This location is really good spot and specially Kumar is the go to person. The way he handles is really amazing and very accommodating. I have been visiting this location for a while now and writing this review based on the service provided. I rented for this long weekend and he assisted me very well and really happy. Thanks Kumar for all the help! Will definitely come back.

Excellent service! Helped me with booking to the wrong location. Unfortunately I don't give 5 stars as they don't have car seats available and therefore I had to cancel my reservation. Stay as a suggestion! They helped us by giving us a very precious ride, we were grateful. I recommend the service, but take your baby chair if you have children!

I've rented from here numerous times (probably 10-15 at this point) and have had nothing but positive experiences! The staff is always friendly and professional, and the cars have always been super clean and in excellent condition. This location also has a key-drop so you can bring the car back after hours, which is great.

Cheap car hire, but you get what you pay for. Cars aren't pristine, but the rental charges reflect that. Wouldn't take 3rd party CDW insurance, so we had to buy theirs at $30 a day. Changed the car for another after the first day as the initial car was making odd noises. Had the feeling that they knew it was defective as they didn't take the car out to confirm the issues. On the whole, we were happy, as the price paid reflected the service received.

Staff are great, just rented a Kia easy pickup and return. Good location and always have good vehicles to choose from!

I’ve been using Advantage for over two years. I used them throughout Covid and never had a bad experience until today…
Their management and head office were so unwilling to help and empathize with my situation. In the past, I have used a debit card which has functioned as a credit card with no issues. I’ve never been late, always dropped off on time and never gotten any tickets or into accidents touch on wood.

All of a sudden, this is now an issue. And despite calling many times in advance to confirm this wasn’t an issue, this changed ironically on the day I showed up for my reservation.

I have to drive uptown today and even let them know I would pay cash, but no dice or empathy from anyone there to help me out.
Thank god for Enterprise because otherwise I have no idea what I would have done.

Needless to say, never going to use Advantage again.

I was super stressed returning the car as we’d been stuck in traffic and didn’t make it back for closing time (despite leaving in plenty of time to get back).

You hear so many horror stories about car rental companies ripping off customers when they drop the car back out of hours but not these guys, shortly after opening the next day I had the closing rental agreement sent through with no issues at all.

When I am next in Toronto, if I want a car, I will 100% be getting one from these guys.

Got a same day rental at a great price. Would definitely go back and would highly recommend. Staff is top notch too. Shout out to Frank from the Danforth and Victoria Park

Booked a car and schedule to pick up. Then when I get there it did not go into their system. And I have to wait for a couple hours. What a lame system.

This is the best car rental spot in the city. They are well priced, reliable, friendly and the cars are always excellent. I've rented from here over 50 times and I've never been dissatisfied. Other places like Thrifty/Dollar/Hertz will cancel last minute; this never happens at Advantage.
Look no further, this is the place.

We recently rented a minivan at this location. Right from when we were lining up the vehicle to picking it up and dropping it off. Customer service at this location is very impressive. Excellent experience for our family. Would highly recommend this company!

The advantage car rental on Queen street is an excellent location to rent very recent year vehicles. The vehicles are sanitized and cleaned well. Also, the staff members are very friendly especially Dhanush. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to rent latest vehicles at an affordable price.

Okay service. Vehicle was rather dirty and the company requested rather invasive personal information for their rental.

Unrivaled service, price, and value. Special shout out to Sai (the store manager, I hope Management is giving him equity) who has moved mountains for me to get the vehicle I need on a short notice. I've been using Advantage for over a year and haven't looked back since.

Very reasonable rates compared to other companies, great service, and appreciated the recommendation for a different vehicle. Will be back!

Stay away from the Esplanade location. They are the worst. Really the absolute worst. When you go pick up your car it will be a small miracle if they are actually there. Doesn't matter if you go in the day before and tell them when you're coming in, doesn't matter if you picked a time online, doesn't matter if they call you 20 minutes before you suppose to be there. They won't be there when you show up as has been my experience 4 x the past two months. They suck. That is all.

Edit: despite my previous review, they are still the most affordable place in town, and I've never had an issue with bookings/cancellations, still my go to for car rentals!

I'll go over the pros and cons of my most recent booking experience:
Pros: affordable, car seemed clean on the inside and in good driving condition.
Cons: -I booked my vehicle a few days in advance for an 8am pick-up, as their website advertises. When I got to the place, they had a sign saying they don't open until 9am due to covid. Understandable, however, nobody called me or emailed me to let me know, and they had adequate time to do so.
Cons: -This was my first time booking with them so I brought my drivers license, of course. When I got there, they told me they required another piece of ID that proved my address. This was stressful and frustrating going through old emails to find a phone bill or something, and then I had to email them my personal statement. Nobody let me know this needed to happen before hand in a clear, transparent way.

Great service from Dhaanush! He was veery professional and transparent with the entire process of renting a vehicle. I would definitely return and would hope to deal with him again.

Rented a 2020 Honda Civic and enjoyed a day trip to Niagara Falls with the family. Sai was very helpful and even offered to drive us back to our hotel. All the best Sai. Thanks!

It was amazing place to get the cheapest and most recent year car for rent they have almost never car for rent and the customer service was fantastic and the way great their customer's is fabulous.

These guys are awesome! They're always friendly, polite, and easy going.

Such a great spot! I had a car rented for this previous weekend (Sat-Mon) and with really short notice needed it for a few extra days (Wed-Mon). They gave me an awesome deal with adding the extra days and it were super flexible. Highly recommend!

I have had a pleasant experience with this car rental company. First of all, their prices are very reasonable. Then, they provided a very clean car with all amenities fully functional. They are upfront and straightforward with the bills. The gentleman working here is very nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for your future car rentals.

I've rented from here a couple times and the service and the price has been great except for my last experience. I reserved a car for 11: 30 am and the night before I got a text at 10 pm saying that the car wouldn't be available until "around 4pm" this was far out of the time frame that I needed it for and I was left completely without a car and little options to find a substitute. I reserved well in advance. My trip was completely ruined. Extremely disappointed and there's no way I'll risk renting from here again.

Not a great day when you arrive and are told that your "confirmed online cargo van reservation" was cancelled, the same day you reserved. I was told they called me to tell me that they did NOT have a cargo van, but NO, I was not called. Thank God for Affinity luxury car rentals, on Dibble St. They saved our a**, when they provided one for us!

Fantastic service! And value Unlike the big names, the base vehicles Advantage Car Rental offers is a compact (Civic, Corolla, Golf, etc), which is a lot more comfortable for long journeys than sub-compacts. Pricing is also very competitive.

The staff has always been super helpful and accommodative (special shout out to Sai). I have been a customer for over 2 years and will continue to choose Advantage.

This was so fast and easy and much cheaper than the other quotes. Monday to Friday in a nice new Jetta was $180 all in. Nice people too. Right around the corner from a gas station to fill up at the end. Will definitely use again.

No advantage to renting with Advantage Car & Truck Rental: I booked a cargo van 4 weeks ago with Advantage. Spoke to the rental agent. Reserved a cargo van for this weekend. I got a call today saying that they only had two vans. One is in the shop and the other one was extended into the weekend by the person who has it now. So Advantage allowed someone to override my reservation three days out rather than honouring the booking I made 4 weeks ago. Do not book with Advantage if you want to be sure you're actually going to get the vehicle you booked. They won't honour your booking and they won't make it right. They'll screw you over and not care what it does to you. Pathetic. (For the record, this is the second time I tried booking with Advantage and got screwed. The first time was a booking I successfully made on their website for Labour Day weekend. I got a confirmation email securing the booking. Three days later, I got a call saying the website shouldn't have allowed the booking. They had actually had no cargo vans available even though the website said they did and I was able to book one online.) I should also note that when I booked this time for a Saturday 8 am pick-up, and could have dropped it off by 7 pm, they said I'd have to pay for the whole weekend and drop it off Monday morning because they're not open again until Monday morning. I will never book with Advantage again and highly recommend you don't either. You will only be disappointed.

Had a very pleasant experience. Tried to rent a car on a busy weekend, walked in to the store at 4: 30pm and the staff managed to hook me up with a car. Hoping to rent again. Cars were properly sanitized and family was happy about it

Very good pickup point for car. Reasonable price compared to other corporates and good service from Sai and team. It was my first time to hire from them and would definitely hire whenever I visit Toronto. BTW only place to get 8 seater in downtown. Do check it out.

After the Uhaul down the street bailed on my reservation, I was in a pinch to find a vehicle rental service and came across Advantage Car on Queen East. They were extremely accommodating, helpful, and friendly. They went above and beyond and I couldn't be more thankful. I'd highly recommend this location!

Best car rental experience I've had. The location manager Sai was exceptionally nice and extremely helpful, and the staff as a whole was very friendly. My vehicle was cleaned and examined properly and I was given a copy of the inspection (usually I have to ask or take a photo). As someone who rents quite a bit, I cannot give this location a higher recommendation.

I was running late for interview in Guelph, ON. I called the location to check availability. At the time I arrived, everything was ready. I spent couple of minutes giving my details and I already hit the road.

This was my first time renting from Advantage and it was worth travelling all the way from Parkdale for the great rate that I got. There was an issue with the type of vehicle I'd selected not being available but the manager was very accomodating in finding a replacement and giving a generous discount to compensate.

Great group of gentlemen who work here - very helpful and polite. They also gave me a great price on the cargo van that I needed for my last minute move. Never used them before but would definitely use Advantage again!
