I bought some snacks from the store and I was in hurry at that time. Most of there items were expired since two months. This is so wrong to give expired things in store, even they shouldn’t put expired things in store. It was really really bad experience for me.

You might find everything there but it's way too costly as compared to other stores. It's literally double priced!

Pros: Store is always filled with stuff. We will eventually find what we are looking for.

Cons: Can't rely heavily on all stuff. Many stuff will be outdated by the time you consume. By that, I simply mean that flavour, essence, and anything that is attached to the product may have been vanished by the time we buy and consume it. Probably because they have it on the shelf for so long, or the product is eventually almost about closer to the end of its shelf life. Try to stick to some specific items only which you can't find in other stores (it will help you to find cheaper price point in other store, and find a latest shelf life product in the other store if it's a regular selling product in the Canadian Departmental store)

Price: 6/10
Availability: 9/10
Product Quality: 6.5/10

Considering the shortage of Indian items in Barrie, this store carries what you need on a regular basis. They can certainly improve in the fresh veggies department but overall has everything that is needed in an Indian kitchen! It's my go to store for items plus the staff is pretty courteous and friendly!

There is parking in the strip mall where they are. Little congested with even aisles filled with Indian grocery. They have small selection of vegetables and good amount of frozen goods and namkeen.

I regret to inform you that I got fraud from store. I went to buy cream and store employee gave me cream box and the cream inside the box was different. As soon as I aware about the thing I went to store again that time the employee gave a particular cream without box from under counter. So is way to run and sell the things in store. It was misleading by store and employee. Hope other things should be as it is as shown in store

I recently visited a specialty Indian grocery store in my area, and while it catered to my specific needs for Indian ingredients, I found the prices to be on the higher side. Here's my review of the store:

First and foremost, I appreciate the fact that this store focuses on providing a wide range of Indian groceries and ingredients. As someone who enjoys cooking Indian cuisine, it was convenient to find a dedicated store that carried a comprehensive selection of spices, lentils, grains, and other specialty items. The store had a good variety of brands and options, making it a reliable source for authentic Indian products.

However, one major drawback of this store was its pricing. Compared to other general grocery stores or even other Indian specialty stores in the area, the prices at this store were noticeably higher. While I understand that specialty stores often have higher costs associated with sourcing specific products, the marked difference in prices made it difficult to justify shopping there regularly, especially for everyday grocery needs.

Additionally, I found that some items were priced disproportionately higher than others. While certain staple products had reasonable prices, others seemed excessively expensive. This inconsistency in pricing further contributed to the overall perception of the store as being expensive.

Despite the higher prices, I cannot overlook the quality and freshness of the products. The store seemed to prioritize offering high-quality ingredients, and the items I purchased were fresh and met my expectations. The staff members were also knowledgeable about the products and were able to provide helpful suggestions and recommendations.

In terms of the store's layout and organization, it was relatively well-maintained and clean. The aisles were clearly labeled, making it easier to navigate and find specific items. The staff members were generally friendly and approachable, willing to assist when needed.

Please note that this review is based on my personal experience, and individual opinions may vary.

Worst place ever to eat samosas. Today, I got 3 pieces of Samosas and it was smelling so bad and the potatoes stuffing was so sticky and disgusted. Try to think about people’s health as well not just the profit.
Giving 3 stale samosas won’t make you rich or profit more.

Nice Indian grocery store. Helpful staff. Great tea selections are not seen in any other Barrie stores that im aware of, especially if you like strong black (propper) tea. Can't wait to try the one I found.

I would have have -5 rating to this store Worst store. Store owner and his wife doesn’t have a bit sense to talk with the customers so rude. Just taking advantage of students because they have 0 competition.

Visiting this place every month, they have good variety of spices, frozen food, snacks and many more.
Store needs expansion as they have wide range of stock.

They are very expensive and sometimes give stale food. I got a dabeli having fungus on it. It is not ideal to take anything frozen from here. Very disappointing service.

This store is small but packs potential. It is full of stuff (literally) which I found very hard to navigate through and find what I wanted. But it definitely carries a good collection of Indian stuff and one of the best in the Barrie area.

Found my favorite Indian snacks at this store. Can't be happier. Pretti is very helpful and she even remembered the snacks I love. I was so impressed.
Alex served me several times at the cash and he always remembers to inquire about my family. Such wonderful people and a great selection of foods and snacks. Will continue to support this local business. Thank you.

Great selection and prices, so many spices and Indian imports that can be hard to find in Barrie. I can't leave without buying a samosa, they're so good

Great selection but really cramped together & quite pricy for some items, especially when No Frills sells the same item cheaper! Veggies are not really fresh - especially on a Saturday. The lady who works is very friendly, the older man cannot even say “you’re welcome. ” Not sure if it was just the batch today, because they don’t seem fresh at all, but I bought 4 samosas and they are terrible. Very dry and really lacking any flavour. They’re not expensive, so that’s not an issue but Desilicious makes the best samosas in Barrie - I’ve tried them all and they give you a free dipping sauce with them! The guy who works behind the kitchen counter is very welcoming & friendly. Front of store staff should be the same.

It is a good spot to open a indian grocery store. Lots of student and indian community available. This store is good for indian stuffs which are not available in fresco, since fresco is much cheaper. I like how they have fast foods like alloo paties etc.
