Great customer service, great staff, we've been buying cameras from Aartech for the last couple years and it's always easy and wonderful, even dealing with returns and warranties was seamless, very impressed!

Always good service from them, even with RMA the service is really fast! I stopped buying from the other online company since I started buying with Aartech. Their prices are the best and the after sale service is much better from the other company.

The absolute best place for home automation and security gear. Shipping is fast, customer service is great and I love that they're local.

Had a major problem with a Hikvision NVR system we had purchased at Aartech a year ago. Michael at Aartech was able to guide me through the steps with Hikvision to get the HDD replaced. He understood the problem, explained how to troubleshoot, all with a lot of patience for a non-techie customer. Would definitely recommend Aartech for their prices, service, and follow-up.

Prior to purchasing AARTech assured me the expiry date of the smoke detectors would be current. Upon receipt of the smoke detectors in 2023 the 3 First Alert smoke detectors were dated Aug 2019. So, 40% of their life is gone.
Buyer beware when buying dated equipment from AARTech.

Edit 1: In reply to the AARTech's, thank you for the reply. I suggest the warehouse look at their stock of First Alert SA3210A smoke detectors.
Edit 2: Increasing my review to 3 stars as AARTech provided excellent service and replaced all 3 First Alert smoke detectors. Unfortunately, First Alert sent AARTech old stock again of the SA3210A. The 3 new ones were dated Aug 2019, but that is not evident until the smoke detector is unpacked.

Ordered with some trepidation as our original builder found "smart" ways of cutting costs and so after 15 years we were concerned if we would find compatible products, and, if we could, they would require modifications.

Arrived a day or two earlier than expected. It was a direct match for the product it replaced, which saved having to repaint the wall.

It installed quickly and I've already forgotten we had a problem with the original CO detector. That's what I call customer delight!

First time not last time. Great online service and rapid follow up. Delivery was quick. Will buy more from their web site.

I received the item but haven't programmed it yet to my security system because it's very complicated. I will try today.

The website was very user friendly, and I was kept informed of the status of my order as it was processed and shipped.

Smoke Alarms arrived on time and in good condition. What else can I say? Will have to wait for a big fire to know for sure if they work.

Heavy duty surface mount contacts arrived in reasonable time, quality material used and ordering them was easy on the website.

Ordering process was very good, unfortunately the product i ordered, hubitat C7 hub is defective and am unable to get warranty honored from manufacturer but Service and support from Aartech is excellent and very helpful.

Always excellent service with prompt and rapid delivery. I have been dealing with Aartech for well over 10 years without any issue and would recommend them without hesitation.

I am so thankful that I found this place online when looking for Leviton screwless wall plates. The savings was significant and the shipping was overnight. I ordered 47 1-gang, 6 2-gang and 3 3-gang wall plates for a total of $131.55 tax incl. Had I bought these at Home Depot the cost would've been $349.73 which is a savings of $218.17 for my home project. Going forward I'm always going to consider AARtech for my outlets and Ring products.

I purchased a CO detector. It was defective. They would not give me a refund. They insisted I pay shipping back, after which they “might” replace it. I had already paid for an alarm installer to replace it as I could not figure out why it would not work. It was the alarm installer who discovered it was defective, a known problem. I don’t need a replacement, I need a refund. Would never buy again.

I've had multiple orders from these guys, and it's always been a good experience. Prices are competitive, sometimes can find stuff I can't find elsewhere.

Furthermore, I've had a few times I've modified orders or needed support and it's been prompt and professional. Gets my recommendation.

I purchased a few light switches from AARtech to test them out before installing many of them across my home. I bought them on sale, planning to continue my research during my refund window. Due to some personal situations that came up I was unable to spend the time I had planned to research the switches. I reached out to AARtech informing them what happened and asked if they could be flexible with their return policy. They responded quickly and offered me a solution that more than adequately addressed my concerns, even though they had no obligation to. I don't expect to need to return these items, but it gives me a lot of comfort to know this company is willing to work with it's customers.
My order came in three days. One item was on backorder, and they notified me immediately. It came back in stock when they said it would, and that was also shipped free of charge when it was available. I will be using this store again in the future.

I placed an order with them on what looked like a secure browser, but then I got a sketchy email from “Aartech” (no other identifying info) saying that they will not ship to a different address than what my credit card is associated with. However, they said they will ship to any address if I send an e-transfer or wire transfer. VERY strange. Beware. I will be keeping a close eye on my credit card.

Had some pre-purchase questions, they were answered quickly. They also did a small price match with another online seller. Items arrived quickly, all work perfectly.

I like how the website is structured and how each item have a detailed description, makes everything easier. They ship fast, will buy again from them.

Great Tech Support. I ordered a DSC 1832 Alarm system requiring a 2 partition setup and an EVL-4 internet self monitoring module. The installation involved some complicated installation programing and troubleshooting. Mike K at Aartech provided me with some fantastic hands-on help and advice getting the system up and running. System works great. Thanks Mike K!

I have struggled with the hardware and software for their recommended products, and should have done a more structured approach with a larger well established brand than the ones they market. I listened to their advice to build my "smart" home and have now wasted hours when I finally found Youtube to be more helpful. However their resources are good for a starting place. Ridiculous in this day and age defective goods have to be shipped back at buyer's expense.

I have to say, it is very rare that I feel compelled to drop an unsolicited note of thanks and praise to a company. I recently bought a Vosker V100 Camera from you and was a little lost on setting it up. I called your support line and was walked through the setup without a hitch. Excellent job!
I am sure due to my lack of technical know-how that I will have to use the support line again, so please don't adjust any of your staff they are simply top notch!

Was really disappointed with the support offered. Kept sending up the manual PDF as if we didn't have that already.

Ordered two outdoor WiFi plugs from Aartech. Units arrived on time. However one of them was an open box with visible damage (scratches). I was not concerned about the scratches so I tried to configure and use them both. The new unit worked well, however the open box unit was defective and could not be configured. Called their customer support and after looking into it the rep said, it was our warehouse mistake and they should have not shipped you an open box item. She said we will replace your defective unit immediately. Then transferred me to RMA department where I was asked to fill out a form. Did that and talked to RMA person (John) and he promised they will send me the replacement same day. Almost week (6 days) has passed by and no shipping confirmation and no updates. Will never go back to them and do not recommend them. They have good prices but very poor service and order fulfillment.

I was looking around for a particular brand of security system for my son’s new home which he wanted. Came across this Company’s sales on the Internet. Long story short, bought it but it was the wrong kit. The service I received on how to return and purchase the right kit is excellent. I would recommend this Company if you really need anything from them. Thank you.

I've ordered on-line from Aartech 4 or 5 times in the last couple of years; the process has been flawless - and twice, after placing an order, I needed to call and make a change; the changes have always been done professionally, accurately, and immediately. I've been so impressed with this company, I just decided to write a review and was shocked to see a couple negative ones; they are always so professional and courteous when I speak to them. Love the products, love the service!

I ordered 700$ of items that some were in stock and some were shipping in 3 days. After 2 weeks of waiting for a tracking number, I called wondering what was going on. They then told me the items that were supposed to be shipped in 3 days weren't available at the moment and that it was the suppliers fault. I understand that and said that I will be waiting. Unfortunately when I called a second time after 2 months of waiting and losing a client I decide to call back to be told that one 20$ item wasn't available still and that they were waiting for that item to ship my entire order. After losing it I talked to a manager and they shipped only half!? !? My order. Then a month after, I received the rest. Needless to say I will never ever buy from these people again.

I almost forgot that the black Friday special 5% never applied and they only refunded me after the second time I called.

You guys need to get a better credit card processor in place. Literally everytime we order it's a nightmare of cancellations and ridiculous address specifications. It's a shame because everything else is great. You would think after this many bad reviews about this known issue you would fix it. Like who is the CEO? Hi! Please be a normal company and dont flag every order as fraudulent. Who is even defrauding you for home automation sensors? Crazy.

Great prices, VERY fast shipping, easy to navigate website and they take Paypal. Four purchases over the last year and every single time they've exceeded my expectations! Couldn't recommend them more.

My husband, David, recently purchased from AARtech some sensors for our wireless home security system. The AARtech technical staff were very helpful in identifying the correct sensors and had them sent out. Scott, from the technical department did an exceptional job remotely reprogramming the system via a telephone conversation. First Class! Much appreciated.

In today's age of online shopping a zero customer service, Aartech stands out from everyone. As a DIY installer, I wanted an alarm panel that was professional quality, able to integrate into Alexa, my home automation and web enabled. Scott took the time to walk me through the decison making process and guide me to the best purchase. They also programmed the alarm panel so all I had to do was transfer over the wiring from my old panel. Their telephone support is fantastic when you get into a jam, I even went back and bought another wireless motion sensor and it couldnt be easier to add the sensor! Both my DSC alamr panel and Hikvision camera setup have worked flawless!

I have placed online orders with them many times over the last 8 years and I have always had a positive experience.

Good selection of home electronics including hard to find parts for alarm systems. I got good product support over the phone, ordered online, and received the DSC Smoke Detector in the mail a few days later.

Fantastic experience. I ordered two BRK3120BA dual technology sensor (photoelectric and ionization in one unit) 120V hardwired with battery backup smoke detectors to replace the 10+year old detectors in my home. Very few places in Canada carry the dual sensor but AARtech does (homeowners should look into this because standard ionization detectors aren't good for certain types of fires). Price was very reasonable at ~$35 per unit and shipping was prompt. Best part of the experience is that I later realized that I forgot to order a third detector for my basement, and asked AarTech if they could send it with free shipping because of my error, and they did! That was a real long shot because it was totally my fault. I would order from them again, and have told family and friends about my experience, and that they should look at new smoke detectors if they are in older homes. The only way this business could be better in my opinion is if they opened a brick and mortar location in Edmonton
