Loved the experience. It was very busy and bustling with summer vibes and events. The hot dog stands are a must! So amazing! I really loved the vibe! Of course there was a crazy person who jumped in the pond with speakers and seeing the security trying to get him out was so funny! And the birds are a menace. Feed them at your own peril
An outdoors ice rink mask or no mask it is all good keep your distance enjoy the music skate to the beat. Renting is available the line up to rent is ok in the mornings, but too busy in the Evenings better have your own skates or watch the surrounding buildings as you wait, chat, and the action on the rink is fun to watch.
The Toronto sign is a great photo op, especially for visitors to the city, but sometimes it can be hard to get a shot without others in the photo. While there are things like skating and holiday lights in the winter and occasional events year-round at Nathan Phillips Square, there generally isn't a ton to do there, so tourists should plan for other activities (shopping at Eaton Centre nearby or other sightseeing spots around the city).
The crowd was just overwhelming in these covid times, people were just going hilarious, for the 1230 pm on 31st December 2021 night, cool way to welcome the New Year, the whole place was full of people and cars, just jam everywhere
This TORONTO sign in front of the city hall was first installed for the Pan Am games has been a huge success for both locals and visitors. Originally a temporary sign has now been upgraded to withstand our 4 season weather and popular selfie photo spot as it changes colours to reflect current cultural activities ranging from sports to major events. Kudos to the creator
Hard to believe it's been over 6 years since this sign was put up. Started a trend that was even copied by Cabada 150 a couple of years later in 2017. The addition of the circle medicine ball in 2018 is not only appropriate but was a precursor of the day of reconciliation in 2021 with the unfortunate reality of residential schools. Hopefully it is maintained and refreshed as needed. It adds colour to an otherwise grayscale square. Also hope new ways are thought of to better reflect and celebrate Toronto's diversity especially right here in the square that used to be the Jewish, Chinese, and Portugese ghetto before city hall was built.
Love it, spent the day with an old friend here, chit chatted.great place to relax & enjoy the scenery plus you could grab a bite to eat to on a bench or under a tree. Beautiful
Was there last night The Vibe was nice and mellow The hot dog and chips trucks had big Line ups Everyone was enjoying the lovely weather This is a great location to take a break Have a coffee or ice cream
Interestingly cool place in the middle of the city, although it took for us to take photos next to the Toronto letters a long time as they were always occupied by couples getting married.
We visited the first week of March before Canadian Spring Break and tourist herds arrive. It was not that crowded, and we could enjoy the hipster music while watching people skating in front of the sign. There was a local market next to it with variety of food trucks, homemade food kiosks and handmade articles that was really nice. We had one of our best homie hot chocolates and cheesecake here! Close to Queen Street W (or was it E lol) with a lot of things to do nearby.
This sign is so iconic. If you are visiting Toronto, you are pretty much required to take a picture with it lol. I just wish it was little more, maybe its just me. I feel like it there could be a landmark that is more iconic. It would be interesting to see them try out different things
I <3 Toronto. Love this area of Downtown Toronto, especially during early Spring where it's chilly and the lighting is very nice for natural photographs
The CN building was completed in 1976, when this name "CN" is an acronym for Canadian National, the railroad company that built the tower. The tower held a height record for 32 years until 2007 when it was ousted by a similar structure in Tokyo. Today it is the ninth tallest structure in the world, but at least it remains the tallest in the Western Hemisphere. Note that in 1995, the tower was declared - for some reason - one of the seven modern world wonders by the American Society of Civil Engineers. The tower also belongs to the World Federation of Big Towers, which none of you knew existed until now because who knew!? Either way, it's a signature skyline icon for the Toronto skyline and if you visit it you'll be part of two million international visitors each year.
Good to visit but if you can Buy the tickets from internet earlier this Will save You some bucks. Please do this before they are a pass that include the acuaryum and the cn tower. If is a clowdy day is not as good as You expect try to avoid it you will see some Miles ago
It's a pretty cool landmark now after suit Blanche. So happy they added the medicine wheel to its design:). It's a must see and bring/rent your skates and get some grub from a food truck if visiting in the winter
