Top notch clinic. Dr. Hess is one of the best Veterinarians in southern Ontario. Not just my opinion, many I know feel the same way and would only trust their pets with him or the other Vets at his clinic. Kind, caring, highly experienced, knowledgeable and very compassionate. Above all, he loves animals.
Reasonable rates and friendly staff. Nice facility too.

Dr. Hess is an outstanding compassionate human being and a wonderful vet! We have had the privilege of taking one of our rescue dogs to see Dr. Hess recently. We live in Paris, Ontario but the drive to Acton was definitely worth it! Dr. Hess had been recommended to us by a friend of mine, David King. Dr. Hess spent so much time with Mya and my girlfriend and I and was able to thoroughly understand the issues our beloved dog was having. She had been diagnosed a number of months ago with Lyme disease but was still limping regularly after we had gone through the treatment our previous vet had prescribed. Thanks to his extremely high tech office systems he was able to do X-rays, blood work, lab work etc.all on site and within our visit! Mya had also been having trouble with her left ear so Dr. Hess simply sniffed her ear (he knew what it was), did lab work to confirm his thoughts and gave us the right medication for Mya- something no vet to date has been able to or willing to take the time to do. His office is also top notch- we have had 2 calls from them checking up on Mya to see how she was doing (one call was from Dr. Hess himself!). On top of everything else, Dr. Hess and his wife are in the office on Sundays for clients who find it difficult to get to him during the week. Is Dr. Hess really Dr. Doolittle? We know for sure he can talk to animals! What we have also found out is that he understands people and truly wants to help all animals and their owners.

I have been taking my puppy to this vet now for several months. Everyone here has been wonderful and extremely helpful with all of our concerns. This being said, I decided to use their grooming services they offer from the clinic. These services are ran by a woman named Shirley. I have received noting but attitude and poor customer relations from her since we began using her services and I would advise anyone wanting to take their dog here for a grooming to completely stay clear of her and her services. My dog was taken in for a bath today and when we came to pick her up we were told she was unable to clip her nails (which was booked in with her bath appointment), due to her not staying still. My dog now has to go through the stress of a second appointment elsewhere to have her nails done because of Shirleys lack of patience. Then come to learn after calling the clinic, “Shirley” simply does not like using the collar/leash restraint for grooming dogs, which from my experience and research elsewhere it is very standard practice to use one of those. She proceeded to say she was worried the dog was going to hurt herself in the bath due to moving so much. Again where was the restraint? She is a puppy. I was then explained by staff that she tends to struggle with grooming larger breeds. I would have appreciated honesty when I booked and explained her breed, that she was not comfortable working on her. Finally, she referred to my dog as acting “crazy”, when she has never displayed any behaviour as such and is an extremely gentle dog. She would not accept debit and only wanted cash, which ive used debit many of times here before. I highly advise you take your fur babies to anyone but Shirley! I would like to give a shoutout to the one front desk lady Jessica. You were so kind and understanding with my concerns after today’s appointment and I appreciate you giving us a much better experience then the groomer did with your clinic.

Got my 3 rabbits spayed and their surgery went very well all 3 recovered at home with little to no complications and we're back to normal with in 48 hours. Very happy:)

Very caring and reliable vet. Welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff that follow up. Would highly recommend!

Took one of our boys here because he was having some urinary problems, dropped off at 9am and picked up our boy at 6pm that same night. He recieved blood work, urinary sample plus sedation to do so for being a cranky pants. Along with an x-ray for possible stones in his urine and medication for recovery. We were expecting a bill of max $400-$500 which I believe to be reasonably fair.we were slapped with a $922 bill. Needless to say my heart dropped at that moment. I understand people have to make a living but I feel as if I've been taken advantage of for making sure a member of my family is okay
Update: had taken my cat to another vet in Georgetown and they said my cat had been mishandled during a visit at the last vet and traumatized my cat. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE.
