DO NOT GO HERE, they do their best to take advantage of ppl and blatantly lie, tried saying my car needed way more work then it did for a safety, i didnt believe them took it to diff place who somehow can do everything for 600$, not the $1309 aces quoted me, ive also learned theyve done this before and were sucessfully sued because of it

A complete scam this place is. Avoid at all cost. Owner put wrong name and address on bill.charged for headlight alignment. They didn't own the machine at the time! BBB couldn't help because the receipt was not properly in my name or proper address! Yes shame on me for not reading the receipt provided for inaccurate name and address.

I've never bought a used car before. To be honest with you, I was quite worried. However, with Tony and the Ace's Auto Crew by your side, you could buy anything, and they'll make sure they make it reliable.

We have a fleet of trucks that we use to cut grass and run our business. We used to go to Mr. Lube for oil changes, but things seemed funny after the service. Ever since we've been going to Ace's, our trucks are running smoother than ever. I guess when you have someone who's actually passionate about their industry, you get results.

I had to go in because my truck was missing a gasket, and the exhaust had a Leak. It was rattling like absolute crazy. Tony and team were nice enough to bring me in on a busy Saturday, and fixed it in a very timely manner! The truck runs way better now, and you would never think its more than 10 years old.

After the snow storm the bottom plate under my car bent. I called Ace, to inquire about the repair. I spoke with Tony, on my initial call, who was super friendly and provided my with information. I decided to call back, because I needed to confirm some details on my end.
After calling back, I spoke with another gentleman (I didn't get his name), just as friendly and helpful. After reconfirming my inquiry, I was booked for the same day to complete the repairs! The repairs took all of 10 mins if that.
Seriously, when talk about overall great service. From start to finish.

We've been working with Tony for quite some time now, creating Graphics and Managing his online socials. He's a stand-up guy, straight to the point, and gets the job done. After two weeks of oil change, oil filter fell off somewhere when driving. Low Oil pressure lights came on, indicating low oil pressure. I had to take it to closest mechanic to save the engine. I never had this issue in last 10years with the oil changes. I do not recommend this place.

To owners response, I do not have patience or time to call and complain. I tired filling oil myself. It did not hold, I just wanted wanted to be fixed continue with my day. Thank you for your service!

Brought my vehicle to Aces Automotive for a starter issue in October of 2021. They replaced the starter at a cost of $690 with labour. A few weeks go by and the car isn’t starting again. So I called CAA and they diagnosed it was a starter issue. Shocked as I was I brought the car back to Aces Automotive. They called me back and said it’s not the starter it’s the battery and gave me a price on it. I declined the battery because I just installed a brand new battery from CAA. They explained that CAA batteries are garbage and I’ll need a new one from them. When I asked Tony what type of starter he installed he literally yelled at me “COME PICK UP THE CAR” and hung up. I picked up the car and brought it to another mechanic. He diagnosed it was the starter and went ahead and replaced it. He then showed me the poor quality starter that Aces installed as it had no name or any specs on it. He also explained that Aces failed to install a screw to hold the manifold as it was in a difficult position. He replaced that part for me and the car was running like a dream. We chose a quality brand new starter from NAPA parts which was priced equal to Aces refurbished starter that didn’t even last a month. I called Aces back and told them the situation and asked for a refund on the bad part. Tony was very reluctant and kept saying it’s the battery meanwhile the car was starting better than ever with the brand new starter installed. He said bring in his starter so he could try to send it back to his distribution centre so they could test it. I kept calling and calling and they kept giving me the runaround. I eventually gave up and they still have my part that I paid for.

I would not recommend Aces Automotive to anyone as they have proved to be unreliable and untrustworthy.

Always friendly and fast. Reasonable pricing. I've had to bring my truck back once since it seemed the issue wasn't resolved and they got it in quick and fixed it without extra charge. I trust them and always bring my vehicle to this shop.

I paid $2000 for a Cadillac converter. They said that’s the issue. The noise wasn’t gone. Brought it to honest mechanic. He lifted my hood and seen Tony and the team had unplugged everything possible so if I went over puddle it would have totalled my car. On top of it my Cadillac converter was never changed. The honest mechanic did a slight tweak and problem was solved. All tony and the team did was leave grease marks all over my inside car and they’re known to sue people for their reviews. Overall not good or decent people, they are vultures. Whole Facebook pages dedicated to showing their dishonesty. Avoid these bad humans with no principle or moral except to hurt people for their bottom dollar.

Been dealing with Ace's Automotive for about 4 years now and have always had a positive experience.
Tony's prices are very fair and it's quality work every time!
His mechanics are very knowledgeable and professional.

Ace's Automotive is amazing! Needed a starter, they did that with no problems. Then, we needed an alternator, again these folks did it-no problems. Our car has seen better days, so we needed a muffler, and no surprise, Tony came through for us. I cant say in words how we appreciate Tony and his mechanics. Ace's is very fair, and do excellent work. We will always go here, no wonder this shop is busy!

I got my wife's car towed here after the engine died. I was advised that the engine seized and it would need a replacement, the car wasn't worth the price of a new engine so Tony offered to buy the car off me for parts for 800 which I thought was fair. Tony called me a few days later asking me if I knew their was a recall on the car for a gasket issue in the engine. He returned the car to me with the hope that I could use the recall to get the engine replaced, if I was unsuccessful he would follow through with our original deal. I'm happy to announce that the engine was replaced in the car free of charge by hyundai based off of this 2016 recall. I couldn't be happier with the honesty showed by Tony and his boys at the shop. I was so relieved with the outcome as buying a new car would have financially ruined us. I can't thank these guys enough. I've always had a great experience when bringing my vehicles to aces which is why I continue to support them and spread the word. This story blows everyone's mind. Honesty and professional 11 out of 10. Thanks again guys, I honestly am so appreciative you have no idea!

I would firstly like to start off by saying the man that is in charge of answering the phones has a very bad attitude and really needs to work on not being so on guard and argumentative over every single thing….

I’m expecting him to reply to this to try and argue back seeing that those are his mannerisms. But he is well known for his horrible attitude and Customer Service and I wish I known earlier…

I took my vehicle originally for an Engine/Rad replacement and not only was I NOT told the KM’S on the new engine NOR given any type of paperwork stating it my newly “replaced rad started leaking again and he also OVERCHARGED ME and claimed that he was giving me the best price due to “ Feeling bad “ his excuse is that his prices reflect the brand new parts which equals longer usage.

I recently took the vehicle for battery/alternator related issues as-well as my Transmission Pan leaking and was quoted 1199+taxes and I decided to take it elsewhere and I was charged $550 BRAND NEW parts and labor included…. I also coincidentally met 4 other customers at the other Mechanic who turned down Aces services due to up charging and his NASTY ATTITUDE. Not one ounce of professionalism.

The staff is amazing! I had a engin light on and they checked and reset the light at NO CHARGE! Totally made my day. Thank you so much.

I’ve never given a review before, but I feel so disappointed in all the money I’ve spent here at Ace’s on my car. Do not go here…. Did not fix the one problem I was having with my car all along. May I say more…….

They have great labor prices and were quick and efficient replacing my brakes pads and control arm. I take my truck there for anything it needs now. Mechanics are also very pleasant

I have no idea about cars really, so when it came to getting an oil change as a never driver, i was pretty confused about how to go about with things.i was recommended to Ace automotives, and Tony has been great in explaining what i should check for and i am so satisfied with the services provided. New to the Oshawa area this summer, my old VW Rabbit had a few different issues to fix. Brought it to Ace and they fixed everything affordably and for a fair price! It's now my go to garage.

This is an excellent garage for having your vehicle repaired. The staff were great. Friendly, professional and they don't have an issue with explaining the diagnostics. I am from another province and needed my vehicle looked at so that I can make the trip back. With all the issues this car had, the mechanics had it fixed and running great within the day. I am extremely happy with the repairs made and the cost of this repair. I would recommend this garage to anyone wanting to have their vehicle checked. After 40 years and six vehicles, I've finally found a garage I can trust and believe in, and that's huge! Thank you gentlemen for fixing my vehicle and getting me back on the road safely. This auto shop deserves 5/5 stars, and for good reason. For those very rare 1-star reviews you might have seen (not much in between), read into it and the reasons why (the 1-star reviews are mostly emotional responses and Ace's Auto doesn't deserve this). You will see that there was mostly a problem with the customer, not this auto shop.
Tony is one of the most professional, knowledgeable mechanics I know (and all the other mechanics at the shop) and his pricing is basically the best around for top-quality work.
This shop deserves serious consideration, I will not take my vehicles anywhere else.

They were prompt to get my car looked at; they were linked to my car warranty company; and they performed the work at a competitive price. Five stars.

Went here not knowing what to expect. As a woman its hard to trust mechanics. I was so incredibly surprised with the professionalism and honesty that they provide. I decided to try this garage out and wish i went there years ago. Tony and his mechanics actually listen to what the vehicle issues are you are experiencing. I took my nissan versa there to get air conditioning fixed and they did a great job and actually showed me the rotted core they took out. So honest and friendly. They informed me of other safety things they noticed while it was on hoist so i had them fix it. Great customer service so i now took my van to get my vent fixed. Call they answer right away and got my in for morning. No 2 week wait till they have a slow day to fill the shop. Please go there and support this garage, you will be impressed!

Aces Automotive staff were very polite and knowledgeable. They explained very well what repair was needed and had vehicle ready the same day. I will definitely return to them in the future.

I went there for fixing one of my headlights. After I picked up the car I noticed my cars both highbeem lights not working.
They were supposed to fixed my one fog lights also.
I went back to the shop and told them my highbeem light was not working.
He was so rude to me. I requested him to come and check what's the problem. He told me to drop the car and he will check later.
His behaviour was so rude.
Customer service is so bad. I don't recommend anyone to go there. Never go back again.

Ace automotives are amazing in every aspect! I came to them in a panic because my car just stopped working. Even though they were about to close they told me to bring my poor car by and even tried to help calm my poor nerves too! When I called the next day they were already working on my car and fixing the problem. When they call me promptly the same day with my car fixed! Yes fixed less then a 12hr later for a absolutely reasonable price. The real amazing part is there wasn't some complication or they need all these other parts just fixed my singular issue with a friendly disposition. So if your shopping around for your car woes I whole heartily say go to ace automotives!

Was my go to place until the last time. I wasn't given the courtesy of letting me know a diagnosis of what was wrong, and giving the cost/estimate to fix it, plus took it upon themselves to put in a car battery over priced, again without my consent. Than when I was given the bill and asked them to put back my old battery, although old was still working, they decided that the work they did on my vehicle was no longer warrantied. I understand we are on hard times and small businesses are struggling, but so am I, the customers! I gave no consent on any repairs to my vehicle, going ahead without letting me know is just down right shady!

In response to the "owner" of ACE automotive, first I want to apologize for yelling, this is totally not in my character, unfortunately you called at a fragile time, no excuse, just an explanation. Although to address your other comments towards my review, I'm sorry but you are not the first repair shop I have acquired services from, NEVER have I not been called by the garage to give me an estimate of what the cost of a repair will be to the customer! I'm sure with your experience in the automotive industry, you have a ball park idea! I don't know where you purchase your car batteries, but I have called many battery retailers and even the most expensive that I can purchase for my car, still doesn't justify the amount you were charging, and again I wasn't told why you decided to change it, before charging it. You may not be a "shady" person but OUR transaction, TO ME, my opinion, was shady! I stand by that! My car was dropped off at 10: 00 AM and around 3: 00 PM, I CALLED YOU to hopefully have a discussion on what the issue was, and how much it was going to cost. Remember, I WAS a returning customer because of your integrity and how you do business. When we spoke you told me you were almost done the work, (I was taken back by that) because you didn't call me to tell me the issue was chewed wiring from mice, and give me an estimate cost. You called me back at 4: 00 and only than did you tell me the cost of the repair and again not taking the opportunity to discuss the battery that you changed, and for what reason. Now you said it took 7 hours and only charged me for 4.5 hours 10: 00-4: 00 is only 6, and that's the time it was in your possession.
It's to bad that you didn't scroll through most of my reviews, and only the few to judge me as being a difficult person. It's your opinion, and you have the right, but as do I, especially if I'm paying for a service!

Completely impressed with this place. As a woman it's hard to find a place that is trustworthy. Tony and his stop were more than professional got me in-and-out quickly. I recommend all women to use Aces Automotive.

Dealer doing Oxygen sensor recall work told me I also needed CV boots and ball joints and it would cost $1300. I took car to Ace's because I trust them and they said ball joints were needing to be replaced but I could put it off since Christmas and its expenses were around the corner. They also said that an alignment might be necessary after replacing the joints. The dealership didn't mention that. I chose to go ahead and the car was ready the next day and total cost was $1000 including alignment. Once again they have saved me money and given me quick, quality work. I won't go anywhere else.

My dad went to Tony consistently for a few years, after getting an oil change and his winter tires switched over on his 2008 GMC Sierra 2500 HD the drivers rear wheel fell off as he was driving and hit another car. He contacted Tony and he was no help. This place should have their mechanics license revoked! You have never once said come get them retourqed, and the truck has been repainted and ceramic coated before this it wasnt driven. If you dealt with your customers properly you wouldnt have to lie onine to try and cover your tail

I recently had work done here at Aces Auto for the second time. The first time I had both my vehicles summer tires switched over to winters, purchased a great set of winter tires for one of those vehicles at a great price and had a brake caliper replaced. While there I noticed the friendly customer service in this clean and up to date shop, and the repeat customers coming in with both staff and customer greeting each other by name.

This time I had to replace both wheel bearings. I have been a resident in the Oshawa area for almost a decade now and have gone to a number of auto mechanics in the area, ACES AUTO is by far the best place I have brought my vehicles to get work done. Tony and the guys here are professional, courteous and knowledgeable. They get the job done in a timely fashion and at a price that is reasonable, I do not look forward to having to repair my vehicle, but I do look forward and take comfort in the fact that I have a great establishment I can trust to bring my vehicle in to and have that problem rectified.

These guys have not let me down yet. Price is always average. Never super deals, but never overly expensive, always a good job done though, which is what I pay for and keeps me coming back.

Came in with a grinding noise, they got me in quickly, took me out and showed me that i had seized caliper, got me back on the road in no time. Great place to deal with and I'll be back. Would recommend these guys to all my friends and family

Very disappointed they over charged me 500 dollars my bill was 1100 dollars I investigated with 2 other garages to replace fuel pump it should have been 650 or less not impressed

Ripped my mom off on a safety for her van charged her 2k to change one stabilizer link, rear brakes and a tune up and only changed the front 3 spark plugs.unbelievable!
