Please do not ever try this place unless you’re dying out of hunger and you have no where else to go! Their food and service were equally horrible. We ordered three of their mains and the food was bland, lacked seasoning and was extremely dry. The rice was basically tasteless. They took way too long to serve in spite of us being the ONLY customers there. Once we were done eating we rang the bell multiple times to call for the bill, the waitress didn’t respond at all, and one of us had to go to the front desk and ask her for the bill. Finally, when we were paying the bill, the POS machine failed to read almost all of our cards even after trying out with multiple cards, several times. Due to all the inconveniences, one of us had to pay with cash.
I can't tell you about the food because we waited 15 minutes and no one came to take our other. This was on Monday at 7PM and unfortunately there is always people smoking cigarettes so be ready for the blue cloud of second hand smoke on your way in.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. The injera was quite tasty. The dishes, especially the fried fish could have used some salt. Other than that there's no complaint with any of the food we tried. It was a bit of a wait for the food to arrive, but that wasn't really a problem. The wait was worth it.
I’ve lived in the area for years and never tried this place. I decided to try it and let me tell you this place is fantastic! I ordered the African platter because I just wanted to try a bit of everything. I told them I didn’t want the dullet though cause I’m not a fan of liver so they just gave me a bit extra of everything else. The food was phenomenal! It was so flavourful! Even my picky 7 year old tried everything and liked it. Definitely going back! It’s definitely one of my top places for delicious food. And the prices are great!
Delicious food! Hidden gem in Toronto. It’s the first time I try African food and I loved it! The taste is really good, the way to eat is a new experience. It’s a local restaurant and you can learn from the staff, who are also really friendly. The prices are affordable. Definitely a must if you come to Toronto!
Finally got a place where they serve halal african food, and loved their anjera (it was more like the Indian dosa). Going back to this place for more items
Had the pleasure of visiting this authentic Ethiopian restaurant last night! It’s like a hidden gem! A lot of options to choose from! I absolutely enjoyed their food! As good as it looked, it tasted equally good! Must try their veg & non veg platters, fish Tilapia, okra w meat, lamb and authentic ethiopian coffee.
This restaurant serves up authentic Ethiopian food. The menu has pictures so it’s easy to see what you’re getting exactly. Everything served is pipping hot and delicious. They can host large groups too. All the food has lots of colour.
What a great spot for amazing Eritrean food. They have such a great variety of vegetable dishes and meat dishes. My favourite was the lamb. And the beef and okra The injera is also amazing and is perfect with every dish. Make sure you check them out
We have been to this restaurant thrice and that speaks for itself, the food is amazing, the service is good and the owners are so nice too. Highly recommend this place.
I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant with my fellow food bloggers. We received hospitable service and the food was delicious. It was our first time trying Ethiopian food and we enjoyed every bite. Highly recommend the vegetarian platter and the milk tea.
A true hidden gem. The food is absolutely delicious. It was our first time trying African cuisine and to our surprise, they had plenty of vegetarian options along with a meat variety.
The service is very warm and welcoming. Highly recommend.
