Admiral Submarine

I am amazed they are still open. It is dirty, expensive, and food was barely warm. I think the man lost his kindness to customers many years ago. Save your money! Back bacon on a bun, hot dog and onion rings…40 bucks. I could’ve bought 4 hot pizzas somewhere else. Very disappointed.

This place has been my home away from home since the 90s I moved to Alberta in 2004 and have been looking for Its equal ever since.so when I do come home to Brantford I make it a point to get food. Harry is awesome and is always friendly Love the man

Excellent food, Huge portion. A standard sub is about 10 -11 inch long so order accordingly. Coffee is good too.
I had a burger and it was superb.

Nice family owned business. The poutine was massive but not great as gravy is microwaved and super salty. The Philly cheese steak sandwich was alright. Someone with me had a meatball sub and said it tasted like rubber and found blue lint inside of it! I don’t understand the 4.2 rating

Huge portions. Double Bacon cheeseburger comes with free fries. Can literally feed 3-4 people. Old school diner type food with home made fries are the best here hands down.

The family that runs this place are awesome. We're from Cambridge and it's worth the drive. Great prices/portions/hours. 5 stars!

Just came from the place, always great food, huge portions, and the price is right. Won't go anywhere else while I'm in Brantford. I don't care if it looks like 1978.

Best poutine in Brantford.maybe the world.especially when you're half cut.poutine the size of a microwave

We go there quite often, love the food! You can't get a better burger than here! The prices are amazing, staff are friendly, service is awesome ️

My wife and I absolutely love this place. It's very difficult to find an old school place that serves great food at a reasonable price anymore. We moved to Alberta 8 years ago, but every time we come back for a visit we always go here and wingmaster.
The food is good and the portions are huge. Last visit my wife and I split a sub and small fries (which is a large takeout jammed full of fries) and we were both full for $14. The price was so low I had to give him a few extra dollars as a tip so I didn't feel like he was getting ripped off. The best and most impressive part is that after all these years the original owner is still hard at work. My hat is off to you sir, I am thoroughly impressed.

If you are ever in Brantford stop by far a true hallmark of Brantford eatery’s with the iconic junk pile and cheeseburgers it really is a cut above the rest

You WILL be satisfied with the quantity of the food and for the price of it the quality is reasonable, however not the best around. Overall I’d definitely recommend, it’s worth a shot!

It's definitely not a place to impress someone on a first date. It's really old and outdated. But the people who own and run the place are friendly. You won't believe the portions of food you get! Always made fresh, tons of variety.

I would give Admiral Submarine 0 stars if I could. Workers were not wearing masks or gloves. There is plexi glass but the employee kept going around it to talk to us. I assumed that she would put on a mask while making our food but she didn’t. Felt very uncomfortable there regarding covid. Didn’t see any sanitizing or hand washing either. On top of that the food was awful, just inedible. Tasted very processed! Burger patties tasted like something you’d find from the frozen section at Frechco. I highly recommend avoiding this fast food restaurant.

Been getting food from them for 20y love them always gave good tips to delivery drivers but tonight made a mistake was dark outside gave 50 too much and told him to keep change like to see if it's a honest person. P.s. I will still get food from there was my mistake Frenchy love the food and good service I always had

Rare place and still the same after all these years.double cheeseburger and fries combo can fill up two hungry lumber Jack's. Massive portions you rarely find anywhere.

Admirals is the best place for food in Brantford, The food is amazing, portions are massive and the prices are great. I moved to Brantford from Toronto for university, out of all the burger places in Toronto I would pick Admirals burgers over any of them. Owners are super friendly and polite and the establishment is in great shape. Keep up the good work

Haven't been to Admiral in years, stopped today and got 2 double bacon cheeseburg w/fries and chicken fingers n fries. Still huge portions. And it's same old guy that runs it. He has slowed down incredibly from when we first went there but still good food.

This is one of the first places I ordered from when I moved to Brantford, 5 years later and I’m still ordering from here. The food is delicious and the portions are HUGE! If it’s your first time ordering you’re guaranteed to be shocked by the amount of food you get. I love the veggie subs from here. Always a super fresh bun and they pile on so many vegetables you can barely fit the sub in your mouth.

Went here for first time today. Ordered a bacon cheese burger, cheeseburger, and 2 poutine. The portion sizes were insane and had I known I would have ordered less.

First - the burgers were really good and yes greasy but the good kind of greasy. The burgers were huge and had 2 patties which I didnt know but was good. The buns were big and fresh. I would recommend the burgers - be aware they are huge and order accordingly lol.

The poutine was large portion and I didn't like it. The fries weren't cooked enough and the gravy was heated up (not fresh). The cheese was good but overall the poutine i would not order again or recommend.

The service was friendly and not a long wait for the food. The inside was retro and they had minor Covid19 precautions (plexi glass barrier, couldn't go too close to counter, bathrooms closed). Its does not have wheelchair accessible door. They have sitting area that was open. The person who served us did not wear a mask or gloves while preparing the food.

Overall - would recommend trying if your in the area but be mindful of the portion sizes and it is reasonably priced for the portions.

Heard from a friend about this little place, so I tried it out. I was hungry and wanted a burger, so that's what I ordered. Let's just day I'm glad I wasn't on a diet, because its definately not Weight Watchers friendly, but that's a good thing. The food was excellent, and very well priced for what you got. Only thing I could really say bad was the decor of the place, but the food makes up for any short comings.

If your out for a drive for the day this is a good place to stop in for Fries a Hamburger. You always get a large portion of what you order. A must stop if you are in the Brantford area.

Massive amount of food for the price. The fries were fantastic but the burger and philly cheese steak were average. I wasn't a fan of the deep fried back bacon on my burger. That being said the woman working the grill was super friendly. I would definatley go back.

After picking up my cats' ashes, my daughter, my best friend, and I went to stop in to admiral's for a quick little bite. To my dismay, the fries were so dry, the gravy was lumpy, and later on in the evening after I retired to my sleeping chamber, I woke up and expelled the units of nourishment from my food bag. Old gray mare, she ain't what she used to be. And I wouldn't be surprised if they used old gray mare meat in their food.

Not the fanciest place but has the most insane bacon double cheese burger around. It's close to the size of your head. Wana pig out. This is the place. Smoke a fatty before ya go in

This place is great the biggest portions ever, for my family of 5 we get the small fries and it is enough for use to share. Cheese balls and mushrooms are huge portions as well. Burgers are great. So if you are getting together with friends and love to share then this is the place to go or for take out or delivery too.

The pay there is way below minimum wage personand the place is outdated in style but the customer service and the quality of food is great it got a lot for your money and I greatly appreciate

It is good but it has not been the same since they took out the BBQ grill and replaced it with a flat top fryer

If I had a choice my rate would be in the negatives. Ordered food for delivery over and hour and a half later it hasn't arrived so I call back. They sent it out 30 min ago. Another 30 min past my food has arrived. Completely cold and soggy and on top of that it was completely wrong and not what I ordered. So 2 hours to get cold nasty food that sat in someone's car for an hour.

Been going here since i was a kid, its part of brantfords heritage at this point. Could use some renovations and possibly a menu refresher with pictures n such. Its a time capsule at the moment

Always the best poutine. You need at least 4-7 people to finish it, it’s amazing delicious and my favourite. Poutine is my favourite food, trust me I KNOW

Best burgers in Ontario! They are almost the size of an actual submarine. Went here when I was a kid, and took my kids there and hopefully they will take their kids one day too. Best experience and service.

Amazing tasting food (probably not healthy but meh). Prices are amazing. Staff is friendly, rushed, but friendly. Disgusting on the inside, but it's the admirals signature.

A solid 4/5. Ambiance is lacking, totally. A bit of a run-down place, becausr it's old, but, BUT the Food is GOOOD!
You might call it a "greasy spoon, " but it's great for what you get. Just over $11, dbl.burger combo & drink, and seriously, enough food for two people! And it's Good
Fine dining it is NOT, but for a good stick-to-your-ribs, fill you up meal, you cant beat this place.
Staff was very friendly and pleasant as well. It's a humble place.

There was so much food yesterday, that I only ate 1/2 of it, and then had the rest for lunch today. Just drank water today, so not as full. I'll be going back to Admiral Submarine, next time I'm in the area.

I've been goin to this place for a long time cuz the food is amazing here! Best price for the quantity that you get. FYI a small fry is enough to feed 2. I hope you enjoy one of the best burger shops out there as much as I do!

Tho a lot of ppl like their portions I personally think it's way too much. Who needs 3 slabs of pork and 3 patties of beef on top of large cut onion and tomoayoe slices. The taste is delicious but I feel it's too greasy and huge I can't even bite it to enjoy it. Which is a shame cause when I take down some of this tower the burger and fries are super delicious. I recommend getting one meal and grabbing some buns. U can split one huge budget between 2 -3 ppl so I guess there's an upside to all the food. But I feel they are trying to make up for something or hide something idk
