Afghan Kabob

It was the first time we went there. The place was very disgusted and the customer service deserves zero stars. No one was there to get the order. After placing an order the rude lady who was the manager said your order is not enough and you should order more which did not make sense for the mother and 5 years child (we ordered a kebab and chicken shish), later on we asked for a carrot on top of tasteless rice and she said it's too expensive and you have to pay more however at the beginning of ordering she said I will add carrot to your chosen rice. They are scammers and don't accept credit. The kebab was very cold and tasteless too. Please please don't go there and save yourself and your money.

They charge more than the regular price and size of their kababs are small as compare to other Famous Afghani restaurant

Great food with terrible staff. We loved the food but did not enjoy the environment. They write a number of unpleasant things on the wall such as "Leave as soon as you eat" etc. Looks like they still think that they are still in their own country that the restaurant believes that they are doing a favor to provide food for the customers.again! No doubt about the quality of the food. Perfect taste.

The food was of course delicious. Clean environment, nice design.
In a short time food for 14 people was ready.

Nothing special about this place n. 0 skills with costumers, food is 3/5. Pay in advance before you eat. You will walk in there only once, so Don’t bother

Me and my sister went here for the very first time and it was the worst experience ever. The food wasn't bad but the lady that works there was extremely rude and seemed very bossy. She has no customer service what so ever. She was yelling and telling people to wait outside for their food and not to wait inside. We took take out and we decided to change our mind and stay in and eat our food, when I went to go ask them, she said too bad you can't stay. Then the man that was making the food said it's ok, its not an issue we'll bring you the food. She gave us a dirty look and walked away.

The food was very fresh and delicious, especially the Kofta Kebabs. The Naan were also really fresh hot and perfect. The environment is very cozy especially the traditional raised sitting area.

My husband and I had a wonderful dining experience at this hole-in-the-wall, obviously authentic Afghan cuisine. The tea tasted right, so did the rice, spices, but best of all was the meat. Everything was perfectly cooked & beautiful. The white sauce was a chef’s kiss! Everyone there was very friendly to us & service was fast. Can’t wait to go back!

The goods:
Older gentlemen seemed nice and polite.
Kabob tasted ok, not bad, not great, but definitely edible.
Although tiny, it looks nice because of the decorations.

The bad:
Portioning. I felt ripped off honestly. For $25 I got less than the quantity of what a single person would eat. And I'm usually stuffed after eating Bamiyan kabob single order for example.

Hot sauce was mainly water. Sauce tasted horrible. Afghan hot sauce is usually my favorite part about their food.

Salad was not fresh. Dressing felt like it was diluted with water.

Rice is super bland, not authentic afghan taste like bamiyans for example.

Won't return. They just don't care. They don't realize that if they served proper food in good quantity, same people would come more often. They bank on having ONE TIME customers who are tourists.

Unfortunately, the worst restaurant without flavour, and the quantity is very small compared to the price. I was staying at the hotel and wanted to order two meals. The price was expensive, it was $60 with tax. I expected that there would be a sauce or naan bread, a flavourless meal.leaving us confused if Naan came with our 60$ meal or if we had to pay extra.so we declined but the meal was prepared. The kebab was very dry and the rice was burnt. I waited for 40 A minute for the order to arrive, and the order arrived without spoons and forks ‍️ I had to rate less than a star if there was one Never will we return to Afghan again!

SUCH A WONDERFUL PLACE TO EAT AFGHAN FOOD! THIS HAS TO BE A DREAM FOR EVERY AFGHAN CUISINE LOVER! THEIR NAAN IS JUST ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING! BEST NAAN EVER IN MY LIFE IS WHAT I ATE IN THIS SMALL RESTAURANT. THEIR FOOD IS GREAT, EVERYTHING AND EVERYTHING! WE JUST VISITED NIAGARA FALLS TWO DAYS AGO, I WISH WE ATE HERE THOUGH!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO GIVE IT A TRY, BUT KEEP COMING HERE NIAGARA FALLS VISITERS. Remember restaurant might be small and not made for huge families, so most of you all might just wanna take away food instead of dine in. Good luck!

VERY, VERY BAD.
I love Afghani food it's one of my favorite. I ate at this restaurant about 5 years ago & it was amazing. But this time I was very disappointed.
1. The food was very without spice. Even the rice was just normal white rice & not Afghani rice.
2. The amount of food given was very small. We got the family special which is for 3 people not 4 people. IE. Even in the family special for 3 people we got 2 habobs.
We added a 4th dish because we were 4. BUT, then the amount of food that we got would have been equivalent to what is normally given for 2 people in most Afghanistan restaurants I have eaten in.
4. In fact we stopped at a fast food restaurant after because we were still hungry.
5. I wanted my son & daughter in law to have a good 1st time experience, It was not. I would never eat there again.
6. & on the way out, we were challenged for free parking by somebody who approached us very angry, that we had not paid for our parking. BUT I had asked before we ate where was the free parking, for the restaurant & I did as I was told.
. NOT GREAT!

Food was good specially kabuli rice the meat in it was sooo good and tender. The family platter was also good.

Raw and dry kebabs. When confronted, owner was rude and mean. Also asked us to go to the nearby ATM to bring cash. Did not accept debit/credit

I had a dinner with my family today few hours ago. It was very good experience. If someone is looking for Kababs of Afghan taste, this is the best place at Niagara Falls. We had Chappal Kabab, Shami Kabab and Chicken Kabab with Basmati rice and Salads. All were highly delicious. Though the place is not an amusement place, yet it’s a very good eatery.

We dine there few days ago while visiting the falls and I wish we didn't, food tastes good but the restaurant has very weird rules, first: you only allowed to order once and it doesn't matter how big your group is, we were five and the owner warned us that I better think of all our needs now since he is not going to do anything else for us after the first order. One of my kids wanted more food but I didn't dare to ask since the man was very serious second: you only allowed 30 minutes dining after food serve no matter what, yes, there are signs everywhere telling you that, we had to eat while timing our self, didn't enjoy the food and we felt like unwanted guests even though we paid alot of money there, will never eat there again even if it was free.

Mixed up my order charged me way to expensive, and to be honest i couldn’t eat the food please don’t waste your money.

The chicken was raw. The portions are really small. And the staff are really rude and disrespectful. Its over priced. It’s not worth it.

I really wanted to like this place but the staff were really rude and disrespectful. The portions are really small. Limited menu that’s overpriced. Chicken was raw, lamb was bland, only the beef was good. Menu said the plate comes naan, and when we asked he said “read again”. This place is only here because the location is good, otherwise they would’ve been out of business.

Went there with a group of 12 people in total and the host was super unwelcoming. The restaurant is super small and it was pretty empty on that Friday evening. The food wasn’t good either. It was average. But the way the host treated us (said we couldn’t order twice, get the drinks yourself etc) I would definitely NOT recommend anyone to come this far for halal food. It is NOT worth it. There were so many cool restaurants on the way, nearer to the Clifton hill strip, we’d 100% have better service in those if we went there. The price was totally absurd and unjustified for the value we got.

Food was great, owner was so kind and I am giving 5 star to this place. It's a little bit small but great food. I would never understand negative comments here, so pass them and have a great lunch here.

I visited this restaurant today with my friend today. We had the worst food ever… we both felt sick right after having food at this restaurant. We had to go to walk in on our way back to Toronto.
We told the restaurant owner/server the the meat is rotten. She did not only disagree but she got defensive and said “my meat is always fresh”. We asked her to taste is but she said she was fasting and can’t taste. More than that, the service is extremely poor.
I never recommend this restaurant to anyone, because it’s of the poor food hygiene, I’ll mannered service, and unhealthy food.
If you love your health and time, don’t visit this restaurant.

I visited this restaurant today. I had the worst experience ever. I got sick right after we left because the food was non hygienic. The server who was a lady was extremely unprofessional. She was rude when we complained about the food that was old and the meat was rotten. She got angry instead of apologizing or trying to resolve the issue. This restaurant does not represent Afghan food and/or Afghan culture. We are extremely hospitable people and we value our guests and their opinions. Being a responsible citizen, i am writing this review so other people do not experience that we did today.

This restaurant is one of the best in class of Afghan, Iranian/Persian Kabab.with seven years in service I should say:
Fresh bread bake in place was amazing.chicken Kabab and Kobideh was outstanding,
Rice is the best! Absolutely home made!
Place was really clean
My family and I really enjoy the food.

I just had the Lamb Kabli Palaw, and it was amazing! Fresh, tender, a wonderful mix of flavours, with a spicy chutney and a rice side with raisins and sweet carrots on top. The portion was quite large too!

The owners here are super friendly too. I will definitely return next time I visit Niagara Falls!

The food was very tasty. We ordered sultani platter with rice and chapli kabab platter with a naan for 46$ which was very expensive. Very fresh food and tasty. The only problem was the portion which was very very less. The naan was too small in shape of small roti. We had to eat something else after having lunch from there. I think the owner of the restaurant doesn’t read the reviews otherwise he will take care after it.

Bad manner guy "THE MAN WHO IS COOKING", does not respect family specifically with ladies, he has a very bad eyes. And the food was old and taste was not Afghan. I Don't recommend.

Food is regular, nothing special, halal.
They have a rule to eat and out within 30 minutes of serving.
Not kids friendly at all.
We three families went with three kids and we can feel they dont want us to be there.
They were rude, as we stayed 7 minutes more than 30.

The food was OK, The meat was slightly over done. The rice was good but lacked the Kabul style carrots and raisins. The lettuce salad was fresh and pretty good. We took the family platter and I think the quantity and price didn't sit well, I paid almost 60$. The 4 skewers size were pretty underwhelming for the price. Though loads of rice and a decent salad serving. But really would I pay 60$ again hmmmm. Maybe not.

As an Afghan I found the food to be authentic and delicious. It's nice to see a mom and pa set up in a place like Niagara. I'll definitely come again when I visit the falls!

Average food…. Terrible customer service…. We went there with highly rated reviews but I guess either people have very poor taste or don’t have slightest idea how to rate food…. They need to work on their customer service skills as we witnessed them behaving very badly with another family which lead us to leave their place right away.

They have very awful food, our food was so cold and seemed to be from a week ago. I would even give them ziro star if I could.

Food is fine but it's a bit overpriced. Maybe it's the location.

They charge you additionally if you pay by card. Furthermore, they don't accept card when you do small transactions (paid for the meals in advance, then went for a drink when they refused to use my card).

Visited this place about 2 weeks ago. Overpriced food which was not even worth it. I asked them to substitute certain kabab with another one and they said they won't. The lady is very rude and unprofessional. Wouldn't recommend this place.

We went few days ago, the lady was extremely rude, food over priced and their kabab was so hard couldn't even chew. We all got sick from it. Very unprofessional, they don't represent afghan resturant and the way afghan way of hospitality.

Very friendly team, hospitality and really delicious. We were looking for good food after a day of eating junk. We ordered Lamb, shami Kabab and sultani. They were all great.

I loved food. We got three different plates, each of them was more delicious than the other. Also they have naan bread that comes out of the oven fresh. Also staff is so nice and helpful. The only negative comment i have that the place is a little bit small. Thanks

Food was good, but very expensive. $45 for my wife and I to eat the chicken and sultani kabob meals. I guess it's a tourist area, but certainly way over priced!

I have experienced every Afghan restaurant in GTA and all of them give naan with rice meals also but this was the first restaurant that did not provide naan with meal. Taste was ok, salad can be better.

I spent 3 days in niagara, i tried all type of halal restaurant and this was the favorite one, good food, good service, i will come again

I walked in with my family to dine in an hour ago and the restaurant was extremely small and smelled like a meat shop, So we decided to leave, the owner had no sense of customer service and was very rude to us. He tried to tell us not to touch the tables and warn us about covid-19 but he was not even wearing a mask.his food way over priced. I will not recommend this establishment to family, friends or anybody in the future.
There are over 10 halal restaurant in Niagara Falls much bigger and excellent service like Casablanca or Osmosis which we order take out well recommend to anyone.

Excellent kabobs. The rice is also sublime. Only criticism is that they should give a little extra meat as the platter is not quite enough if you are hungry.

The customer service at this place is ZERO star because the owner is extremely rude and arrogant person. He doesn’t know how to respect his customers and is extremely unapologetic.
We placed the order for food and the food was good except that the iceberg on one of the dishes was bad (rotten) and one naan (bread) was burnt. When we politely brought it to owner’s attention, he became offended and refused to serve us the rest of our order. We ate our food and left the restaurant.
I reminded the owner that bad reviews are not good for his business but that guy doesn’t know the power of customers, I guess he would learn his lesson the hard way.

It is better to die of starvation than to visit Afghan Kabob in Niagara Falls. For starters, when I asked him as to where his "Halal" meat came from. He started claiming that we were blind and that we didn't see his sign which said the restaurant was halal. Thats not customer service at all. Calling your customers blind, cause they questioned where you get your meat from is rude and disgusting. After that he said to us in a rude and abrupt manner, yelling that his food was haram. So we asked him why are you talking in such a rude manner and he just started making an angry face at us. At that moment, we were about to leave his restaurant. He then finally fulfilled his obligation of telling us where he got his meat from and claimed it was from Sargent Farms. Anyways we were about to leave and walk to Paramount instead, but because we had extended family with us who were kind of tired already. We decided to stay and try this crooks food. So for 74.99 the owner gave us his family special and 3 wraps (they were so small), which can hardly serve 3 so how was it gonna serve 10 people! Anyways once the food came, they were such small servings for so much. When it came to the Naan, it wasn't even Afghan Naan. The owner gave us Pakistani Naans even though this is supposed to be a restaurant serving Afghan cuisine. The Salad was at least 1 month old. The kababs were extremely sour and the rice were decent. He told us that the food he made wouldn't be able to serve 10 people. Then we told him Yeah its cause your food is so expensive and your servings are so small. Instead of admitting that, he said to us Welcome to Niagara Falls. I've had way better Afghan food at other places in Ontario. This place is not even at the standard level for Afghan food.

Food was really good. Owner is sweet as well. Naan was a little dry but the kabob and rice was great!

The lamb shank was amazing! The owners are very friendly freshly made naan, and all the meat was halal, which is healthier. We'll be coming back for sure

We visited here on a hot day in June. With two small kids and after having walked several miles, we were looking for a nice, clean place.a place to freshen up, have a nice home-cooked meal, and a corner to pray. The establishment was very cozy, and we felt like guests in someone's private home. The owner was kind and approachable, and the restaurant itself was spotless - very clean from top to bottom. They let us pray in a secluded corner, served food that was cooked hot and fresh - and was as tasty as we were hoping! We left ready to enjoy the rest of the day, and had a great time during our short visit. Highly recommended. Five stars hands down. Thanks, Afghan Kabob! We hope to visit you again.

The worst place to eat and worst customer service. I went to this afghan place with my family. When our food arrived, we waited 10 minutes to get cutlery. I let this one go. We decided to order takeout, we were advised that we should have ordered everything at once and cant order again. With type of policy is that. We have a 4 yr old and 18 months old. Were were old that families with kids should be at home. I will not recommend this place and I will never eat again here

Very Rude these people need to learn customer service clearly ripping off good customer service goes a long way non of my family or friends will visit this place again.

Very rude lady made us wait 15 mins for a table then let other people go ahead of us and gave them the table and starts to take their order I did not make a fuss of it then when I go to order she starts to tell me four platter won't be enough for 5 people the 5th person was my 6 yr old nephew I told her he is not going to eat she tells me he can't sit here then really lady this what you do to your customers so am I suppose to let him wander on the streets all alone when a table has 5 chairs these people need to get some training on customer service.

It was such an amazing experience.the food was fresh and hot.the kebabs were juicey and tender.grilled freshly.the naan (bread) were so hot tastey and fluffy.the staff were so kind and friendly.they served us fresh tastey food within 10 yo 15 minutes.a pakistani family came.the owner told them to come and place thier order they didn't listen and instead started to shout on the staff.whom were so humble and kind didn't say anything.
I recommend everyone to come and visit this restaurant.its tastey and reasonable.and not to forget it's fresh good.

Behaviour of Salman was roud and arrogant, he was cleaning plates with a dirty cloth on his shoulder & very unhygienic place. Food was not good even horrible, don't know how to behave with customers. They are cheating on the name of Afghani food. Also rates are very high. We have already complaint to the food inspector. Very bad experience.

Prices are on higher end, portions are small, attitude of owner is very bad. Going there is daylight robbery and felt cheated owner charges $1 for credit card fees, there are no glasses even plastic ones with excuse that this Naigra very expansive place and it's as per rule. Tough no one any where else in Naigra charged any extra fees for credit card. Also be aware owner charges one us dollar to 1 Canadian dollar what a reap off and thief sort of mentally. I just love Afghan food and this was my worst experience ever going to an Afghani restaurant.

Wouldn't allow us to add to the order while we were eating, as it would take time and he would loose customers, left me speechless.
And on top over charged just like that.
