692 Coffee and Bar

This is so far my favourite exquisite coffee shop in Manotick, Ottawa. The cafe has a home-like vibe. The drinks and baked goodies are top notch. The cookies are so tasty and well portioned. Customer service is respectful and friendly. The inside of the cafe is clean and spacious.

649 Coffee is a delightful experience. The cappuccinos and scone were delicious, and the overall vibe was fantastic. A spot worth revisiting for tasty and enjoyable time.

What a great spot! Fabulous friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Baked goods are stellar and the coffee bar makes this a great place for a quick stop or long read of a book.

This place is a hidden gem, I rarely find good coffee in Ottawa, but this coffee is worth driving couple of more kilometers to Manotick. The place is also very cozy and on Sunday, they had live music performance. Hope to see more places like this in Ottawa.

What a GREAT spot to have stumbled upon yesterday! I was killing sometime before my pedicure at Peppermint Spa down the road and walked over to 692 Coffee and Bar. I was immediately greeted by the nice ladies behind the counter and was recommended to have an iced matcha latte and chocolate chip coffee for an afternoon pick me up. Delicious and really well made matcha. The coffee shop/bar itself its incredibly well decorated, from the moment you walk in, it's stylish, welcoming and cozy. The decor, furnishings, fireplace and wallpaper in the bathroom were my favourite. Then I saw the back patio area and immediately decided this was my new favourite coffee shop. I'll be coming here way more often to do some work, read or socialize as the customers even are greeted by first name (which I love). I was also told about open mic night on the last Thursday of each month and thought that was nice to hear of events by word of mouth, I can tell this place really treasures community and social interaction. Can't wait to come back with friends and family:)

I was in 692 for my regular order and while I was sitting there I thought to myself, this is the best coffee I've had in my life. I even commented on this when I spoke to a family member. The friendly atmosphere, food and coffee definately add to the quality of life in Manotick.

At 692, they get customer service! One of the most memorable experiences I've ever had!

We stopped here on recommendation from another local business, North Station Provisions. We ordered, found a table, and waited.
We were told when our drinks were up. Then the day manager, Johnathan, came to our table to tell me they had run out of waffle mix. I love waffles. He apologized and offered to make this up with a more expensive sandwich option, which was surprisingly good.and more than made up for the waffles.
We thanked him and left. About, 20 feet down the sidewalk, Johnathan called out to us and came to ask my partner's name, and gave us the history of the 692 name, the original area code for Manotick before amalgamation into Ottawa, and thanked us again for being great customers.
Now that's what I call great service! We will definitely go back.
Update:
Back again, and the waffles were worth the return trip. Same great atmospher! Same great service!

A quaint little spot for a coffee in an old historic building, even had a visit from Mr. & Mrs. Claus

Great coffee and thank you for having gluten free sandwiches. Just a bit of constructive info. (We told the lady at the bar. She didn’t seem to care) when someone orders a gluten free sandwich. Don’t put chips with gluten in them on the plate. Someone will eat them thinking they might be gluten free and have a terrible afternoon. Allergies are no joke. Please inform your staff.

Ordered a classic macchiato but what arrived was a large coffee with foam. The barista wasn’t familiar with the classic macchiato. Training needed! Owner has responded but not explained why they do not serve a macchiato.

Super coffee selection, wonderful atmosphere, great service, just an all round fabulous place to go for friendship and refreshment.

I don’t know why I didn’t make a review before but I loved this place since the first time I went there I believe in 2019, the coffee is at a good price for how good it is, I love the place is relaxed and cozy, and the staff there is amazing, I still don’t know their names but I always see a guy with black hair and I think a woman with blonde hair, they are very nice, I wish I could go more often but is a bit far from my house, but is worth the 30 minute drive tho

I enjoy coming to this locally owned coffee bar every morning. The employees are nice and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The prices are a bit higher than at Starbucks, but you're supporting a locally owned and operated business and the quality for the food and coffee is FANTASTIC.

Love the service, great tasting coffee and the breakfast sandwich is super tasty. Thoroughly recommend a visit.

I had extremely high hopes for this place as it was recommended by both a zealous young fan i know and respect and an incredibly wise woman that has given me a fair bit of good advice the last few months. While i feared the young man may have been slightly biased a felt sure the lovely lady was giving me an honest assessment. I was quite surprised when i found out both parties were understating things. The atmosphere is bright and cheery and happy regulars seemed right at home. That feeling soon spread to me as i was given an extremely warm welcome. The lady at the counter was efficient and helped me quickly navigate the morning menu. I was soon ensconced in a comfortable corner, provided a wifi password and typing away merrily on my laptop. My small bladder prompted me to check out the lavatory which was immaculate clean, not an easy task considering the volume and number of mothers with young children that popped in and out. When i returned to my table empty it was time to refill and luckily my soup and coffee wee steaming away waiting for me. The coffee was served in a nice mug and a swan of cream floated upon an aromatic brew that beckoned me to taste it. It did not disappoint nor did the tomato soup which was excellent; it did present a question that still baffles me. Does the fit looking cook forgo his excellent creations or does he work out relentlessly or both? Anyway i quickly did find out why they are so highly recommended. If you are driving by stop in and ill wager you will be glad you did.

Beautiful and quaint coffee shop. It has a beautiful atmosphere and loads of seats. We had an excellent London fog with oat milk, Americano and to eat sourdough and pita with hummus. The sizes are reasonable for the price and they have loads of vegan options, too bad they ran out of their faux tuna before we order food. Highly recommended.

Great local Manotick coffee bar with an awesome selection of baked goods, including gluten-free options! Very friendly staff. Met up with some friends. I'll be back.

Wonderful coffee, I love how many dairy free milk options they have! Lovely atmosphere, delicious food.

Brutally slow and over priced. Not sure if they know how to make espresso properly. Pulled my shots for a flat white had a conversation with another employee then decided it would be a good time to steam milk… dead burnt taste for 3.75 and a sandwich for $12 that looks like it was made by a kid

Ordered a latte an an iced latte. The espresso was good but the milk for the latte was sadly too hot. The iced latte was very good. Much much better than Starbucks, but not the pinnacle of coffee shops

Coffee and beer are good. They do discriminate though based on your private and personal health choices.

Best London fog I’ve had in a long time. Vegan-friendly options. The staff make such a friendly and home-like environment. Will definitely be coming back.

Great addition to the coffee scene in Manotick. Their dessert selection is limited but they make up for that with excellent coffee and positive energy.

Stopped there this morning with my wife for scones. They were amazing, just like the staff and beautiful coffee shop.

One of the best interactions I've ever had with a business owner.sadly we didn't have the chance to get the fresh scones which we will definitely coming back for, but we got free cookies instead. Can't recommend this place enough.

The sweetest and friendliest cafe and bar we know of in Ottawa! The staff feel like your long time friends almost instantly, the food and drinks make your mouth want to do a happy dance, and you're guaranteed to leave with a smile on your face! Highly recommend to anyone and everyone!

If you have not checked out/ visited this gem in Manotick I suggest you do - The staff are amazing, The Coffee is fantastic as is the food - Our Bulldog Henry loves it there (He is now a proud Puppuccino Member) and we feel like part of the family every time we visit! 692 is amazing and HIGHLY recommend

This cafe was absolutely worth the drive out to Manotick. The interior is gorgeous, with a lovely floral mural. The coffee was great, the staff was friendly, and the service was very fast. I would definitely return to this cafe.

What a gem of a coffee shop! Visited for the first time today and it was bustling. An incredibly friendly vibe, and all I saw as I looked around were smiling customers and staff, who seemed to all know a familiar face or two in the cafe. If the staff were exhausted from the expected overtime with any new business, their warm hospitality overcame it all.

The design is rustic with the countertops and tiling, and modern with the Instagram-friendly mural and clean decor.

Coffee was excellent. They have some sandwiches, a salad, soup, lots of scones and a few other treats. The soup was a delicious 7-veggie mix, dairy and gluten free. The pumpkin scone was soft and tasty and the almond biscotti had great texture and flavour. They also serve alcohol!

What a great addition to Manotick, and wish I lived closer! Will be back though because it is definitely worth the trip.

What a great place! I like the atmosphere. I got an Americano and a cupcake and both were really good.

I can't say enough great things about this place. The food and service are FANTASTIC. Staff are so friendly, coffee is amazing (even the decaf) and there are healthy options on the menu (as well as decadent ones). The decor is gorgeous. It's obvious the owners care so much about their business. I'll be back at night for wine! Such a cute spot.
