The large pizza with thin dough is very delicious! Despite many visitors, the pizza was made in 20 mins and was eaten by two hungry humans in the next 20 mins. Thank you for the quality and service! Waiting for the opening of dine-in!
My husband and I love this place. We drive from Barrie to take food home. I love their gnocchi and eggplant parm. Order 2 eggplant so I can freeze one. My husband loves their sandwiches. Pizza is also very good. Too bad the restaurant hasn't opened yet.
These guys know what they are doing! This is how you make pizza. WOW! Fantastic. I ordered 5 party size pizzas and every one of them was perfect. Thanks to the people at Abruzzos
Was a great place to have pizza. Very authentic and delicious, I was a regular there specially since I was leaving around the corner. But recently something has changed in their restaurant and the taste and the quality of their food degraded significantly. Still decent enough to get a 3 out of 5.
Many people I have talked to really like this takeout/delivery pizza and other Italian dish restaurant. It was very highly recommended. I have only sampled a takeout slice. I found the cheese bread and sauce to be high quality. But the pepperoni was kind of lacking in amount.
Been going here since I was a kid and it is the best pizza and panzorotti in the city. Highly recommend getting an order of their tomato sauce to dip both in.
Tasteless pizza and rude staff. I asked the staff use the washroom they didn’t let me use while other customers coming out of washroom. I told him i am a customer too but he didn’t even listen. Plus even Pizza Pizza is better than their pizza. NOT RECOMMENDED!
Seriously changed my life. So gooooood. Crust was CRISPY! We ordered well done which we highly recommend. Couldn’t take pictures because we ate it too fast! Best pizza ever!
I’m truly baffled at the ratings of this place. I’m not a pizza expert but how can tasteless pizza be worth 5 stars? ! I don’t get it. Go to dominos down the street… it’s hands down better
Best place to get Pizza in Thornhill/Richmond Hill. My love affair started when I was young. I think Abruzzo won the contract for Pizza Day at my elementary school JVPS, and it was a smashing success. Like all children of a certain generation I love Pizza and have eaten it all over the world. But in my humble opinion, nothing compares to Abruzzo. A simple pepperoni pizza with meat sauce does the trick, but if you are willing try the hot soppressata. You will not be disappointed. I've moved out of the area, but every time I'm close (and its after 3pm grrr) I will pop in for some take away.
Great local spot for pizza and a veal. A go to for my family party’s and football Sunday’s with friends. Great take out and always good for a slice. Would recommend if you are looking for good Italian take out or delivery in Vaughan!
High high quality, nice service, complete menu and still prices are sooo competitive compared to junk pizzas like Domino's, pizza pizza. LOVE this place
I've passed by this place countless times, never giving it much thought. I've finally decided to give it a try. Wow, don't judge a book by it's cover. I was impressed with how tasty everything was; I order a large pizza and a stuffed panzerotti.
I've been coming here for years, I am surprised I didn't review the beautiful establishment earlier, the restaurant experience (from before covid) was absolutely amazing, a cozy environment bustling with friendly faces, great service and exceptional food. Even now, during this pandemic the takeout is absolutely amazing, everything from the restaurants menu is on the takeout one allowing for a large variety of amazing dishes to be ordered. If I haven't stressed it enough, the food here is incredible, injected to the brim with mouth watering flavor. The pizza, pasta, panzo's, meat dishes and everything else I've tried is absolutely one of the best Italian places in Canada, if not the best! Keep it up guys!
Anyone who has never eaten a pizza from Abruzzo, wow best, and I say best pizza I have ever had. Never judge a price always the quality. Thank you for an amazing experience!
They used to offer good service. One thing i dont like they charge you 16 dollar for medium pizza and each topping is extra close to 3 dollar a topping and some topping are double for example Italian sausage is 6 dollar. By the time you add few toppings you realize you paid double the price of other pizza places.
A staple for quality Italian food in the GTA. I’ve been a loyal customer for over 20 years. I went to Abruzzo last weekend after a while ordered Gnocchi and a Panzo, as always they did not disappoint.
Their Panzo’s are the beat I’ve ever had and the Gnocchi is!
If your looking for real Italian food this is the spot!
Very accurate order on the phone. I called 5 minutes before they opened and they answered. Got there at the time they told me to 20 minutes later perhaps a bit earlier and ate almost all of the pie in the car. One bite everyone knows the rules, it had good undercarriage, the crust was crisp, a little greasy, cheese was ok. Good pizza 7.8 that's the review. The parking lot is a little small and a bit hard to get to as it's on Yonge street so had to make 3 right turns to get to it. The entrance is a little confusing but just choose the RIGHT door and that's the one for customers to order and pickup. Cheers!
This is the first place I’ve ever tried a panzerotto and I’m so glad it was, although it sets the standard high anywhere else I have one. The portion was huge and their tomato sauce was delicious. I haven’t tried their pizzas yet but would recommend this place even just for their panzerotto.
I know they've been in business for a long time, but their pizza is way over priced and inferior to everyday place pizza shops like pizza Nova etc.their pizza sauce was lacking taste, dough was just ok.they priced their pizza like a dine in gourmet pizza restaurants, but the quality is not there.
Well after hearing good things about them we decided to give them a try. Sorry we did, we ordered for delivery and were told it would be about an houra. After an hour and a half we called to see where our food was, they said it would be there any minute. My 7 year old was crying he was so hungry, we had to feed him something else. 15 minutes later food still had not arrived, we called again were told it would be another 5-10 minutes they said they were sorry but they got really busy but they didn't tell us that the first 2 times we called and they offered nothing but a lame excuse and apology. Finally after 2 hours our cold pizza, soggy salad and over priced like warm soup arrived. Needless to say we will NEVER order from there again!
We eat at this restaurant every Friday and love it! The staff is friendly, we get seated quickly, and the service is fast. It is the most authentic Italian food around! It is also very clean.
Wow! So disgusted in the lack of customer service. Ordered a medium tray of lasagna for pick up on Thursday before Good Friday (as they advised me they would be closed all weekend). Not only did the lasagna not have cheese on top. I found a 3 inch black, thick hair in it. Upon going there and speaking with Alex (manager) this evening (Wednesday) he greeted me immediately with an attitude. He proceed to tell me they “dont put cheese on the top of the lasagna, only parmesan”. WAIT. WHAT!? SINCE WHEN? My lasagna had NO CHEESE ON TOP.not parmigiano.not mozzarella. I then proceeded to advise him of the hair. He asked “why did I not call them sooner? ” Not sure how that would have made a difference and remember I was told it was closed all weekend. Unfortunately, I walked out frustrated by Alex’s attitude. These things can happen in the restaurant business.but the lack of customer service shouldn’t happen nor is it ACCEPTABLE. So sad as I’ve been going to Abruzzo’s for at least 20 years for personal and business catering orders. The younger brothers are wonderful guys.always so friendly. I refuse to order or step foot into this establishment again.they obviously don’t care for.nor need my business.
HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE! -WAITED AN HOUR FOR OUR PICK UP ITEMS-THEYNEVER APOLOGIZED OR EVEN REALIZED THEY MISSED THE ORDER AND MESSED UP-RETURNED MY MONEY AND LEFT AFTER WAITING 5O MINUTES! I JUST WANTED TWO PANZAROTTI'S! SADLY I WILL NEVER RETURN AGAIN AND RETELL THIS EXPERIENCE TO EVERYONE I KNOW -TOO BAD THE FOOD IS GREAT-BUT I AM NOW GOING TO NONNAS OVEN-I ONLY HAVE TO WAIT 10 MINUTES PRE-ORDER!
Very ordinary - honestly don't know why it's so popular. Pasta wasn't very flavourful and was underseasoned. Every time I've had pizza it's been too dry. Nice people though.
I had the carbonara, and they really pulled it off. The menu is a little pricey in my opinion, but you definitely get more than your money's worth in portion.
We ordered a pasta dish in a rose sauce and a Caesar salad along with some garlic bread. The salad and pasta were completely tasteless. Nothing worst than digging into your dish and not tasting any spices. Absolutely awful. The garlic bread was too hard and lacked the necessary spices as well. I would never recommend This place, I’m so disappointed. Oh ya and the food was cold (we opted for delivery) the best thing about the meal was the coke we ordered
I've ordered many different things from Abruzzo and enjoyed all of it. My favourite is the Chicken Parm, any of their pizzas and Calamari. This is my go to place for Italian food in Richmond Hill.
Service here is quick and painless. The individuals behind the desk are always friendly and helping. If an employee that was not helping you see's you standing around, you will be asked if you've been helped. This can happen up to 2 or 3 times depending on how many employees see you. Goes to show how good the service is in some of these family owned business'.
The food is spectacular. Have had the pleasure of having a panzerotti and a few different types of pizzas. I have not been disapointed. Has become one of my favorite spots for pizza very quickly. I believe they may also have a sit-down restaurant, but ill allow someone from Abruzzo to correct me just incase. Ive seen the menu which looks quite well done with authentic Italian foods.
Overall phenomenal experience with friendly staff and amazing food.
Changing my 5 star review to a one star review. My family has been a patron of Abruzzo Pizza for many years. Our last dine in experience was disgusting. We ALWAYS order the large special salad. It arrived with almost no meat. We spoke with the waiter and he agreed. Tonight we ordered take out and it included the large special salad. When we ordered we specifically told them to make sure we are not short changed on the meat in the salad but SURPRISE SURPRISE. Just a few pieces of meat. If you are going to advertise this as your SPECIAL salad one would assume it would include the salami, ham and capicollo as it says on your menu. If you need to charge more money to serve what it is you advertise, then do so but don't offer this salad with the expectations of not delivering what is promised in the menu. BTW. Our call to the manager fell on deaf ears. DINERS BEWARE!
The pizza here are great because it's made fresh. I love how they offer pizzas that are made with potatoes and olive oil instead of cheese and pasta sauce. The pizza are relatively more expensive than domino or pizza Nova, which is why I have it 4 stars instead of 5.
My friend and I came here after hearing good reviews. The workers are disgustingly rude that I completely lost my appetite after ordering my food. For my first visit at this restaurant, I will not come back and will not recommend anyone to go. The fat arrogant server along with the other servers we spoke to were disrespectful and would not have spoken to us the way they did if we were white.
Time and time again disappointing all around. The only good thing is the panto. Other wise customer service sucks their pasta sucks and most of the time the pizza sucks. Our bill was just over 50 dollars so we gave the driver 100$ and he didnt have change he then got rude and we ended up with no food. Just horrible. I ordered pasta one time 2 different types both went in the garbage within 5 minutes.
This has got to be the best pizza in York Region. Consistently fantastic, I've been coming here for years. Never had a bad one. You've also got to try their salad - I don't like salads and this is incredible. The only problem: I never make it through their menu, because everything I have so good it's all I want next time I'm back.
