Was very impressed with their service. Purchased a camera when I needed one urgently. I tried so many other camera stores - all of which said that the camera wasn't in stock at their store.
Then I called up Aden Camera and spoke to John, who told me that it was available and that he would keep my item at the side. Rightly so after reaching the store he promptly get everything done very quickly and swiftly. He was very informative as well and guided me with other photography stuff too. Also the store had a wide range of photography equipments from various brands. Very ready to help out with any questions. I would highly recommend this store.

Can’t be any worse. I walked into the shop with my Fujifilm X-H2, I just bought it and I just try to get into photography. I was asking how do I choose xf16mmf1.4 or xf18mmf1.4. The 16 was released in 2015 and 18 is released 2022, the 16 never updated, so I would like to have an comparison between the closest focus length that I am looking for. He directly gives me a “lecture” with bad attitude, also ask me how do I don’t know how to choose when I have a such setup. Lol, if I buy a Lamborghini I can be come Louis Hamilton instantly, so I know how to race? He is so racist, I don’t think he treat any other kind like this. He is mean to me as my skin is yellow. I don’t know the gear so I came to ask, to know the spec, to know how it actually feels and results when it’s on the camera. I’m not here to hear him loud shouting and giving those unhelpful question. RACIST.

Amazing friendly staff and fast service when developing and scanning film. I used them 4 times when staying in downtown Toronto.

I purchased a Canon R6 Mark II from Simon, he was very friendly and helpful. The camera was delivered quickly and in mint condition.

We were here to check out a Nikon Mirrorless lens.and went back not just buying it but also feeling really good about having discovered a good camera place. John was very friendly, helpful, patient and most important of all.quick with advice and discounts:)

I recently purchased an FujifilmXT5 from Aden camera, and I greatly appreciated how helpful the team at Aden camera was walking me through the pros and cons of each model in the XT line.

Simon, Nim, and Eden were incredible! They are all so knowledgeable and personable. I bought my first camera yesterday, and they made it a wonderful experience. I was looking for a camera that excelled in photos as well as videos and Simon recommended the Sony a7c.

Worst service ever. I went there purchasing a camera but they made me feel I own them money

Super friendly staff & quick turnaround. Went to get a disposable 35mm camera developed and they said it would take 2 hours due to a backlog from yesterday. I explained that I was in a rush and had to be out of the city soon and they were able to develop it within an hour! Would definitely recommend.

John was super helpful and answered all my questions. Super friendly and knowledgeable, and really helped me make a proper decision. Very happy to go with the xt4!

The one sales guy I keep getting always seems rushed and isnt the most helpful. Location is ideal for me but prefer the service at Henry's and Downtown Camera.

One of my go-to camera stores in Toronto due to their fantastic service and selection of products. John V always takes care of me! Also a good spot to get your 35mm film developed and scanned!

They have good collection and quality of the products are impressive as I saw for tripod for my camera they have very good ones and sales rep JACK is fully knowledgeable over the cameras and it’s accessories, almost everything in the store.

I like this camera store but one of the staff wasn’t that friendly and a bit pretentious. I was planning to buy another film camera but he didn’t seem like he wanted to help me anyways so their loss.

Had my 35mm colour rolls developed scanned back the next day after drop off! Amazing service and quality of scan file. Aidan was absolutely awesome and helped to keep my kosmo roll to keychain!

Purchased a lens and some accessories yesterday and I was provided the best service by Nim. He shared all his expertise and was able to answer all my concerns. Some of the best customer service I have ever received. Definitely recommend this spot for camera equipment!

Before the holidays I ordered the Canon Macro Ring Lite MR-14EX II Flash and since I would be using it on a Canon 100 mm macro lens I needed the adapter, which they didn't have in stock. Finally after a few months the adapter arrived and the class act that Aden Camera staff are, they called to confirm that I still wanted my order as it had been some time.

Have to respect and return to a place that has that kind of customer service.

At the beginning of April I Called Aden Camera a week before catching a flight to Europe and asked if they had a specific lens that was listed on the website. They said the lens was in store but it was a different model lens to my camera body so they suggested that I also purchase an adapter that would take 2-3 days to ship to the store.they told me they would hold on to the camera lens and I can pick up both when the adapter shipped. I waited and got called over to pick up the adapter + lens in the morning telling me both were in store, and when I arrived in the evening they took 30 minutes to tell me they only had the adapter but sold the lens sometime during the week. They communicated poorly and wish they would've gave me a headsup the lens was sold.

Terrific experience with Aden Camera on Yonge! I've forgotten more than I remember about cameras and the staff was incredibly helpful at pointing me in the right direction for my renewed interest and shooting goals. I just love my new Canon EOS RP body and lenses!
What I loved best about my experience was using the knowledge of others to help me not only choose my new equipment, but also the reminder that I'd want a spare battery and card so I never get caught short in the field. Buying from an authorized reseller also gives me the peace of mind knowing that if anything goes wrong with my investment that service will be easy.

My new go to spot for all my film needs (purchasing, developing, scanning, you name it!) After going to another well known name in Toronto for quite some time for film developments, I decided to try Aden after the other store's COVID operations made their whole process awkward and clunky. Needless to say I don't plan on switching back. Aden's prices and turnaround times (1 hour for C41 developments) simply cannot be beat. They seem to do a great job and the staff is friendly.

I live in Vancouver and do almost all my photo shopping through Aden. Their customer service and prices can't be beat. I've been a customer since 2008 and can't recommend this store enough. Over the years Eddie and John have been super helpful to me. Thanks for all your great help guys!

Just got my first camera here today. John’s suggestions was super helpful to me, it is my pleasure to talk with him and got what I need. He even helped me to set up everything and shared a lot of useful tips. 1000% recommend, if you want to build up your first camera, come and talk with John, trust me.

Do NOT develop your film here. Not only do they charge an exorbitant amount of money to buy and develop your 35mm film, but the pictures never come out right. Take your money to downtown camera or Annex photo.

From the call the night before going into the store through to being in the store the experience was excellent. John was super helpful and got me exactly what I needed. Couldn't recommend them more. 6*.

Been shopping here for years. They’ll give you the best prices in Toronto if you talk to them directly and they always have lots of stock. The staff will tell me honestly if a product isn’t the right one for me, even if it means losing the sale. Excellent photo lab, too.

Very disappointing customer service. Second time getting disposable film developed - did the exact same thing as I did the first time: asking for hard and scanned copies. Received the scanned copies no issue, go to pick up the hard copies which they tell me they don’t have bc I had chosen for them to be destroyed (to which I thought they meant the left over film roll). I explain there was a miscommunication and a mistake- instead of apologizing and providing me with a solution (just print the photos) I was passed between 2 very rude, passive aggressive and condescending males, both of which told me the miscommunication was obviously my fault bc the person who originally helped me was the “lab tech” and couldn’t possibly have made a mistake, even though neither were present for the original conversation. Regardless of whose mistake it is, the least I expect is friendly interactions!

Incredibly talented staff, fair pricing and a wonderful atmosphere make this my go-to camera shop in Toronto.

I used to be a loyal customer of Aden Camera as it’s located near my house, however, I’ve noticed that their services have started to get worse and worse. I have been using disposable and film cameras for almost a year, with no problems, so I’m pretty confident I used it correctly, however, when I went to get my recent film developed, I only got 19 pictures out of 27.

When I brought up this matter to the store, they said that I must have exposed the film to light, causing it to not come up on the negatives and therefore could not be developed. They tried to say that it was my mistake as I may have taken it in bad lighting, however, I don’t believe this as there are pictures I took at the same time, with the same lighting, where one picture turned out fine and got developed, and the next did not “come up at all” for them.

I bought my camera from them, I bought my film from them, and I got it developed from them so I don’t understand what the issue is. This has happened to my friend as well, where she didn’t get all of her pictures from her disposable camera, and they mentioned the same thing.

Since 1/3 of my pictures were not developed, I asked for some sort of reimbursement, however, they refused and did not provide any assistance whatsoever.

I will definitely not be supporting this store anymore!

We are a husband and wife portrait and wedding photography team and recently upgraded our entire camera system, making the move from Nikon to Fuji mirrorless. We reached out to several camera stores in the Niagara Region and GTA. Eddie at Aden Camera had prompt and friendly service and offered the most competitive pricing on our large purchase. Some equipment we ordered was on pre-order and he shipped them to us as they arrived free of charge. We will definitely now be life long customers and work forward to working with Eddie again on future purchases.

Most of the time they have good service, but I have had instances of very poor phone etiquette.passive aggression when asking questions.

Fast, good service for their 1-hour scans+development. But they burnt some negatives. Also, I've had some of the employees be unnecessarily passive agressive, rude and hostile over the phone.

Went in today for my first time developing film and was so happy with the help i received and the speed at which i received my scans (under an hour!) highly recommend)

This store is game changing. Best prices and most knowledgeable staff. A smaller store with huge reward. Jon has always been an amazing rep and has never backed down from a question or concern. Love this store and will always head on over first before anywhere else if I’m in need of some gear!

Great experience with an online purchase - I bought a $6,000 Canon C100 mark ii camera kit and had no issues with the purchase. There was a small issue with the order but they immediately corrected the issue. I would recommend Aden and would buy from them again. I am happy that in choosing to support small businesses in Canada, I got the same price I would have paid online and I know that they will stand behind their products based on my experience. I have not had the same luck with other online sellers.

Within a couple months.

Bought a Fuji X100v from them at Pacific mall a few months ago. The focus ring was grinding so badly I returned it. Upon another visit I was told they contacted Fuji and it was within specs. They shorted me on the bundle, I did not get the free extra battery. So they end up cleaning it and putting it back up for sale.

The second unit I was told there was nothing they could do. After 400 pictures I was unable to select from optical viewfinder to electronic viewfinder. The curtain in the viewfinder stuck halfway. As of August 1 it sits at Fujifilm Canada for service.

These cameras are within a couple months old. I do question Fujis QA. But more so since I was told they could not return the first unit and I would not expect they toss it it ends up back for sale as new.

They do offer a discount but it's not worth it. They do not allow returns. They did not give me the bundled extra battery. And from what I see they sell used cameras as new since I got one with 400 images already taken on it.

Wonderful staff who know what they're talking about. They've always been very nice and patient. Good place to go for anything film related, from in-store processing for 1 hour colour, and a day or two for black/white, to film.

Digital lenses and whatnot are all new for the most part, with fairly standard selection, along with a smaller selection of accessories.

Freddie and Eddie was very helpful and knowledgeable. The store has a large collection of gears. I love the store environment, too!

Their service is fantastic. I was looking for a difficult to find lens. The only store that was willing to go the extra mile was Aden and yes they did locate it and had it in two days. John was my contact person and did a fantastic job. I will definitely be dealing with them again.

Best customer service out there hands down. The shop pretty much always has everything I need and can always order in anything not in their inventory. Talk to John, honest and straight up advice and he won’t sell you something that he knows isn’t good. Highly recommend

Fast service for their 1-hour scans+development which really sets them apart from other competitors. But they burnt some of my negatives.

We went in Aden to buy a new Lens. The original employee asked us if we had a student card because he could provide a discount, which we happily provided. We had called earlier and they said they could do $2700, so we wanted to confirm by asking if this discount will be provided on top of the original price quoted through the phone and it just so happened that when we were confirming, the manager was there. After the main sales person went to go photocopy the student card, he came back to say "you should have just taken the student discount, it was cheaper". Not understanding what he meant, we asked what he was referring to.he stated we would’ve gotten a cheaper price with the student discount than if we had asked if the discount would be applied to the original $2700…

All we did was ask a question. We asked if they would honour the student discount that they offered us (mere seconds before) and they said no. So because we asked a question to confirm a price, they decided to up charge us for the higher price. The sales rep decided that "there was nothing he could do". Needless to say, we will not be shopping at a place that penalizes customers for asking questions.

They often try to sell that they are a family owned business, but clearly they run without family owned principles. Being in a middle of a pandemic I thought it’d be a good idea to support local. I would much rather spend an extra $200 at other family owned businesses that have morals and standards for the way they treat their customers.

Just because of John, I initially gave this store 5 stars. John took care of my questions and concerns like a family member would. But when John is not there, the customer service is worth 0 stars. Specially, the asian guy with grey hair is the worst person to deal with. I am not sure how he survives being a sales rep.

Second visit to give them a chance:
Even worse experience than last time. Never stepping my foot in this shop ever again.

This is my choice for film development. Absolutely amazing 1 hour development for your colour film. The other day I have them 11 rolls of film and by the time I got home already received my scanned images! Simply the best!

I come to this camera store regularly (at least once a week during the summer) to get my 35mm films developed. It only takes them between 30-60 minutes to develop my films, without scanning. But even with scanning, they deliver it to you on the same day, if not, the next day! I highly recommend this place for film pros and enthusiasts

Fast, efficient and extremely responsive. With the current situation, decided that photography would be a new hobby during lockdown. Eddie, John and Nim have all been great in getting me set-up.oh and the deals are the best in the city and online.

I have been going here for years and I am consistently ecstatic with the service, the quality of film processing and scanning, the wide variety of film stocks, camera accessories, and their beautiful selection of cameras and lenses. Their staff is also always so kind and knowledgeable and the owners are the coolest! Also their curbside pickup is super easy!

Big cities often have several professional camera stores, And Sometimes if you’re lucky you’ll find one that is truly exceptional.

Since first visiting the store nearly 2 years ago, Aden Camera has always been exceptional.

The staff are knowledgeable and friendly.
I’ve spoken to both John and Matthew when inquiring about a lens or camera body,
and they’ve always been super helpful.

It continues to be the first place I’ll go to.

Before I went to this store I was told the staff were very impatient. However I found it quite the opposite. Staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating. They took their time to explain the camera and its warranty policies. Got my SONY a7iii here and some free gifts! 100% satisfied:)

Have been buying from Aden Camera for over 10 years and have always had a great experience! Always manage to get great copies of lenses there, and if there's any issue they replace it on the spot.

I have now been a regular customer of Aden for the past couple of months and I can honestly say that they have amazing customer service. I’ve encountered one mishap for which was resolved after bringing it to their attention. And so far the representatives that I had dealt with were really helpful. One person in particular is Nim. His impeccable customer service and approach has kept me coming back. He would speak truthfully about his experiences and knowledge/expertise on any photo/subject-matter. Every time I go and drop my film rolls, I always look for him! Nim’s my guy! Also can’t ignore their one hour guaranteed turn-around time for processing! How great is that? !?

While Aden Camera may have good prices, their customer service and support is terrible.
For one, they have a no returns policy. Doesn't matter if you bought an item from them that doesn't work properly - you cannot get a refund. Only an exchange and/or store credit. I learned this the hard way. Having bought most of my gear through Henry's, I was accustomed to a camera store that was willing to provide a refund when their gear didn't work properly, and was very supportive in those kinds of situations.
Second, with Aden you have only ten days to make an exchange if you do buy an item that isn't working properly. In my case, I live in Mississauga and work full-time. It wasn't possible for me to get to Aden Camera in time to see if the one other copy of the defective lens they sold me worked better than the one I was stuck with. The staff was not helpful at all. They didn't seem to care that they had sold a defective lens to someone who would not be able to make it to the shop by the time the exchange period was up. They told me to buy the dock and if that didn't work, talk to Sigma.
Ultimately, I was left with what was supposed to be a brand-new $1100 Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 Art that did not autofocus properly through the viewfinder. I don't mean it had a poor hit rate. I mean that it would not autofocus accurately through the viewfinder at all.
I invested almost $100 on the USB dock, thinking that it was a calibration issue, but I wasn't able to fix the problem.
Months later, I finally had time to drive over to Gentec in Markham to drop off my camera and lens for them to calibrate. Because that was all I thought was needed - a professional calibration. Thank god for Sigma and their warranty.
Anyhow, I dropped off the lens and was told that a simple calibration wouldn't take more than a week or so. Two weeks went by and I began to wonder. After three weeks, I was about to email them when my camera and lens finally arrived.
I opened up all the packaging and took a look at the invoice. Turns out the lens had a lot more issues than calibration. The lens had to be disassembled, the lens unit rebuilt and aligned, and repairs made to the HSM motor.
All these repairs make me wonder if I bought a seriously flawed lens that was brand-new, or if I bought an exchange that was kept on the shelf. I don't know. I do know that I was hardly able to use a $1100 lens for months because Aden did not offer me a refund. I also could not make it to the shop in ten days (it was actually less than a week by the time I realized the extent of the problem and called them) to exchange the lens for the only other one that they had in stock, hoping it performed better than the on they sold me.
Ultimately, it was Sigma and Gentec who solved the problem for me by pretty much rebuilding the lens.
I've owned 6 Sigma lenses, four of them Art, and while they can sometimes have AF issues, I've never had a brand-new (or used) Sigma lens require so much repair work.
Once they sold me the lens, Aden didn't really seem to care about the problems I was having with it.
So sure.they may have slightly better prices than other camera shops in the Toronto Area, but I will stick with Henry's, which has far better return/exchange policies, as well as customer service and support. Even Amazon has offered me full returns on lenses that did not work as advertised.
So.eight months later, I finally have a working lens. Thank-you to Sigma and Gentec. Aden Camera. I won't be doing business with them again.

I went to Aden camera with a roll of 36exp Film today at 4: 50pm. By 5: 14pm I had my pictures developed and emailed to me. Awesome service!

I went into the store and greeted by a junior employee of the store, which was fine because he tried his best to answer my questions. However, when he wanted to show me a camera, but he had to ask for permission from one of the senior employees first. Then, the gentleman just answered "NO" with a very bad attitude.

After all of that, I asked the junior salesman, "how much does that camera cost? ", and then he told me the price (which is over 4000). Then, I said "okay, thank you so much. " and I left the store.

In conclusion, do not expect them to show you anything that is expensive, and KNOW WHAT YOU WANT BEFORE YOU COME, instead of look for what you need in the store.

Oh, by the way. Henry's is not too far away from there. I think they should do a better job.

The worst thing about Aden Camera is the return policy, but the best thing about it is the customer service. These folks work *hard* to get you the best deal for your money. And they supply a bunch of the other camera stores in town, so they’ve got connections. Nice people, good prices, good place — especially if you know what you’re looking for. Just rent the lenses at Vistek before you buy!

Best prices in town. Amazing service (people smile here!). I bought my camera along with a lens last September and had it stolen in March. They were able to get me a next to identical deal, which if they hadn't, I would be without gear and unable to work! Who ever you speak with, you're in good hands. Highly recommended.

I bought my new camera and lens here and dealt with Nim. My experience has been very good. Nim went out of his way to help me out, not only to get the best deal for the camera, but also along with Freddie, the manager, helped me getting my prints out for my exhibition.
