Ordered online. Food is delicious! This is my new go to for Chinese. Cant wait to try some different items. Thanks for the quality!

Food is yummy and prices are good! Shanghai noodles are super tasty. The only thing we didn’t like were the pan fried pork dumplings. Service is absolutely terrible, but that’s not why we go there. They only have one or two staff managing everything, so they are just overworked. You have to ask for everything and usually one thing you order either doesn’t come or comes way too late. A great place for cheap Chinese!

Just realized they moved from Kingston Rd takeout only location to a nice new full restaurant at Queen St E. Cantonese chow mein loaded with meats and seafood was very good. The sour soup was one of the best I've ever eaten, with a beautiful balance of sour and umami flavours. Eat here.

If you’re looking for some standard Chinese food this is the place to go. My go to is the General Tao and Fried Rice. Can’t go wrong there.

Best Chinese food for dine in or take out in the Beaches. My family loves this place! Nice to have a place with great dim sum locally. Staff are super attentive & friendly.

Generally, when I order General Tao's Chicken it is much spicier than theirs. There was cross contamination of flavor in the dishes. Beef and broccoli had a shrimp taste to it. Probably will not order again.

Tried this restaurant for delivery (Yeah! They had an in house driver!) and ordered a bunch of dishes. Some of the stand outs were:
Crispy Beef - crispy beef done absolutely right, on a bed of fresh sauteed brocolli with a delicious honey sauce.
Crispy salt and peper wings servered with lots of complimentry garnish. REally solid wings with great flavour.
Beef with Black bean sauce and flat noodle. Perfectly done.
Liked the 9 treasure veggies, but personally I wanted a bit more flavour to the sauce, and more asian varieties of veggies (ie bok choy and asian mushrooms - not regular mushrooms) although my partner loved it. I also know for the price point and the price of asain mushrooms - perhaps encorporating that might not be possilbe.
I would love to try their Mah Po tofu and special eggplant next time as I feel they are dynamite!

We will definatly be ordering from this Queen East resto again.

Ordered for the first time the other day. Was craving barbecue pork buns. They were pleasant on the phone. Menu is reasonably priced. Food came fast. They made a mistake with my order. Let me keep what they sent and delivered what I had ordered. Good customer service is hard to come by These days.

This place is by far the best Chinese food in the east end. Have tried many other places in the area and did not enjoy them. 955 Chinese is awesome! Really love their chicken balls, lemon chicken, Shanghai noodles, and fried rice!

My go-to Chinese food take out. Every dish I get is how it’s supposed to taste. Not greasy and portions are perfect. Service is always on time and the staff are amazing people.

The driver showed up to my friends door with our food on the floor demanding that we give him a tip! He dated verbatim that if we aren’t going to tip then we should go pick up our food ourselves! My family nor my friends will ever buy from here again, when I asked the driver for his name he became even more rude raising his voice saying never mind and walked off! Highly disrespectful as stated will never ever buy from this company again. If I could leave negative stars I would

Love this place! Only place I will order from. I love the fact when I asked for Chilli oil, I actually get it (i like the taste of their chilli oil). Food is really good! I love their beef and flat noodle dish. Vegetables are always cooked nice and not to oliy. Great place must try!

Fresh clean and robot assisted waiters.i had spec #1, lemon chicken, it was great.two others had the lunch buffet, they loved it.highly recomended.no hot sauce or soy sauce offered.

Service was fast, servers were super friendly and the food was great! They have a robot that helps serve the food which was very exciting for our daughter and added something entertaining while we were waiting for our food. Portions were a good size. The restaurant is nice and clean. Will definitely go back.

This is definitely my favorite Chinese restaurant. They have the best chicken wings and the portions are great. I could eat here everyday.

The food is excellent only if you get the right order. The person who is taking the order or packing the order has no idea what they are doing. I would say my order is incorrect 50% of the time for the past 2 years of ordering food. It's so frustrating. I just can't order food from here anymore. Unfortunately i now need to find a new Chinese takeout place. I hope this can be sorted out internally. Best of luck.

FYI.
I ask for non-spicy noodles, i get it loaded with chilies, not once or twice, but multiple times - it's not even edible. I ask for general tso chicken, i get chicken wings. I ask for lemon chicken, i get no lemon sauce, etc. Get your act together.

Not bad. Mapo tofu and chef's eggplant were delicious. Cantonese chow mein was very bland.

Hidden gem? The sign, name, and menu outside did not match the indoor vibe (which was elegantly decorated and looked like a great place to sit). The service was fast and friendly and the menu had tons of options. Unfortunately the menu items had no decryptions and it was very difficult to discern if dishes were vegetarian friendly.

Excellent quality food, service is good and there is a robot to deliver the food on trays! Pretty cool! Staff are very polite too. Family had a pleasant time as well after many visits (that is how I heard about this restaurant). Definitely recommend if you are looking for Chinese food in the Beaches.

Probably some of the best Chinese food we’ve ever had, highly recommended, must try. Everything was absolutely fresh and delicious.

First time I ordered from this awsome Chinese food place, ordered 2 Lemon Chicken and 2 chicken fried rice, it was still very hot when delivered, I will never order from another Chinese food store, highly recommended, very very pleased with the food and delivery, customer service, Thank you for the great food, Thank You 955 Chinese food! Our new go to Chinese food in the Beach. Everything was delivered hot and super fresh. The crispy beef was soooo goooooooood! Great service. We will definitely be ordering from here again.

Good food, although the enjoyment appears to come partly from sugar and possibly MSG.

Just writing the review as I ordered online, a $13.95 dish, with "free" delivery. The bill I got had a $3 charge plus HST ($3.39) for being an order under $30. No mention of this rule on their website, and a different bill and amount than the one emailed to me. If you want to charge $3.39 extra, do it when the order is placed.

Triple checked the website. Says nothing about minimum order or $3 charge.

They've moved one East West street down from Kingston road to Queen streethough the Queen street but tonight the weight was exceptionally long as well as many customers and you will see those comments from December 17th from 6 PM to 10 PM.

It’s a 2 simply because the crispy chicken was good, well seasoned. They however just put it on top of dry crispy (fried) noodles. No sauce, no seasoning nothing. I ordered because of the reviews and I Am so disappointed. I wasted my money and feel robbed and they charged me $21.41!

A nice new location, but they seem to have lost some organizational skills in the move. Long wait times for pick up about twice what you are told. Uber drivers all waiting patiently for orders. And the food was rushed through the kitchen so unfortunately the quality suffered.

Great variety and clean settings. Service was great, friendly and efficient.

Been ordering from them for delivery but decided to try their dine in today, food was amazing, and the decorations of the dining room was beautiful! Great addition to the beach area, welcome!

Never going back because I order the chicken balls and they had partial raw dough in the middle and i don’t know what kind of chicken it was but it was very mushy and had no flavour. Spent $15 for chicken balls that were 30%chicken 70% partially cook dough batter.

Been going here for years, and it's been fantastic every time. They seem to have moved to Queen Street, and raised the prices, while shrinking the portions. No idea how a combo can be made without an egg roll. Disappointing for sure.

Tried 995 Chinese last night (Oct 8,2021) for the first time. Very glad we did!

We only got two dishes and veggie egg rolls. Black Bean Sauce with Beef and Broad Noodles was fantastic! The General Yao’s Chicken was also fantastic! Juicy, breast meat - both generous serving sizes.

The Veggie Egg Rolls were the only pass, but we normally don’t get those.

To me, even with my small sample size, this is the best Chinese food in the east end, by far. It’s just like the more famous shops on Spadina. It’s not the faux stuff you get from the Goof or Honey Bee. It’s in the same league as Swatow and Rol San.

Super happy they opened on Queen.

Will go back soon and try some other dishes. Can’t wait to try their dim sum, too.

Food is great. You need to get your timing right between when the software says the food will be ready vs.when it is ACTUALLY ready. I waited TWENTY minutes on Oct 24 for my food. The cashier kept saying 5 minutes and I didn't believe her. IN ADDITION, I ordered the fried rice and got a beef dish instead. Your restaurant should DOUBLE CHECK each dish and put a tick mark on the dish for quality control instead of just ticking the piece of paper where the items have been noted. Welcome to Queen Street and lets hope these two matters get ironed out before the end of the year.

Probably the worst Chinese food I have ever had. Very bland rice, mediocre meat. I actually threw out the food I didn't finish.

Please note that if you order online the Add Section will add the item to the previous item you added. EG. I added pork to see what would happen and it got added to the eggplant dish I just added before that.

Order took 2.5 hours to arrive after ordering. Not sure what the issue was but they should have conveyed wait time properly also forgot my egg roll. Ordering General Tso (tasty but not spicy), Crispy Beef (almost too crispy but still yummy). Fried rice was deliciouis. All said get the delays down and would order again.

Edit: ordered again and things went a lot smoother. One of the better Canadian Chinese food places around.

Ordered direct after finding them on Not Ubereats. Lightning quick delivery, flavourful dishes.

Went there today based on all the good reviews. Got the crispy beef but was more like taffy beef. Stuck to my teeth like candy and basically not edible. I've had good crispy beef so I know what it should be like. It was at New Sky on Spadina. The Lo Mein was very oily and only a couple pieces of carrots and broccoli each. Not the best I've had by a long shot. The egg rolls were alright. And finally the chicken balls.well. I actually liked those. My girlfriend thought they we're undercooked b/c they were a bit doughy inside but I didn't mind.

Big portions of ok quality food. Waited almost 2 hrs for delivery and had 3 calls to check the status. Wouldn't order again.

Worst customer service and terrible food! Avoid at all costs! Yesterday I called them at 3: 15pm, placed an order to be delivered at 5: 45pm. I call them at 5: 50pm to see where the food is, and speak to some rude girl, who put me on hold for 8 minutes and I can hear helping other customers. When we finally talk, I am upset and she tells me that they are very busy (Chinese New Year) and the food is on the way. She lied. 20 minutes later, I go to the restaurant (I have 3 kids under the age of 5 waiting for their dinner) to see if the food is there and again, she lies, telling me that the food will be at my house at any moment. I see a man inside wearing no mask, who ends up being the man who delivers my food 30 minutes later (a total of 1 hour late), meaning my food hadn't been cooked when I was there. The food was sub par, especially the higher priced items like the beef (super tough and fatty) and scallops. I would never order from this establishment again, as they don't value honesty or their clients.

Best Chinese food in the east end. Fresh and delicious. The wonton soup is my favorite anywhere and the house fried rice is excellent. Ordered through the website and it came fast.

I recieved a menu in my mail box. I took a gamble. The food arrived in 30 minutes. The driver must have flown a helicopter. The food was great.

We ordered from them completely on impulse and on a whim when we found their brochure in our mailbox.

We took the risk and ordered their scallops and lobster and holy, it was amazing.
It was fresh, flavorful and it was cooked perfectly (not under or over)!

They delivered efficiently! The manager and the girl who took my order was so sweet!
Love love love this establishment and I've only ordered once!
