I recently ordered my typical 106 Pieces Sushi & Sashimi Boat Platter. This time when I ordered it they decided to give me 52 Pieces of Maki, 30 Pieces of Sushi and a dozen Sashimi. It's not even 100 pieces. I tried contacting them and nicely asked if I may have gotten someone else's order because this isn't the same Platter I have been getting. Sophia, the manager, said I placed the wrong order and should of ordered the 174 Pieces Platter of Sushi, Maki and Sashimi. This didn't make sense to me because first of all, that option is not available in Ubereats menu and why would I order another Platter with more Maki in it? Unfortunately, Sophia wasn't interested in hearing my issue but instead went out of her way to try to blame the error on me. This will be the last time I ever order from 168 Japan Buffet. I just hope they would look at their online menu and update it accordingly if they made changes. Then perhaps they wouldn't have to deal with such issues that they are not equipped, trained or care to. They have zero respect for their customers. Specially Sophia the manager.

I am writing this review to express my displeasure in the service at this restaurant. I am a regular customer here with friends and it's a disappointment when the staff is so unfriendly and inflexible. It is an AYCE style so when ordering food you have lots of plates brought to your table. We always ask for a bigger table because of this. For our comfort. However, every time we visit the staff argues with you and are not friendly at all. I went there the other night and again the lady that was sitting us wanted us to sit at a small table I asked for a table of 4 and was told no. The restaurant was not busy at all with many tables available. This was a Sunday at approximately 630pm so they likely were not going to get any busier. We told them we were going to go to a different sushi buffet and she said fine and we left. Business lost for approximately 90$ because of being inflexible in accommodating our request. Very disappointing!

I recently dined at 168 restaurant that offered an all-you-can-eat dinner menu, and I was eager to try out their sushi offerings. Overall, the freshness of the fish was quite impressive, although I must admit that the sushi sizes were on the smaller side compared to other sushi restaurants I've been to. However, this slight drawback was quickly overshadowed by the opportunity to sample other foods such as wok and their speciality rolls.

Despite the smaller sushi portions, I found the restaurant's all-you-can-eat dinner menu to be a great option for sushi lovers who value variety and appreciate fresh fish. The quick service and pleasant atmosphere further enhanced my overall dining experience

I have been coming to this location for 4 years and I have always had a good experience. I am sad to say that this experience has ended today, as I received an Uber order with my favourite rice and it came with a new ingredient! I called them and they essentially told me to bug off (hah get it) : (very sad I would not recommend

The food was pretty bad. Ordered sushi platter with 3 different kinds of sushi rolls. Rice was super thick layer and all I could taste was rice. There was no flavor either. Compared to other local restaurants where I have ordered sushi. This was pretty bad and will not order nor recommend this place.

RIP OFF ALERT! We were just charged $70 for $20 worth of food. We were given the "buffet" size servings and charged the A La Carte price. Then they told us it was our fault for ordering on the wrong IPAD. Most horrible customer service ever. Complete rip off.

I’ve been here many times in the past and it always was my go-to sushi place. But I got to say, after today’s experience I’m very disappointed. I went in there and was told there is a 50% service charge per person if we wanted a booth. This wasn’t a rule before and there was only one other customer in the restaurant when we were told this. Then the waiter continued to be rude but I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt and continued on with my lunch. The food quality was a lot worse than before, and I felt sick after eating there. Not sure why it was such a bad experience, I really did love this place.

The last restaurant we went to before the pandemic locked us all down was 168 Japan Buffet. So of course, it was also the first we went to when the restrictions lifted! We love it!

Been here many times before. I don't think I will return. We arrived at 3 pm. And at 3: 30 pm was told, we'd have to upgrade to dinner prices if we wanted to order more food. We were only able to order one round of main courses before we were forced into ordering dessert. They said that the lunch times were posted in the tablet and that we should've read the fine print throughly. It's simple. They should've told us when we arrived that lunch was ending in about 30 mins. Not sat us down and then told us we'd have to upgrade to dinner prices if we wanted to order more food. Clearly customer service is not this place's strong point. Brampton and Mississauga is full of sushi places compared to the past. Go somewhere else.

BTW, the last time we ate here a couple of years ago, they tried to charge me adult price for my eldest who was 8 at the time. And they tried to upcharge for my two youngest who were 4 and 6 at the time. This place is just greedy.

UPDATE: We all got food poisoning when we got home. Wow. Just when you thought the experience couldn't get worse.

The restaurant has good food & best customer service. Lunch time is pretty busy. The food is fresh & well maintained the social distances. I would definitely recommend this restaurant

I ordered sushi from this place through “Uber eats” and let me tell you I was delivered the most disgusting looking sushi I have ever given. All the pieces were all mushed up together and got disintegrated before I could even pick it up from my chopsticks. The taste was just like the ones you get from the has station and I was very disappointed. I also ordered grilled eggplant and They sent a box of chard to the extreme eggplant. It was so chard, the burnt smell filled up my kitchen as soon as I open the box. I’m highly dissatisfied with my experience with their food. I have to admit tho, their Mississauga location is way better and their food is phenomenal. Not ordering from the Brampton location again -_-

Before Covid this place was packed and the service was good. I went here two weeks ago (Aug 15 ish) and there was only 2 people inside, a couple in the corner and a couple at the other end. The server asked how many, we said 2, she persisted to seat us right next to the couple in the corner at a table for 2, which was baffling with the safety protocols that should be in place, you would think that sitting us at a table not so close (since they had a ton of empty seats available) would be more ideal. When we asked to be seated at a table not so close which was for 4 people, the waitress persisted to argue with us that that table is for 4 people not 2. When she finally agreed and sat us there, she proceeded to place our orders on the table. One item she placed we didn't order and when we brought it to her attention she took it off of our table (after it was sitting there for about 5 mins) and put it on the couple in the corners table. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND PUTS FOOD FROM ONE TABLE TO SOMEONE ELSE'S! I could of touched it or eaten one and put the bean back in. Not impressed at all and won't be returning here.

Been going here for sushi for years. Definitely nice to have them opened for the buffet again. Only thing I'm unsure about and didnt hear them mention is if they clean the ordering tablets in between patrons.

An old favourite of mine! Food was delicious as always, very clean and distanced. Service was a little slower than usual, but I believe they are shorter staffed due to the covid situation. Definitely recommend, please support local businesses, even if you are just ordering take out or delivery.

Any complaints are the fault of the issuer of the complaint, the menu is easy to understand and ro navigate, the servers are always polite but sadly people think they they don't have to be polite to the staff. The food is amazing the consistency of the food will have me as a lifelong costemer.

I went today and it was the worst experience I ever had at a restaurant. First we were brought our ordering pad. Took us a good 5 to10 minutes to figure our what we wanted. After we ordered we pushed the button to order and the iPad died. Waitress said our order was placed so we waited. We watched other people enter and we watched them start eating as we just sat there. Finally she came back and said our order did not get placed so we had to re order again. Finally when the first thing arrived to the table there was a hair about one foot long in the salad. It was so gross. We had to leave it turned us off we were both full after seeing that hair. I don't advise people to eat there. There are much better places for sushi but our favorite place is closed Tuesdays so we tried this place. What a bad decision

I placed an order through ubereats and they close at 9pm. My order went through at exactly 9 and they still accepted it, I’m so appreciative of that!
Probably my favourite sushi place in the city, delicious every single time, they never miss and their customer service is 10/10!

Amazing sushi every time we order. Consistent on every order tells you quality of food is amazing. Always get the spicy salmon, dynamite and fried rice. Must have restaurant in your rotation for the week.

I came here with my husband on labour day and we had an an amazing time. The variety of dishes and sushi were awesome. I highly recommend this location. Their customer service was good.
