Ajio Sushi Korean & Japanese Restaurant

Honestly? This place, in my opinion, beats any all you can eat sushi restaurants in Hamilton. The staff is so attentive, and friendly. The food is delicious and fresh and the prices are actually reasonable. My only wish is that there was a location on my mountain!

GREAT cozy place and atmosphere (ie.a date or late nite hang out). *Especially after 10pm on a tuesday when everything else is closed in that area.
I only ordered the Udon noodles with beef. Great flavour, and presentation, but a bit pricey for just single serving of thick noodles, with 2 bites of broccoli florets and a 2 small slices of beef =$16 (+tax).
I suppose you are paying the same prices from a menu that's for the dining service, atmosphere, extras, etc. I could see how sharing dishes would make the variety and prices more reasonable. I also understand how sharing different dishes affords more variety, and therefore the prices more reasonable. It's a small place but very inviting. It was really busy with diners and takeout. Staff was friendly, very polite, helpful and thorough. I also watched the dining interactions while waiting for my takeout. I will definitely be back to try more deliciousness I saw being served up to other patrons. The (? Korean) steak, and their rice looked so inciting that I am already planning for my next visit!

Best Korean food and a must try! The service is always really good and the portions are bigger than other Korean restaurants I've been too.

Just went there, to five them another try. I've had Japanese at other places.
I just got in, 10: 10pm and they tell me they are closing but on their website says 12 midnight.
Never again. There are many great Sushi places in Hamilton now
2021 review:
Waited 30 minutes for a table.
When they had one available, at 9: 09pm, the male server tells me; "we close at 10 so you have to hurry up, scan the menu and I'll be back to take your order".
I always have a hard time scanning the menu, so I went online to see what I wanted to order.
I actually got up at 9: 17, because neither one of the servers would come back to me and I don't like to eat in a rush.
Food is ok, I have eaten better

We ordered the bento meal. It comes with miso soup, congee, and salad (a very generous complimentary!) The ambiance is a bit dark but the food is AMAZING! We tried the bento meal. Large serving, great price. Superb service as well. I highly recommend the Unagi bento. I will try the korean dish next time we go there.

A bit cramped but food was amazing. Came out hot and boiling with plentiful of flavours. Nice to start of with free small appetizers and servers where very friendly. A must have for anyone that loves Asian cuisine and dining.

I felt a mother's cooking. Very authentic Korean food places. Highly recommend it. This is a hidden and humble treasure one has to uncover.

This is the place to be if you want good bento boxes. Their spicy mayo banana sushi threw us off completely. Genius! Good amount of vegetarian options but wish there were more

Been going here for 2 years now and they’ve never disappointed me ever. The food is always so good and I get really good service from everyone.
Although, it is a small restaurant, I would totally try it out. You can also order online and it’s really affordable. Love this place!

Amazing food, the freshest sushi I've had in Hamilton. Service was phenomenal, very nice staff. Everything was reasonably priced, will absolutely be back again!

Stopped in here from out of town, Aijo special was well priced, great food and lots of it! Loved every bit of it highly recommended.

Everything is seriously good! I mean WOW! Tha mango rum cocktail out of this world! Must go if going to Hamilton.

Always enjoy coming here! I usually just get the veggie bento, and it's always very tasty with a good assortment of items. The price of the veggie bento is great and you always leave feeling full! We got a little side salad and congee, I am unsure if those come with it or if it is a starter for every guest, but it's perfect! The service is okay, we did come in a bit close to closing so we waited quite a while before being seated after the empty tables were cleaned. Still very grateful that we were still served!

Good selection of food! You can choose between Japanese or Korean cuisine or have a bit of both. The sushi was made fresh. Spicy salmon roll, actually spicy. We got the Su-15 sushi boat and gaang bo gi chicken for 3 people.

Great, quiet sushi spot. Have been going here with my girlfriend for a while now and it’s always above expectation. Old school/ traditional vibes and the food is ALWAYS quick and delicious. Prices are very fair and you can get 5% off your bill if paying by cash.

Good quality and taste for the price you pay. This place quite literally embodies the phrase “more bang for your buck”. Hope it stays that way.

This place serve the best sushi and sashimi in Hamilton. The quality is superb. Very hard to get a table but when I get one I keep going with these nice dishes. I prefer sashimi always and this place is not all you can eat. This is a quality place with high standards. If you are into cheap sushi then please find somewhere else

Drove 30 minutes to try this out and it was 100% worth it. Great portions and everything was so fresh and delicious. Every dish that came out for other people’s tables made me want to order more. Service by the waiters was also exceptional. I highly recommend this place.
