ActiveCARE Physio and Sports Medicine - Montfort

I loved my experience at ActiveCARE; they were effective, organized, pleasant and very accomodating. With their care and coaching, as well as the exercises they tought me, I was able to gain the use of my injured knee and return to my active life style. I learned a lot, got answers to all my questions and got better. I highly recommend; Shawn and team were really great!

Should I write a review? I think I love this place. Everybody is great. Shawn is very very knowledgeable, communicates very well and has good simple explanations and easy instructions to follow.
Please leave some room in the schedule for me.

Aaron Hadwyn really knows his stuff, I didn't just leave feeling great, I left knowing how to take better care of myself. He was very patient with me and answered every question I had.

I normally don’t post reviews, but I felt this clinic and its staff truly deserve one. Especially in light of the previous one called JaggedMastermind… the physiotherapy, massage and administrative team have been nothing but kind and respectful to me and all the other people who are treated there, with a warm welcoming atmosphere. I’ve been going there every few weeks for nearly a year now to treat multiple severe injuries and have seen great lasting results.

To the Jagged Mastermind, I know of whom you speak, but can say the only times out of the 60+ I have personally witnessed her or any of the team be short and respond in the way you allege is if the patient is behaving rather unpleasantly. I think it’s no coincidence you did not find any reviews mentioning “the nasty blonde”….

My personal experience anyways has been a friendly, courteous and even educational staff who come together to support my recovery and provide an enjoyable experience with a lighthearted inclusive environment. They have gone above and beyond in their services and I consider these people almost like friends because our interactions. Highly recommend this team if you are in need of treatment… just don’t expect to be met with warm treatment if you are being a snarky jackass and trying to use them as a punching bag - as it should be!

The receptionist was absolutely lovely, and kept letting me know that the doctor was busy when my appointment was 35 minutes late.
I was extremely unimpressed with how I was spoken to by the doctor. I found many of his comments reminisent of gaslighting I have been subjected to by doctors in the past. Telling somone that their pain response is not based on their word, but what "you" think it is while examining them is ludacris.
I would reccomend physio, but would not reccomend going to him for a diagnosis of any kind. Not empathetic, nor compassionate enough to provide opinions on chronic illnesses that already have been proven by doctors with much more qualifications.

The entire staff is wonderful to work with.

June 23 2021. I feel the need to write again a review after reading the last one that was so insulting. FYI the beautiful blonde at the desk is Emma a person. To personally insult shows nothing but a lack of intelligence on your behalf. If you have a problem keep it professional!
After loosing half my family and a serious accident that left me near death I have been here twice a week for the last year and could not have
recovered without all the staff here that has looked after not only my physical health but my mental health as well. These people all of them have become like a second family and I can't thank you all enough for all your encouragement and continued support. Please ignore that person's rude remarks as I would highly recommend anyone that needs help to come here for care.

I started going to Activecare about 5 years ago. After my car accident, I had very little movement and my doctor recommender this place. From day one the staff has been very friendly and helpful with all of my insurance papers. Best of all is Shawn, well that is if you like going to someone that hurts you and makes you feel good at the same time. On bad days Shawn and the staff are right there with me making sure that I doing what I can without any judgments.

I was there today, and the girl that helped me out was fantastic, a great experience. Thank you!

I was sent here by a doctor following an injury several years ago and have been coming back ever since for various other aches, pains, and injuries. I can't recommend them highly enough! Extremely friendly and wonderful customer service. The physios are very knowledgeable and truly get to the root of every problem. I especially appreciate that Shawn takes the time to explain how the muscles work and why a specific approach is recommended. I've never had trouble securing an appointment even though they are very busy, and when I called in a lot of pain recently moved things around so that I could be visited right away.

One has to wonder what prompted Dr. Boudreau to become a sports doctor which is all about dealing with people in pain. This requires not only the diploma, humanity and empathy are at the heart of the profession. Dr. Boudreau has neither. I was in a lot of pain when I saw her and found her abrupt, impatient and rude thoughout the visit. Her behavior was totally unacceptable. Dr. Boudreau bluntly expressed her frustration that her manipulations caused me great pain which made the exam difficult. A sports doctor? Really? There would be a media story to cover and I don't exclude that possibility. I have informed my family doctor and my physiotherapist, who are Aces of heart in their field, of my execrable experience and strongly suggest that my doctor not refer patients to her. She was appalled. I previously dealt with Dr. Weber who had all the attributes required by his profession. On top of the list, a profound comprehension of the physical and emotional ravages caused by pain and great respect for patients suffering from it. On the opposite end, Dr. Boudreau seemed surprised that my mild case of osteoarthritis caused acute pain when it is well know within the profession that there is no correlation between the phase of osteoarthritis and the degree of pain experienced by the patient. I gave 5 stars to the administrative staff of her clinic. I would have given Dr. Boudreau 0 but the option was not available. Within the community of health professional who honor their profession, Dr. Boudreau is an ant amongst giants.

'On ne peut que se demander ce qui a incité le Dr. Boudreau à choisir la médecine sportive, une profession qui requiert une constante interaction avec des personnes qui éprouvent de la douleur, souvent extrême. Cela nécessite bien plus qu'un diplôme, l'humanisme et l'empathie sont au cœur de cette profession. Le Dr. Boudreau ne possède ni l'un ni l'autre bien au contraire. J'éprouvais beaucoup de douleur lors de mon rendez-vous avec elle. Elle s'est montrée brusque, impatiente et très impolie tout au long du rendez-vous. Un comportement absolument inacceptable. Entre autres, Dr. Boudreau a sèchement exprimé sa frustration que ses manipulations me causent de la douleur ce qui rendait l'examen difficile. Médecin des sports? Incroyable. Il y aurait un reportage à faire et je n'exclus pas cette possibilité. J'ai informé mon médecin de famille et ma physiothérapeute, des As de cœur dans leur domaine, de mon expérience exécrable avec ce médecin. J'ai fortement recommandé à mon médecin de ne jamais lui référer de patients. Elle était consternée de mon expérience. Son prédécesseur, le Dr. Weber, avait une réputation enviable et possédait tous les attributs de sa profession. En haut de la liste une profonde compréhension des ravages physiques et émotifs que cause la douleur et un grand respect pour les patients qui en souffrent. Contrairement à lui, le Dr. Boudreau semblait surprise que mon arthrose légère puisse causer une douleur aigue alors qu'il est reconnu dans la profession qu'il n'y a pas de corrélation entre le stade de l'arthrose et la douleur éprouvée par le patient. J'ai donné 5 étoiles au personnel administratif de sa clinique. Je voulais lui en donner 0 mais l'option n'était pas disponible. A l'intérieur de la communauté es professionnels de la santé qui font honneur à leur profession, le Dr. Boudreau est une fourmi parmi les géants.
