Was there tonight for pint n pound, ordered extra extra well done crispy hot. First order was excellent, ordered a second pound and they brought out BBQ, I said these are not mine, I ordered extra extra well done crispy hot. She brought "my" wings back out 2 minutes later. They were the BBQ tossed in hot sauce, and they were cold. This is starting to happen more and more here, I will never be back. Brought it to there attention and nothing. My opinion

A cozy pub with plenty of seating and screens to watch the news and games. The servers all are very attentive. Grace K did an amazing job with us. We had a pitcher of beer and a plate of loaded nachos for about $40. Worth it.

What you’d expect out of an outskirts GTA pub. Wings were on par and fries were tasty and crispy.

It is a great place to stop in for a bite to eat and watch the game! The food was good and the service was great. It's got a great pub atmosphere and the staff was courteous.

Food was excellent but my Curry was cool. The waitress said it couldn't be as she brought it out hot but that wasn't the case, the manager came by and took it to be heated, it was a little better. I just like my food hot. If it's put onto a cold plate then it's cool when it arrives. The taste of the curry was really great. We will definitely return.

Not very bad, The music was too loud but some people may like it. The chicken and ribs was rather dry, Taste ok.

Great food, fantastic service and low key for families. The menu is to die for with the huge variety. I go there quite often and will keep supporting this business.

My husband and I are regulars. We thought we’d have a different dish tonight and had the butternut squash ravioli. It was absolutely delicious! A salad was included. We absolutely enjoy Stones Throw! Great server tonight. Adee, thanks for all you do! Chuck & Sandy

It was pretty nice, average pub type food. They are quick and have nice seating.

I had my order messed up a little but nothing too serious, it’s good place for a night out.

This truly was the worst dining experience.
For 6 people food was wrong, no cutlery,
Cold food, all at different times, chicken not cooked no wine glasses so waitress had to clean our glasses before getting new wine. Beer not that cold
Don't bother going to this place unless a major shake up happens.

This used to be a go-to place for takeout. Lately order is always incorrect and takes over an hour to be ready. Food is good, but terrible service.

Great, diverse menu. Big patio. Good service. What it lacks in anesthetics it makes up for in the menu. Which in the end is what matters most.

Great place for your classic pub eats. They have a decent selection of craft beers with your standard domestic beers on tap. Spacing was somewhat tight but doesn’t seem to be one table without a great view of a TV. The pizza was a great size for the price as well. We’ll be back!

I've been here a couple of times and what I love is the wide variety of food (Italian, Indian, Asian, Burgers.you name it, they probably offer it!), and the generous portions! On my recent visit the restaurant and bar weren't overly full, so what was a little disappointing was waiting over an hour to get our food, which we were told was because the kitchen was trying to keep up with pickups for Skip the Dishes/UberEats. It was a Sunday night - Mother's Day, Leafs game on, so probably busier than usual for takeout. Would be great to have in-person diners prioritized over takeout.

Nice selection of brews. Awesome service in explaining the slight differences between similar beers. Will go back to have some onsite.

Went with friends for drinks and appetizers. My deep fried cauliflower was a shock. $10 for 7 tiny pieces. My partner's sesame chicken was so spicy her face was red after a few bites. Our waitress seemed to be by herself as it took forever to get our drinks, then food, then refill of water, but very fast bringing the bill. It was an underwhelming experience.

We went into order take out and waited over half an hour just for someone to come to the front of the place to give us a menu. Then was told to go to the bar and she would take our order. We waited there again for about another 20 minutes. The place was very busy and they only had 2 girls working. When we got our food home my son had to throw his out because he couldnt bite through it as it was burnt. We will go somewhere else next time

Love this location. With the lifting of restrictions it is a fantastic spot to go to for that long overdue date or to hang out with friends. Great service and tasty food

Every visit seems to have something wrong.

A small group and I were there for some drinks on a Saturday night. In our 4 hour visit we were only able to order 2-3 drinks. It was painful waiting for drinks to arrive or to be able to order. Not to mention appetizers took over an hour to get as well.

In a previous visit for a dinner we waited over an hour for our meal (medium busy night) and one of the burgers was burnt (not just "well done"). Almost to a crisp. Not sure how that even makes it to a plate to be honest. So after an hour of waiting for a burnt burger we had to wait again for it's replacement.

Overall the food and prices are good enough but every visit seems to have one problem or another between wait times and food quality.

Probably done going to this place other than a casual drink. Recommend trying the place but after a visit or two you will probably not want to go again.

The breakfast at Stones throw is a staple. We normally do Sunday brunch here, Service is great, prices are reasonable and food is good.

Lots of selection! Friendly staff, clean facility. Fries are excellent! I had the BBQ Chicken avocado sandwich and my date had the roast beef sandwich. Both were a little on the dry side or could have used a bit more sauce.

The menu drew me to this pub, however the service was very slow and the food was not quite good enough to justify a second visit. Everything seems to just slightly miss the mark. The dessert was severely undercooked and two other dishes were covered in so much cheese/oil that it was beginning to harden back into a brick of cheese. Perhaps the other items on the menu are better, but over all would not return. I will say the food was priced well.

Nice quaint local pub in a quiet strip mall. Good selection of beers and a huge menu. Service was excellent and prices were very reasonable. Had amazing fried pickles and very good wings.

It was a decent restaurant! There was a huge selection of good things on the menu so it was hard to pick a dish. I got the butternut squash ravioli which was tasty. My mom loved the wings but found the ribs tough, and my friend found the steak over cooked. Service was fast and the waitress was friendly! There were a lot of annoying flies at our table though which was another downside.

Loved going to this neighborhood restaurant. Have to wait along time for the food but when it came it was good. Will continue to visit.

Large portions and good food. My only complaint, was the coleslaw was swimming in far too much dressing.

Good food with large selection. Servers are wonderful even though they are run ragged. Salmon was grilled properly and very tasty.

Came here for the first time as a recommendation from a friend. Website says they are open until 12. We got here at 10: 30 and our server Jen advised it was last call. No problem. We ordered a drink and asked for our bill but called around to find a place open later. Jen came storming over to say she just heard us call this bar and ask what time they are open and to state last call was when she said it was (we had actually called St Louis). Our server Jen was extremely rude and we will not be back

Amazing chicken pot pie and kids menu. We spent under $60 to feed our family of four, so price is great too.

Came here for dinner to avoid weekend traffic. We usually don't get Asian food at pubs but the chicken curry Yorkshire is amazing. The curry was spot on. If you love south East Asian curry, this is it.

I got the fish tacos.they were mediocre at best.the wings my husband got were pretty good. Don't really know if we will be back. But it wasn't horrible

You gotta be someone who loves real food and not fast food, this place is delicious and very home made in their cooking way. I love going and I am extremely picky. Ribs n wings are the main mmm.

My family orders from here at least once a month, food is always amazing and service is fantastic. It’s a family favourite.

It’s a shame to write this honestly because the hard working waiters and waitresses are AMAZING. But they are not treated nicely by someone who I am assuming is a manager (or god forbid the owner!). I was appalled by the way this person treated their staff. I even witnessed him yelling at a delivery driver! Unacceptable. Won’t be returning until he has been dealt with.

Me and my boyfriend absolutely love it here! The daily specials are great and the food always tastes so good! Prices are fantastic and staff is very friendly and ontop of everything. Really like the safety measures that they have put in place for dine in options. We sometimes also do takeout and its just as delicious!

Great little local spot. They were extremely short staffed when we were there but they tried their best and apologized frequently. Extensive menu with some great pricing. Beverage selection also good.
Was nice to support a local place and get out and see people. Precautions were maintained there also for CV

Was there Oct 26th for lunch. There was several people at the bar and seven to eight tables of people. There was only one amazing server, Meagan.
She ran around doing everything while the kitchen kept ringing the bell. Finally he came out to help deliver food to tables.
Of course by the time the manager came in and another waitress things had calmed down a bit. We told him how hard she was working but not sure he cared.
I understand that business might be slower but to work under those conditions is not good for anyone. Good job Meagan and no I do not know her.

Great staff, and though I haven't had everything on the menu, what I have had always hits the spot

My friends and I frequent this place a lot! The service is usually fantastic. However, I was there a few days ago for dinner service. The food was good, as it always is. As my friends and I were catching up, we couldn't help but notice one of the managers giving one of the waitresses trouble. We tried to mind our business as this was happening, but the waitress was being SCREAMED at by the manager over what sounded like $10. $10? Are you serious? 10 DOLLARS. I found the manager's actions were absolutely DISGUSTING. People in customer service are risking their health during this COVID-19 pandemic to be screamed at over $10? That's deplorable, and 100% UNACCEPTABLE! It's going to be a long time before I come back to this establishment after what I witnessed. I hope that waitress is okay. I didn't get her name as she wasn't serving us.

Oh my gosh. I am ordering your carbonara dish on Skip The Dishes almost 3x a week. It's AMAZING. Real bacon, perfect chicken pieces, flavorful sauce.also, best garlic bread in town in my opinion. Huge fan.

Good atmosphere. Good wings and prices. The pitcher and 2 lbs is great. Highly recommend visiting.

A great lunch of Lousiana Shrimp Penne, with salad, and bread- very tasty, loaded with chicken, and the shrimps were delicious. Our waitress was extraordinary.coping with 20 of us and individual tabs!

Food is great! The bar is cozy and inviting. But because their is no patio I find myself going out of my way to different pubs with a patio. Also, the last time we went the band was so bad we left and went somewhere else because of it.

This is an awesome pub! We stumbled upon it, looking for a pub close to the movie theater. We loved it. I had the chicken curry, which had a pleasant level of a rich spiciness. My partner had the Thai stir fry. Both were absolutely delicious! And I had a few pints of my favourite Irish ale - Smithwick's. And there is a great selection of all kinds of other beer. The service is very good. And the prices are surprisingly reasonable. A great experience.

Service is very friendly. However, food is just OK. Not bad, not good. Just food. No real desire to come back again.

Monday was half price appetizers, the food was absolutely amazing! We ordered a curried chicken poutine and an order of sweet chilli chicken.

I had a Beautiful Bartender named Tabitha,
serving me. She was quick pleasant and was just great overall! Prices are great too, as Domestic Pints are only $4.50 before 6pm! Definitely recommend to anyone!

AVOID this place on Thursdays at ALL COSTS! Management here must be completely delusional if they think Karaoke Thursday’s is a success and drawing in any sort of business at all. I have seen first hand, customers leaving the building, and complaining about the karaoke “entertainment”. Karaoke is supposed to end at midnight as I have been told by one of the bartenders but it always goes well past. The restaurant is left with 4 tone deaf singers and a karaoke host whose ego barely fits in the door. It’s too bad because, the food is pretty good and the waitresses are amazing. Lose the karaoke. It’s NOT popular in Bowmanville.

Great place but the live music and karaoke is terrible, it's a pub dont try and fix something that isnt broken, other than that food and service is great

Very tasty meal and the service was great. Food portion was surprisingly awesome! Feel like going more often with family.

This was my second visit, brought kids, they enjoyed the atmosphere and food. The staff and the owner were very nice and friendly.
Keep up your good work and love to visit more often.

My husband and I visit this location once and a while for great food, but when we do, although it’s usually very busy, we are always welcomed with smiling faces and good service. The owner is always so friendly and very helpful to his staff.

Problem is the bat area looks a bit old but the windows area is so new giving a fake feeling to the entire place!

Love the Stone's Throw. It's in my neighbourhood and we visit often and I always have the wings which up in till now I said were the best wings around.
Last night we ordered from A Stone's Throw through Skip the Dishes. I've done this before and had the same good food as when I visit. Last night I ordered the wings and they were so overcooked that I couldn't eat them. The meat was very dry and I was very disappointed as I was hardly able to return them. If I'd been in the restaurant I would have sent them back to the kitchen but at home not much to be done about it.
I hope that it isn't an indicator of this great pub starting to go downhill in food quality and was just an isolated incident but I probably won't order from them online again.

Had the steak and lobster tail. That part was delicious but the baked potato and vegetables were cold and not cooked all the way through. The waiter Ryan was great, tried to get me a discount but all management gave me was $2.26 off the bill. 50/50 as to whether I would go there again.
