Acadia Art & Rare Books - Est 1931

This place is such a treasure. The artworks are beautiful and the owner will tell you about them in detail. The books are also amazing and very reasonable. The cats are wonderful. I will definitely be back on a regular basis.

They have an amazing ambiance and a stellar collection of books. The staff is also kind and helpful. They even let me browse a little longer after closing time. Would love to shop here again

Is it bad i only came to see the cats? Anyway i was happily surprised by the crazy collection of books and art prints! I think i’d love to come back and maybe pick up some prints… and hang with the cats again:)

CATS! This bookstore has two very sweet cats, the black one is named Frodo and the ginger was named Pippin (i think). Aside from the cats, they have such a cool collection of books and art it is definitely worth checking out

The cats are friendly, the owner is not. Very much a specialty shop, where if you’re looking for art books I’m sure it’s the best bookstore in Toronto, but otherwise it’s not worth it. It’s in a rough part of town, and I imagine a lot of people wouldn’t feel safe going there. Since I came all that way, I got one little book that I felt was overpriced, but I won’t be going again.

They’ve got some great prints here! Definitely worth even framing. Plus the resident shopkeeper was so fluffy
