Megan was attentive, caring and knowledgeable. Having Mike, the podietrist on staff is a help too. At least for my issues. He is very informative and listens with real empathy. Mike picked up on my walking issues right away and gave suggestions for new shoes. I brought the new shoes back to him for approval. LOL Got it! All of their suggestions for shoes and exercises have helped my knee issues tremendously. I went twice and Im good to go. Nice clean facility with free parking. Easy access. Very little waiting time for appointments. They don't over book themselves. I would defiantly recommend them both. Thanks for all your help.

I recently received excellent treatment for back pain at ActiveCARE Physio in Kanata from Alina D'asti. The physiotherapy and exercises that she gave me helped immensely in my recovery.

I had leg muscle issues which Alina analized and had me do some exercises
there and then gave me two sheets of paper with exercises to do at home. Very simple but effective and troubles disappeared in a week and a half. Thank you for your help.

After a disc herniation that left me with significant leg weakness and excruciating back/leg pain, Jill got me back on track with a variety of very effective treatments. She was a life saver. Had a visit at Dr Kupca. My son of 14 has developed a severe case of fallen arches. I was hoping Dr Kupca could offer some insights into why this condition has progressed so rapidly and to the extent that it did in only 2 years.
Well, to my greatest surprise, Dr Kupca would not examine my son's feet, actually she refused to even look them. Her "reason" being that "there is nothing to see" and that everyone has that nowadays. She also suggested that the flat fleet of my son are caused by his inactivity in sports.
I disagreed, as any one could clearly see that my sons case was an extreme one, effecting his ability to walk properly. Besides, his brother has none of this problem at all, I explained. When I suggested that perhaps an x-ray with the following evaluation is in order, she responded that X-rays are harmful to the health. I did remind her that while that may have been a concern in the old days, modern X-ray machines pose negligible risk. There was only silence in response. I have also asked if surgical corrections are done in some cases, or not. According to Dr Kupca, there exists no such surgical procedure. Of course, that is not the case. A simple search will confirm the opposite.

In closing I would like to note that in Canada there is no general requirement for a medical institution to provide written closure statements upon completion of medical examinations. Therefore, the examining doctor and institution can not easily be held responsible for their opinions, actions or recommendations that follow. This in contrast with standards of European medical practices.
