I’m sorry to have to write a poor review but what is going on with reception? I ended up having to pay to find out my own test results because I could not get a hold of the front desk. I have called over ten times during work hours and left messages with no response. I ended up having to go to urgent care to get treated.

Reception never answers phone calls during the mentioned incall time slots. Email correspondence is non existent, never a reply back. Definitely need some more qualified administration staff onboard. No bad experience to mention about my Doctor, he always addresses and takes care of my health concerns.

Why is the phone never answered here iv called 5 times last 2 days. I left messages that haven't been returned. Can't even make and appointment just sad.

Reception/ phone answering is pretty much nonexistent. No where do they list walk-in hours. Guessing they hire family for office duties but none qualified, or care.

The front desk person was very rude and was waiting for 30 minutes and no one call me. Finally I walked and told them again that I have been waiting for dr. ‍️‍️

I got very hard time in this center and I am still having hard time with them.
No one cares about you.
If you will lose your health go there.
I am very sad to use Active Care Medical Centre.

This place is not even worth a star! Don't waste your time being their patient. Drs are always on "VOCATION" and rude with literally no answer to your questions. No one answers phone calls! Front desk lacks all the skills they are required to have. If you want to wait for hours in the waiting room or get charged for canceling appointments that you tried to reschedule and no-one picked up your call, then go here!

I have been a patient for well over a decade and can confidently say the health care workers in this clinic are more than phenomenal Thank you for everything you do for myself and fellow patients at the clinic. My Dr. (alijia) truly has saved My life.

It pains me to write this review about Dr. Alija. Over the years, Dr. Alija took minimal care of my grandparents. My grandfather was diagnosed with vascular dementia a few years ago, as a result of an undiagnosed heart arrhythmia. Early in 2021, he developed a bad cough and was given 2 inhalers. They worked temporarily, however the cough started to worsen in the fall of 2021, and developed into wheezing. After a visit to Dr. Alija’s office in October, with complaints about his coughing and wheezing, the resident doctor who was seeing them prior to Dr. Alija, looked at my grandmother and said “Well, what would you like us to do? ”, followed by not prescribing any changes, not looking into a deeper diagnosis, nothing. He sent him for an X-ray, which we later found out showed inflammation in his lungs (by logging onto myPortal). However, we didn’t get any further phone calls from him. In the beginning of 2022, we were fed up and decided to go to a walk-in. They promptly changed his inhaler, and within a week he was feeling better and no longer wheezing! In mid February, my grandfather had the unfortunate happen, he fell sick with covid-19. My grandmother and I helped him as best we could, as he was absolutely resistant to go to a hospital, because he didn’t want to leave my grandmother alone. So on Monday, February 14th, we had some very tough decisions to make. He needed support, but still insisted on not going to the hospital for fear of being apart from his family. I called Dr. Alija’s office to book a phone appointment and get my grandfather palliative care. (Surprised I got through, took multiple calls, that’s a whole other issue as you can see from other comments.) Anyhow, Dr. Alija was on vacation that week. Fine. The on-call doctor would be calling us at 2: 00pm to help us. Great. 1: 30pm comes along and the receptionist calls, telling us that the on-call doctor is refusing to give us palliative care. We’d have to wait until Dr. Alija returned on Monday, February 21st OR call back tomorrow, because the on-call doctor the next day might give it. “How come? ” I asked. “She is just saying she will not give it to you. ” was the reply. This was the response from their family doctor's clinic, their family doctor of years. At 5: 00pm, we called an after hours walk-in clinic, they gave us palliative care. A walk-in clinic that didn’t know my grandfather agreed to give us the support we so desperately needed. Now the unfortunate side is that it would take a few days to set up, so my grandmother and I, unable to support my grandfather without it, sent my grandfather to the hospital while we set everything up with palliative. On Thursday, February 17th, my grandfather was released from the hospital in a more stable condition, and we began receiving palliative care on Friday, February 18th. Three days later on Monday, February 21st, when Dr. Alija was set to return, my grandfather passed away. Can you imagine if we had waited? The suffering he would have gone through because he couldn’t pass away at home surrounded by family? A week or 2 later, still not having heard from Dr. Alija after the loss, as is customary with other doctors, we did receive his letter. He wrote, and I quote: “So sorry for your loss”. No punctuation, not very much empathy. I understand the healthcare system is pushed to its max right now in Ontario, what we’re asking for is a little more heart when dealing with people’s lives.

Never try to call this place! I have been trying to book appointment with my family doctor! They ask you not to leave a message. When trying to call, you can call 30 times a day and NEVER GET YOUR CALL ANSWERED! BUT THIS CLINIC IS TOO BUSY. IT'S SO FRUSTRATING!

Never try to call this place! I have been trying to get my son's vaccination record for MONTHS! They ask you not to leave a message, if you leave one they never return the call. When trying to call, you can call 20 times a day and NEVER GET YOUR CALL ANSWERED! I had a great family doctor BUT THIS CLINIC IS TOO BUSY. IT'S SO FRUSTRATING!

Would give 0 if possible. My elderly mother had an appointment in Stratford for a CT scan and MRI; however when she arrived (from London) she found out Haggag didn't send the requisition form. When she called the office the receptionist was rude to her and said that she would not send as Haggag was out of the office on vacation. My mother has serious health issues and really needed these checks in order to help start addressing the issues.

Dr. Bakeer is my family doctor for the last year, She is incredible, makes time and even goes us over and beyond calling / coming in after hours to help. I can always get in ASAP and no long wait times. She’s incredible I can’t speak any highly of her. Reading these reviews has me scraping my head because I’ve never had any bad experiences or rude receptionist / nurses. I will forever stay with them.

This clinic is horrible. My family doctor (Dr. Nasir) is one of the worst experiences in my life btw I went to university twice in 2 different countries and had to deal with some bad experiences in my life there lol. But this is the worst of all time easily deserved to be the top of my list. And it's just so sad when my friends and coworkers talk about their own family doctors and the way they get treated. The only thing is good about this is the building and probably that's why I gave 1 star because I can't give a half a star. Everything else is just. I am just trying to find the right words without being rude to explain it but I really can't but after looking at the people reviews and comments here, now I know I am not the only one who experienced that.

They do not respect appointment times and you will have to wait long time after the appointment time or reschedule it. Unfortunately It happened to me multiple times. When I asked them the reason behind it they answered very rude that we are busy and we have too many patients. At least do not be rude and apologize when you waste the patient time. You made the mistake by scheduling too many appointments not the patient.

My doctor "Rafshi" has been in this facility since it was built. One of the best bright and compassionate docs around. The facility is now full service with specialists, lab and drug store. Lots of parking also

This is the more disorganized practice I have ever been to. I was scheduled for a meet and greet with Dr. Atta. I had to take time off work and drive in from Woodstock (this is where I work). When I arrived, they told me that my appointment was never scheduled, so I wasted my time and gas. The receptionist asked me to take a seat and she will try to squeeze me in. I was very annoyed and frankly, did not want anything to do with this practice. I got up and requested my health card back, and the receptionist kept insisting that she was trying to help, which at this point meant nothing to me. I requested my health card again and she couldn't find it. Her desk was a mess of papers from other patients I am assuming. I couldn't believe it. She was laughing while trying to find it, which I did not find amusing at all. She then mentioned that it was possible that she handed my health card to another patient that she had helped after me. She said this so matter of factly that it makes me believe as if this is normal practice at this place. She then began to insinuate that I should leave (without my health card) and whoever had it would eventually return it. She basically wanted me to leave just because she felt uncomfortable. I said no, I am not leaving without my health card. She finally went back and got it for me, but overall, horrible service.
