There are not much to choose from the menu, portions are very small. All the fishes weren’t fresh.especially salmon, I couldn’t even finish my plate because of the old fishy smell. Tables are way too close to each other (lady beside us kept leaving and her body was touching our table every time) I also had to kept on having to ask for more water.
You could go to better places with this price:)

I had to change my rating today unfortunately I used to give this place a five-star rating I haven't been here for a while and 90% of the fish I ordered was not fresh. I spit out the Hamachi and half the salmon was okay the other half the salmon was not.

A big sushi restaurant for family and friends to get together.a lot of selections to chose from. A mixed of Japanese and Chinese food place.
2nd time going: I was surprised to see how fresh the sashimi was and the green dragon roll was great as well! I think they have improved quite a lot.

Variety of food was good. Quality of food was also decent. Not as good as it was a couple years ago when I used to go all the time. Their sushi rice is go be desired. I found it too firm.

Overall was a good experience as the servers were very nice and the food again was good.

Loved being served by a robot. That was a really innovative way to provide service during the pandemic. And it's fun and the kids loved it.

Nice selection of food and deserts. Not sure what the difference is between lunch and dinner, I suspect dinner is slightly more variety but given the price difference, I recommend lunch.

Extremely poor selection of items on the menu, poor quality of food. Very high price compared to other ayce sushi places with far better food and service. $36.99 on a weekday with like 20 items in total. Ridiculous!

Came to this restaurant and tried the lunch after the COVID restrictions were loosened and vaccination certificate is required. The restaurant puts the salad and desert bar as the buffet style; anything else still ordered from the iPad. Food and staff is good. Glad this one coming back to operate again. One set of sushi rice was a little too hard…. But didn’t want to deduct stars…. Can’t expect perfection reasonably all the time……

The robots were pretty cool! The service is a little slow, but likely due to increased capacity. I would like to see them sanitize the tablets between each use.

Ordered on skip the dish but forgot to order 2 soups (wonton and hot & sour) We called the place and they said that it was an additional $12 which will be through skip the dish. The email said that an additional charge of $12 for spicy mayo for the sushi, seaweed and tofu for the miso soup that was already in the original order. We called them back to clarify if the $12 was for the soups or the add ons. It was never clarified. So we said to charge the soups separately on the phone through the credit card and the lady said she physically couldn't do it. Idk if i was being taken advantage of by paying an extra $12 for spicy mayo and some more seaweed and tofu. Like if I'm asking for more its because your tofu and seaweed is non existent in your miso soup. Do better! I didn't pay the extra $12. I didn't get my soups and i didn't get spicy mayo on the side and the seaweed and tofu for the miso soup. I'm not surprised because I know this place cheaps out.

This restaurant is not longer good! Horrible customer service and the food quality and variety has decreased dramatically! Just had lunch there, the front door staff were very rude and arguing and insisting that we should download the vaccination app and show our proof of vaccination through the app, although I had my proof of vaccination to show but she kept on going about the fact that I must download the app and insisted that I didnt know this can be done.when I asked for the manager they replied he is not available and we dont know when he will be. Very rude behavior! Yes you do have to check vaccination but this doesnt give you to be rude and force your limited knowledge on others. The is a law that all people need to show proof of vaccination but the is no law that they have to show it through an app and enforcing this on people should be stopped!
I will find all ways that I can to spread the word out that 168 Sushi has rude staff and no management to take care of the customer!

Not much choice of food at all around 4pm. Plus mostly food was warm to cold. Beef teriyaki was so tough and chewy. Not happy at all. Not worth for money you spend.

Excellent sushi restaurant for eat-in and take-out. Large dining area, modern decor, very pleasant atmosphere. Ala carte and all you can eat menu options with a great assortment of delicious dishes. Reasonable prices. Free parking.

2 years ago it was good place. But lately it became the worst restaurant. The food not fresh and every time i went there i got a bad diarrhea after. No one of the waiters smile or said hello.i feel like they are bored.

Came here for all you can eat and sushi was very dry and tasted old wasn't fresh. Paying that amount for dinner you expect to get fresh sushi. Don't think I'll be coming back here again.

Don’t waste your money on this branch! We always go to the Mississauga branch for years. Had to choose this branch becayse I invited my niece and her toddler son who lifes within the area. It was my birthday lunch, there are other AYCE sushi place where she lives in Scarborough, but since we are loyal to Sushi 168 in Mississauga, we decided to drive additional 30 mins.at this branch. A big mistske and disappointnent! Many items we ordered never came, even just the plain rice my niece ordered for her young son never came! We were like beggars waiting for our ordered food to come. The $260 we paid for lunch was not worth it. We were a party of 7 plus a 3 year old toddler. We noticed many of our favourite items invthe ipad ordering were missing. They were not that busy because it was slready around 3 pm, yet service was so slow. Nobody came to refill our drinks. They don’t deserve the 18% tip at all for the lack of customer service. It’s okay that they increased their price for the buffet, we understand that, but to sacrifice the quality of food, that’s not acceptable. They just want profit, over quality and service. I feel so bad when they lost lots of sales during lockdown, but this is not acceptable practice, just to prioritize gaining more profit, and sacrificing quality. Wake up you will lose loyal customers like us. Will never go back to this branch ever again. We will check the Misdissauga location, if the same practice is being implemented, hopefully not!

Can give 0 points and never give a point! The fried shrimp I ordered had wire in it! Tell the waiter that he actually said to take away and re-fry! No apologies! In the end he apologized to the manager, explaining that the wire used for cooking the pot also said that he would not charge money to continue to eat, thinking that it was too disgusting and finally he couldn't eat anymore! You can imagine the sanitation of the wire used for cooking and cooking in the dish!

We chose this place to celebrate a birthday, we checked the price before going, december 17th Monday dinner $30.95, the food was average, but when the bill arrived we were charged $34.95 (holiday price) we asked the server about it, and his explanation was: " we are close to christmas and that's why we charge that price". Are you serious? We asked to talk to the manager, who was rude and never intended to apologize at least. We'll never come back.

I'm not sure what was going on but every 5 minutes we were getting one dish! One by one with too much delay. First and second order mixed up! 2 times asked for more ginger and nothing. Unbelievably slow and messy.

What a horrible experience! We went there with a group of four ppl and we wish we didnt go there at the first. There are couple of notes here that I want to mention: first, they made us waiting for 15 min after we ordered with no follow up. Then they bring two orders and not the rest. We were waiting for 10 more mins. After we asked from waitress that what happened to our order and she said you can order again since it might be lost in the sequence. We did so and after 10 more minutes they brought the dishes like cray and filled the table from two orders. We could not tolerate that much food on the table. After we were done, the waitress came to us and complained that why we waste food and we are going to be charged! Really? For god damn sake the Tofu taste like garbage, the French fries smells like engine oil, how you expect people to eat that garbage? I am sorry but I DO care about my health rather than your business. I will not come back here definitely and will not recommend to anybody out there.

Lots of selections for a la carte and AYCE. There are giant crab legs for weekend dinners and the price is standard but quality is good.

Best decor for a sushi place. No doubt.

Great for parties and dates.

The restaurant offers great service, the staff is friendlt and offer a very easy to use iPad-based ordering system. The menu has plenty of different options for everyone. The restaurant seems clean and the price is fair.

They couldn't even get the water right! The water we were served was room temperature and tasted funny. When we asked for ice, we were told that the ice maker was out of order and offered some ice shavings from the salad bar, which we declined. Speaking of salad bar, it was empty and they didn't seem in a hurry to refill it. The service was robotic or non-existent. The huge amount of globby rice in the rolls overpowered everything else. The novelty of ordering via i-Pad is not worth it and it actually takes longer to order as you have to pass one i-Pad around the table. We will not be going back to this place.

I enjoyed that the portions were smaller in size as I got to sample far more items from a decently sized menu. The place has a modern design to it and the colour theme is quite nice. The fish all tasted fresh and arrived quickly. None of the items we ordered were ever forgotten. The restaurant has buffet in the name but realistically the only buffet is a small salad bar and even smaller dessert station. Nevertheless we enjoyed our meal and will most likely be coming back.

Manager was very rude, I am here with two big families and we requested for two ipads due to the large group and refused they let two family use one iPad. Very unprofessional they need better customer service. I don’t recommend to go here if your a large family they will waste your time.

Great selection of food. It is decent quality for an AYCE place. Dessert was a wonderful surprise with the shaved ice + toppings.

A good fix for an AYCE for lunch.

I have eaten sushi all over the world, and I have to HONESTLY say that this restaurant had some of the best and most freshest sushi I have ever eaten. I am very tough when it comes to reviews. Not only is there sushi and menu excellent, there service is also great. There waitresses are always watching when you are nearly finished your soft drink, and they never come to the table and both U, or your family. The prices are are also very fair for the all that you can eat. We look forward to coming back very soon. S. Z

I wish I could leave 0 for them. As I drove from Bradford to Steeles for my dad's birthday. Awful service, Average food, you'll have to ask server three four times for whatever you need and they multiple your orders and try to charge you extra for not eating and leftover food we had a reservation for 10 people they give us small table for 6 and they expected us to sit around the table as you see in the picture it wasn't easy to sit there, once they brought the foods they realized it doesn't fit on our table, and then they have to move us to another area (after a long argument with the management for a bigger table) middle of our meal. Never recommend this place to anyone and we won't go back there anymore.

Not recommended. Very dissapointed with this place. Food is not bad, but customer service is terrible. On the website there is a price showed for mon-thur, but then you are charged a higher price, and the explanation is "we are close to christmas", so they consider december 17th as a holiday.
I expressed my disagree to the "manager", and she only kept saying that she will let the customer know price when they arrived. No one told us, and I was explaining to her that we planned our dinner base on the website price.

I've been to alot of AYCE sushi joints in the city and 168 is pretty good. A big place, and it will definitely get busy so call for reservations. Service is pretty fast, and the staff is accommodating. This place has the best hand rolls in my opinion; not soggy but just right of crunch. A wide variety of items from sashimi, special rolls to your hot foods. Like most of sushi joints, an iPad is used to placed orders. A recommendation for any sushi lover!

Overall food was okay. They had a salad bar, ice cream bar and shaved ice/dessert bar where anyone can get up and get some for the ayce people.
However food quality was okay, some sushi rolls were good while others were either plain or had a weird flavor (the sushi with regular mayo on top tasted like actual mayo).
Service and servers were nice and the food prep was quick which is why it is still a nice place. But the price for food quality kinda ruined the experience (spent 80+ $ for two people on Friday ayce dinner with no additional purchase of drinks)

I like the style of ordering food via ipad. Quite unique. But Im only giving 3 stars.why? Too many reasons.when we arrive, they sitted us in a crowded area when there are more vacancies around, i ask them if we can be sitted in other area vacant as we have kids with us, they told us its not available.then its my bday that time, so we asked what do they have for bday celebrants like me, the waitress responded that she is not our server and we should ask our server.so we asked our server & we get cheesecake for bday celebrants.the ambience was too noisy but it was ok as it happens all the time with buffet restaurants. Food was ok but
overall i find it expensive though.

I do not know how this place gets so many good reviews. I love the fact that Japanese food does not feel oily and does not upset my stomach no matter how much I eat. But here the food was super oily and the oil felt super cheap, unlike the oil used in other places. Some fries like scallops or squid had too much covering which was salty and oily at the same time. I felt like I would vomit after a while, gulped down most of the food to stop myself from being charged but could not eat the fried squid at all. The waitress was kind enough to listen to our feedback and not charge for the fried squid we wasted. It was inedible: {

I came here on a Saturday Night with some friends and decided to do AYCE.

I wasn't a huge fan of the experience, but it was okkkk.

If you haven't been here before, it can be a bit confusing because the system is such that for some apps and all of the desserts is self serve.
I didn't realize until the dessert portion of our meal that there were self serve apps, and by then it was too late. So I kind of wish, a server had mentioned that to me before I ordered.

The food was okk.
We ordered our standard
California Rolls, Dynamite Rolls, Spicy Salmon Roll, Cucumber Rolls.
By far the Dynamite Rolls were the best, we even ordered multiple rounds of it. Unfortunately, the Spicy Salmon Roll was the lamest, the meat was pretty fibrous and there wasn't even any spicy mayo served on it or next to it.

Service is pretty good, the servers here are really fast at clearing off the tables, but a couple of times during our meal, some items never came, and we had to reorder them.

It was a bit pricey for quality of food a service we received: $33.95 for a Saturday night.

Definitely not my first choice of an AYCE Sushi Restaurant, so unlikely I would come back.

I love their food! And since this is a very busy restaurant, so I guess that is why their utensils and cups are not that clean. But I think they should put an extra effort to still maintain the cleanliness and rest assured the health of the customers.

Don't go there if you eat with your friends, they just put multiple same order in just one dish, how can you share with your friends, we go there for sushi just because we can enjoy food separately.

Update: only worth it to go for lunch friday to sunday! They slack on the quality of the sushi on their less busy days.original review: Pretty tasty! The sushi is decent for an AYCE spot and for the price. Excellent i-pad ordering system; efficient and quick. Nice decor and solid service all around. I like the dessert bar as well (the ice-cream is so good!) Will defn return.

Well, let me start on a positive note (I really try being positive in my reviews). This buffet serves good sushi and there is a soup/salad/desert buffet. So, after you ordered your all you can eat sushi you could have a snack. Not bad at all! In terms of service: it is relatively fast. The place is a bit noisy though
But… For two adults and a kid I have paid around $100. Correct me if I am wrong but $34 a person for all you can eat is a bit too much. (-1.5 star)
There was something else that I did not like. As a matter of fact, it shocked me. Right next to my table there was a group of people having dinner… Then a member of staff has joined them…. Drinking sake (?). This might be OK in Asian culture but certainly unacceptable in a world I live in….
