We met Jay back in March of 2023. I had approached him regarding finding a home for my son and daughter to purchase.
My son and I first met him through a ZOOM meeting. We loved his enthusiasm and desire to help my two children buy a house.
This was the first home my children would be purchasing. They were a bit unsure as to the process.
Jay set up some home viewings for Nathan and Raquel to see. It was a bit slow because Nathan and Raquel have busy lives. They both work full-time and have two large dogs that they have to get home and walk after work. Jay was wonderful and accommodated our schedule. The search was wide since Nathan and Raquel were first-time home buyers who had a limited budget to work with. Jay kept within their budget, which really encouraged Nathan and Raquel. The other hurdle was that Nathan and Raquel were purchasing the house together, so the setup of the house needed to be conducive to both of them having separate areas for living as well as taking into consideration the two large dogs.
My mom died on April 5, and the house viewing stopped for a while. It was a difficult and sad time for us. Jay was wonderful and did not get frustrated with us stopping the search. He was very sympathetic regarding my mom’s passing.
It was a long journey, but Jay guided Nathan and Raquel from beginning to end, Nathan and Raquel put in an offer to purchase 30 Southwood Court, which was denied. Once the sellers reviewed the offers they received, they contacted Jay, who contacted Nathan and Raquel. The sellers accepted Nathan’s and Raquel’s offer. The next few weeks spiraled. It was a busy time. Being first-time home buyers Nathan and Raquel were not aware of the process of buying a house. Jay was there the whole time to guide them, from writing a letter to sellers to putting an offer on the house, to accepting the offer, to getting possession of the house. Jay helped with helping them find an inspector to inspect the house, which was older, finding a lawyer who was modest with their fees, and even dealing with sellers regarding our concerns. I forgot to mention that being the mother of Nathan and Raquel, who were first-time homeowners, he didn’t once make me feel stupid or as if I was meddling. He kept in communication with the three of us and took all our concerns seriously and in stride.
Nathan and Raquel are now the owners of 30 Southwood Court. Thank you, Jay, for making this happen for them. Thank you for all your help and guidance throughout the whole journey.
