The romantic decoration with candles inside does not match the loud club style music! So loud and uncomfortable - We went for a romantic night but it was a very bad experience and on top of that the food experience wasn't good either.
We did an early evening Uber Eats order of three 7Numbers entrées and two sides. The booking and handling of the order was good on a Saturday with delivery early in the promised time window.
Obviously some of 7Numbers Danforth foods are advance prepared to plate and send out, depending what. The famed lasagna is tasty and comforting, I would still say the noodles are quite excessively soft for beginning of day and even for 21- texturally the dish would greatly benefit from more frequent preparation. It’s such a simply tastefully prepared dish.
Also the Pollo Parma, again keeping it simple but hardy and comfortable… This dish is essentially just a piece of nicely dressed chicken breast, and it is excessively dry which implies Batch preparation from a previous time…it seems not made to order which would vastly improve the texture. Still has merit as a solid reliable 26- entrée with good flavours. Will forgive the partially lumpy and mealy texture and even try order this again.
The Icelandic cod puttanesca 29- was a surprise of smells and tastes, first ever try of this salty and fiery specialty. The fish has actually a beautiful texture if one can get past the unfamiliar pungent aroma and try to appreciate what this dish is.it’s not one of the easygoing & subtle mains on offer at 7Numbers and I’m glad to try new things.
The sautéed rapini 9- and sautéed bacon-onion brussels sprouts ‘Cavolini’ 9- were both great with the right degree of smoky-salty pan oil characteristics to enhance the veg texture which is right on point.
These kindly folks have run Gio Ranas restaurant forever.famous meatballs. I will order from here again or visit, and I may also order from the far more recently opened Tulia at Greenwood and Queen for a few different choices and a little different styles approach, maybe less family more classic. Because we are right to love Italian. All of it…
Second time at 7 numbers and this time really ruined my experiences there. 1) service was lackluster. We had made a reservation for eight people and had asked if we could all sit at a single table. They had agreed to it. When we got there they had given us two tables of four. There was an available table of eight as well as another table that could fit 8 but only had two people sitting at it. When we asked if we could get the available table of 8, they said that it was booked for a family of eight. Why the other group was prioritized over us, I am uncertain. But also they could have just planned better and held on the other table of eight instead of sitting instead of just two people there. If I wanted to eat with just my family then I would have ate at home and not paid to eat out. Ridiculous. 2) food - we ordered Burrata, lasagna, rapini and chicken parmasiana. Everything was super salty. Burrata was ok. Nothing special. Lasagna was below average tasting. In fact, I've made a lot of lasagna that tasted better than the one I had here. The rapini was routine. And the chicken was horribly disappointing. Not just super salty but also dry. Overall it was very disappointing and the fact that we couldn't sit with the other family that we had booked with made the experience really bad. Unfortunate since our first time here was good
This was our favorite local Italian restaurant. We made a reservation on NYE and completely disappointed it was a set menu. The website, instagram or reservation booking did not mention a set menu. The menu did not have a price listed, no dessert included and the second serving was the only course with an option. While it was a lot of food we didn’t enjoy the feeling of overeating, overpaying with little to no options for meal choices. We had dinner at 7Numbers last year and paid double for our meal this year. We will not go back on NYE or any other day. They should have been more upfront with their menu.
Great food, service, warm cozy and ambient. Our server went over and beyond, my 11 year old was very happy with his accommodated Alfredo. Price point was reasonable, portions were satisfying. We will be back!
Our favorite Italian restaurant in Toronto. The menu features traditional favorites updated with modern ingredients, careful seasoning, and beautiful preparation. For example, the mushroom risotto is amazing. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient - the restaurant is typically quite busy. Over time, we have really appreciated the cocktail menu and engaging conversation with the bartender. Our favorite season for visiting is summer, of course, when it's possible to sit outside on the patio, watch the city go by, and enjoy the seasonal flavors in the food. Highly recommended during any season.
I just love this restaurant. I can’t stop ordering the calamari every time I go, and I have yet to find anything on the menu that isn’t amazing. Mama Rosa and Raj execute so well every time. And the place has such a warm feel with a little excitement to it. If you haven’t been, this is a must-go restaurant in Toronto.
A great authentic Italian eatery along a very interesting stretch of the Danforth, multiple funky bars ideal for the pre-dinner bourbon. My vote for 7Numbers was eventually confirmed by my Calabrian in-laws so no bias here. Laid back candlelit atmosphere with attentive service, a good deal all round, a nice respite from the Big Smoke rat race. Half the cost of King West.
Hands down this is one of my all time favourite restaurants. Amazing atmosphere, cozy, warm and bustling. Great food, having lived in Italy for a while, I find the food very reminiscent of my time there.
We find 7 Numbers a great place to dine for both casual and special occasion dinners. The food is delicious, the service efficient, and all staff are polite and welcoming. We highly recommend going.
I brought some friends with me just before Christmas 2022. I had raved about the food the owners and the service. As it turns out, my parents are from the same area in Italy as the owner. The food and flavours were just like Mamma's. Truly. Both my parents have passed away, so a home cooked meal is highly appreciated. Love this place.
7 Numbers is our favourite restaurant in Toronto. The food and service is incredible. The only challenge is trying not to eat everything on the menu! Our favourites are the lasagna, eggplant and meatballs. So good!
Food has always been delicious here but this week we met Shome (I hope I spelled that correctly) who provided stellar service and knowledge. A delightful meal on their patio. I recommend family style menu which is a set price with lots of food / you select your main. Drinks are great too. We had the fizzy lemon mixed drink and the spritz.
