The experience here was wonderful the burger was delicious and the fries even more so! The atmosphere is very upbeat while still not being too loud perfect for any outings with friends. I will definitely have to come back!

Overall good bang for your buck but the service was a little slow. Took over an hour for lunch, however we were with a group of 15 so I understand but we called in advance and the kitchen didnt seem prepared to handle the volume.

No hard feelings, food was great and im sure it was not usual in terms of speed of service.

Give Abe Erb a try!

Had a great meal on the patio. Had the Cuban sandwich. It was delicious. The French fries were homemade and also delicious. Very friendly service.

We’ve been driving by and wanting to try it and so glad we did. The food was awesome and the ambience is great. Fantastic live music by Chalkline every Thursday night.

Food was good, came fast and warm. Service was just okay, the waiter we had took our order and then never came back to the table. Other waitresses delivered our food, and we had to get the attention of another waitress to get our bill after half an hour of waiting for someone to come to the table.

Waited 5 mins to be seated at the counter.
Waited 30-45 mins for food after. Food was good though.

Went to Abe Erb Brewing Company (Kitchener location) for lunch today with my husband. Our first time at this location.

Let me start by saying the restaurant was very nice. The atmosphere is very casual and downtown “ish”. It reminded me of the restaurants I used to visit when I lived in Toronto. I liked the atmosphere from the second I walked in to Abe Erb.

Next, I need to say that our server Doug was awesome. He is a super friendly person. Very pleasant to talk to and very attentive. He made my drinks (I am not a beer drinker) exactly the way I asked him to make them. My husband told him what kind of beer he was looking to try and Doug recommended something that my husband really enjoyed. Thank you Doug for the amazing service!

On to the food, I had the surf and turf tacos. All I can say is best tacos ever! They were absolutely delicious! I could have eaten a dozen of them they were that good. My husband had the Northern Abe with truffle parm fries. He enjoyed every bite his meal.

Will I go back to Abe Erb again? Absolutely, may be again even tomorrow.

I highly recommend Abe Erb Brewing Company. And if you get Doug as your server it’s just and added bonus for you!

Great environment, and a nice lineup of craft beers. It was “Trivia Night” when I went, and the place was hopping! Great burger too, and somehow it was only ten bucks?
I’m going back for sure.

This place has the worst food I have ever tasted. I had to spit the bruschetta in the napkin it was repulsive. The waiter was rude and really didn’t care.
Had to pay for food that we didn’t even eat.

Great place. The service was good and they played really great music! I paid extra to have poutine as a side and it was delicious - well worth it!

I absolutely love this place, the staff are friendly and helpful, the food is incredible and the beer. Wow. The 1857 Kolsch is crisp and refreshing and goes down really easy. The menu is not static and items switch out from time to time. Amazing comfort foods, chicken and waffles, schnitzel, Mac and cheese as well as salads, fish, soups and burgers.

Post Covid, loving these guys! Great food, beer to go. Perfect picnic lunches two wknds in a row. I show up with my baby in the car and feel totally safe and accommodated to get a beautiful meal to go. Thx guys

Took the family here on Sunday and we all had a great time. The beer was good, the food was yummy, the server was very friendly and the kids had fun playing some games while waiting. Bonus: Kids Eat Free Sun and Mon. (one per adult meal ordered). We will be back.

Best nachos on town! Loved their Loop beer (peach and raspberry). It was not too sweet at all, lovely sour taste.
Used to love a porter they had called ‘slow burn’. I don’t think they have that anymore but that used to be my go to drink.

Had their poutine a while back and it was okay. Fries were hand-cut, over cooked and dry (even with gravy). We got some take-out last night thinking it would be better. Had two orders of burgers and they were both burnt and dry. The fries that came with the burger are hand-cut but over cooked and dry. The order of fish tacos looked nice but was soggy from cabbage juice, and the fish was burnt as well. The grill residue gave off a weird smell and made the fish bitter. I heard beer is okay but the food was subpar for the prices they are charging.

I so very much enjoyed it both my date and i finished everything. I will be going back. Great place for a meal.

Had a chance to hang out on the upstairs floor for a wedding rehearsal dinner. We enjoyed the atmosphere, taste of the beer and food. The staff was friendly and responsive but we did have some issues with getting all of the food that was ordered. Overall it was worth the visit and I would visit again

Had the chicken and waffles here last night. It was a great meal! I only wish the chicken to waffle ratio was more even.

Decent beer, not great food - Tofu Po Boy was a Sad Boy (have had it several times and getting worse each time). So, bye boy?

Great product, great food, Usually great service too.

I really don't like that they have switched to 16 oz pours as their largest size and are openly calling this a 'pint'. A Pint is 20 oz. You are pouring a small beer for a full beer price.

Have yet to try the food, however their award winning selection of craft brews keeps me coming back. Beer fridge is constantly updating, growlers are usually available.

A bit pricey but hey, it's craft beer, it's all expensive.

Great beer menu. We had the spicy wings and they were, to die for. Perfect level of spice if you like spicy food. Not too much, not to the point that you cannot enjoy the flavor but not something bland or just salty in the name of hot. They have a beautiful patio area where you can relax with your dog if you have one. The staff were very kind and friendly to us and our four legged friend. They got him a bowl of water to calm him down and gave us a corner table so he had his space as well.

Went with a group of 8. Service was slow. Beers were good. Had a flight of 4. Had the Tuna bowl, which was very tasty. The small garden salad (extra to the tuna bowl) was not mixed properly so all the dressing was at the bottom of the bowl. There was no choice of dressings provided. Overall it was a peasant experience, and I'd probably come back again.

Food is fresh, tasty. Had albacore tuna salad, and charcuterie. Enjoyed the patio- inside seemed a little dark and noisy. Drinks are good of course, and the service was helpful. Had a good time here, would like to come back again to try more dishes to confirm this rating.

Good beer, fair food. I didn’t like the service though.

One of the things that upset me the most was the fact that I asked for the brownie affogato and the waitress didn’t advised me that they didn’t have ice cream (even though it was in the menu). Instead, she told me that they didn’t sell it with ice cream anymore and that was that.

Always a great place to go. Foods outstanding service good and the drafts they have are unreal, 5 stars for sure. Patio for what it is even is great as well. So all around fantastic. Highly recommended

Decent beer (I liked two out of seven) but really poor service. Waitstaff are sitting around a table and talking to each other instead of being attentive to their tables. One of the bartenders spilled salad dressing on the floor and it splashed on me and he didnt even apologize just told one of the waitresses to clean it up. But sick plaid shirt bro, you look real cool delegating tasks to your subordinates.

A lot of brewpubs either have good food or good beer, Abe Erb is one of the few that has both. The tofu po' boy is probably in the top 5 of my favourite sandwiches of all time.

Do not come here if you are a craft beer connoisseur. If you just want to buy beer to take home you're better off going to a real brewery rather than a hipster restaurant try to pass off as a brewery.

Great time overall. Great food, great atmosphere. Our server (Nickole) was wonderful and very fun. Drinks are fantastic too. Keep it up! Also amazing to see a place such as this which offered cider as an option, let alone ciders which were stronger than most of their beers!

One of my favourite places for dinner and drinks in KW. The beer is always awesome, and the food is pretty good. I would appreciate more vegetarian options though, there's only a few choices.

The beer was good, but the service was terrible. 5 staff gossiping and drinking coffee beside our table while our flights sat on the counter? ! Big yikes. I've been coming here for years and sadly I dont think I'll be returning due to this service. PS play something other than country music.

It's nice place, especially if you want to enjoy glass of beer. Chicken wings also really good. Only one thing which wasn't good is loud music, I understand it's because of table I take, but still. I recommend to visit it.

Loved the raviolli with brown butter the night we were there they had live music enjoed that as well

Edit: the service has really gone downhill here. Pretty good beer, good food, and pretty good service. It's a bit expensive for what you get but it is a super cool venue.

Not a big place but has great beer an good food. Down fall is that it closes earlier than I had expected.

The salads we had for lunch were fantastic, two different "bowls" each was so delicious. However the service was quite slow. Even though the server forgot part of a meal, and took it off the bill, there was no apology for it. He did bring the item to table, after I said I didn't want it anymore, and said "well you can take it with you or leave it, but it's ready and off the bill". Ummm ok.

I had one of the most flavourful burgers at Abe Erb. A mix of the candied bacon and the aïoli was just amazing.

We made reservations here for a large group and they were able to accommodate us. There's a good range of food available at a price point in line with any bar/pub style establishment in the area. The parking lot is a bit small for the plaza, but we didn't have trouble finding a spot. If you're visiting at peak times, plan for the possibility of needing alternative parking. The atmosphere inside is laid back with an interesting open concept design.

Food was good, atmosphere was good, beer was good, service was pretty bad. The waitress we had forgot about us like 3 times.

I hate to give 3 stars because the service was fantastic, but I paid 21$ for a charcuterie board and it was embarrassing. It looked like a Jackson pollock painting how they just threw everything on it and what was on it didn't go together at all. Just don't order that. My meatloaf was bland but my boyfriend loved it and his mac and cheese. I wish I tried the burger instead, I hear they are amazing.

Really nice, relaxing environment inside this two-floor micro brewpub. Big menu with lots of food. All staff are very pleasant, including the manager who isn't the type of guy only to be found talking/in the back office or something. Half the time I visit to purchase some beers from the bottle shop, he's the one ringing me through.
Beers are all great, the ones available in the LCBO are easily their "starter" beers. You have to visit the actual place to get the full experience of Abe Erb's brews. Definitely a fan favourite of the KW area and beyond.

Great pub food, good beer. Nothing amazing but a lot of good beers brewed in house with something for everyone's taste. Gets very busy around lunch

Pretty decent place with killer mac and cheese. Rotating beer menu and apparently trivia night when we went. Could use some more/better seating but otherwise a great place l.

The beer is terrific, however have been out of their transatlantic for about 1 month now. The chicken schnitzel was over cooked and the fries had more salt than my driveway. Forget going to Lowe's to find salt anywhere in Kitchener. Go to Abe Erb and get ten orders of fries. That'll clear your ice problem!
