Today we made an appointment for our 2 kids with Dr. Lao. Prior with our appointment we receive a phone call telling us that our schedule wil be at 12: 15pm.

The lady who call us thinks that she was talking to a computer or answering machine. You can poorly understand the words coming from her since she was talking to so fast.

On the date of appointment, she called us and saying our appointment is at 11: 45. And again she was not giving us to talk and even blaming us that we don't understand what she was saying. And even lied when she said we received and email and we confirmed. This lady is a liar and hoping she listed to thisnkind of suggestions.

It is an absolute poo review, cannot be recommended.

Bad customer service.

I’ve been going to Dr. Lau for 13 years now all 5 of my children go there. I would definitely recommend him, he always listens to my concerns.

Dr. Jacob and his assistant Sharon are great and always helpful. I'm taking my kids since they were babies, he's knowledgeable and I highly recommend them.

If I could give a 0 star I would. No respect they don’t listen to anything. They have the worst assistant and she has no respect. They don’t cooperate with us or no one. Don’t go here just a waste of time. I had an appointment for today and they said I have it for yesterday and they said they can’t do anything. They literally telling us to go buy the medicine and are giving us no prescription. There phone never works like once we tried getting hold of them and they didn’t pick up. It was a appointment needed urgently.

I’m writing this because I would hate for a parent to have the same experience that I did at this clinic. I use to go to this place and have been meaning to review it for a while. Just came across it while looking for a new paediatrician and noticed that’s it’s rated a 4/5. Honestly I don’t know why. The place is dirty, the receptionist is rude and Dr. Lau doesn’t care about his patients or their parents. I’ve never met a more unemapathic and rude person in my life. He was okay when I first started going, he provided standard care, no interaction with child. I later realized what a mistake it was to go to him. My daughter had a lump under her arm that wouldn’t go away, so me, being terrified, went to go check it out. Instead of him being compassionate and empathic, he spend a straight 5 minutes yelling at me because I mentioned that no one booked or reminded us about booking her last vaccination (which was what they use to do). He yelled at me saying it was their job to do so, which I understand, but if you make it standard practice, you can’t just stop since patients, especially first time parents rely on it. Anyways he sent my for an ultrasound and I waited 3 weeks in which I kept calling and leaving voicemails and no return or call to discuss results. Finally they picked up and it turned out that the results were not normal and my daughters lump had to be examined further. This news obviously made my heart drop and my husband and I asked for clarification on what the issue could be. Instead of Dr. Lau being supportive and patient he got annoyed at having to explain to my husband what the situation was. His words “Pay attention because I’m not going to sit here and keep explaining the same thing again and again”. Thankfully it turned out to be benign tumour that needed to be surgically removed. He sent me for a follow ultrasound at Etobicoke hospital that took 4 weeks to call me for a booking, by then we had already gone to sick kids had the ultrasound and booked a surgery date. This was a just a horrible experience and I do not recommend that anyone bring their baby here.

Horrible and careless place, they will always tell you take take your kid to urgent care instead of helping your kid

Calling them is always impossible. The phone lines will always hang up on you when you try to call. The pediatrician's are amazing though I will give them that. But they need to work on figuring out their phone situation. It makes it impossible.

We’ve been seeing Dr Jacob since my son was a baby.he’s turning 7.my daughter is 5 and my 3rd child is 3.he’s extremely talented and beyond amazing.my 2nd child has all sorts of things happen to her and he’s always been on top of her health and making sure she’s doing well.i’m sure he has a lot of clients and to know your children off the bat speaks volume.i absolutely love his receptionist.she’s sooo caring and amazing.they are a A team.
