The staff of TCET are friendly, willing to help. I received a resume review service and an online seminar from them. Nice people. Some of the recommended job hunting approaches (cold calls) I can't agree with. Maybe they need to get more company connections/direct postings to enhance their power.
4 months ago I started my job hunting journey, during the worst COVID 19 period, I have submitted about 400 online applications, never give up,
keep doing the right thing. Finally I found a job in a hospital.

Disappointing - An inefficient place keen on wasting peoples time. I showed up 10 minutes early for my appointment, I was informed I would meet with a career specialist instead I fill out some forms and I'm asked to book another appointment. Really? So all I end up doing here is wasting precious gas, money and time - which hurts even more when your unemployed. Would you like to book another appointment with us? No thanks!

The Centre for Education and Training was extremely helpful during my job search. They offered a range of services and workshops that really allowed me to refine my job search strategies and interview skills. Khalida, the TCET advisor assigned to me, did a wonderful job of providing me with tailored support right from the time I entered the TCET office, all the way until I found a job in my field. I especially appreciated the time Khalida took to get to know me and the effort she put into making me feel at ease throughout my job search period. I would definitely recommend checking out TCET Don Mills for anyone in need of employment help!

Khalida was my career councilor. She was professional, friendly and very helpful. She even met with me to help me prepare for an important interview and I ended up getting the job! All of the staff were knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The workshops were helpful. I would recommend attending this location and asking to see Khalida.
