Here you can mix your ramen’s broth base with any of the meat options. Overall, the ramen tasted great but portions were smaller than what we expected. I had the mignon beef - very tender & tasty!
Also, it was quite uncomfortable sitting on the black couches as they kept moving back and forth (any movement customers on the other side would make, would shake our seat).
Respects for the sign on the door “Praise the Lord”.
Got also a take-out from here - and I would say I liked the in-person experience better in terms of quality of food. Can’t tell if that’s because of the temperature of the broth or something else but there was a difference. That said, our order was complete and packed all with care correctly.
I just had lunch there and it was really good. I had the spicy beef ramen which tasted great, perfectly spicy with szechuan peppers. Service was also really nice, and my food came out super quick. Highly recommend for a quick lunch in the area!
Rude owner/manager no ethics. 0% customer service. Im generous tip giver and usually spends here $25/meal per person but last night July 14 Friday my husband & i walk out on this place. They obviously have space in the middle and other left of the restaurant but they do their best to squeeze you in a very awkward position in the right side of the restaurant where all the customers are eating. They tried to squeeze us in in a both group of people. I said its very uncomfortable so they give as a single table on the middle not allowing to use the other table where our belongings and my outside drink can rest that leaves us in a tight position no space to chill. Manager/owner says it will be very busy not allowed to use spaces while literally the restaurant is only 10% full the rest of 90% of space is vacant. Greedy as its best. You anticipate bunch of people coming into your place but not respecting appreciating the ones who are already in. Giving 1 star for the company’s ajisen food and praise the Lord sign door on this location. The rest is garbage. 0.0000000% customer service.
The food was yummy, friendly and nice people, but I had the pork cutlet ramen which tasted good, but looked a bit translucent with my friends’ chicken kaarage being pink in the middle which made my friends and I ill. But nice atmosphere and walls and staff
Ajisen Ramen, a Japan-based fast food restaurant chain that serves Japanese dishes, mainly ramen soups. The dinner was really excellent, both in terms of what we tasted and the service received from the staff. Always found full of people we chose to try it too and I must say it was a great choice. Modest prices but generous and tasty portions. Recommended for a quiet dinner or a moment of relaxation from the monotonous city life.
Arrived on 14Jun2023 at 1138h. Stopped at the door by who I believe is the owner and informed that I would not be served. She then peered at the kitchen to see that the staff had not yet started turning down, so said I could get takeout, but last call and I have two minutes to order as takeout only.
She starts talking to the servers in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese to start turning down and clean up.
Posted time for closing is midnight and as a single diner who is hungry and coming off of a 16 hour in hospital on call.not going to take more than 5 minutes to eat.
So I order take out since I have no choice to dine in, even though there's about 10 other diners slowly chatting away.
I pay the 14.99$ + tax.
I go outside and sit in the 9 degree Celsius weather in short sleeve scrubs and pop the ramen open to find there is what looks like a half portion of ramen with 50% bean sprouts.
I close the container and go back inside to inquire why my portion is tiny and packed with bean sprouts as fluff?
She says it is a standard portion. See the picture. Only half this tiny takeout container is food. Half of that is bean sprouts, so the noodles are almost non-existent.
Without a choice. I scarf down my 15$ bean sprouts in the cold and go home.
I get the worst gastro and am literally leaking water out from below all night. I am writing this on my toilet now as I continue my deep involuntary cleanse of my entire GI system.
At least I'll look skinny when this gastro ends?
Please avoid. The bean sprouts definitely did me in and were not washed proper.
First time trying this restaurant. I had the Spicy chicken Ramen, which tasted great! The food was on point.
The food came out quite quickly as well after I ordered.
The only drawback was the service. The staff spent more time staring wt their cellphones than they did doing their jobs. The staff needs training on how to greet guests, seat them, and provide decent service.
Note to the owner: Not a good look from a customer service stand point when every staff member is constantly on their cell phones, and ignoring customers.
It was a pile of stool, and the pork was hard. I brought in a milk tea and took a sip, and then some staff came over and refused to let me drink my milk tea. They say you have to order from their store, and you can’t take anything outside. I just don’t drink from your store. The plain water is also tap water. It’s disgusting. Nausea
Ordered spicy chicken teppanyaki. Overly salted. Just doesn't taste the same way it used to. Side garlic powder is now just fried garlic as opposed to their specialty garlic seasoning. Their menu options is now more limited and their toppings have reduced considerably compared to what it used to be. Compared to a few years ago, this is a no go for me otherwise it is a decent ramen place.
The noodles on the fried chicken are getting thicker. Are the octopus balls doughy? The octopus is as small as a baby's pinky fingernail, and the fried chicken is overcooked
Great food, awful service here. I continuously find them disinterested in actually helping guests. Slow on water refills, food requests, the bill, etc. You feel like you’re inconveniencing THEM by asking for anything. Cheap with portions as well!
Majority of the booths have "Reserved" signs, but they don't take reservations. Food was somewhat decent nothing special. Service is horrible, servers are doing you a favour that they're serving you. Parking is an issue.
We came visit on Sunday night, after we sat down, we found both table and menu were extremely sticky, we gently let the server know, instead of apologizing, the server told us “oh we already clean it”. Then we waited for 20 mins to order, even the server have noticed us ready to order yet they decided to ignore and chat in the counter, eventually a server came and told us. “ You have to raise your hand to order food” I wouldn’t recommend this place as many other ramen restaurants around the street, I’m sure their service will be better because this restaurants customer service is already hit-bottom WORST.
An absolute great service, I always come here every alternate week and to be honest it's simply the best. The hospitality is top notch. Absolutely recommended!
If you want the worst experience, come to this restaurant. I don't know if it's a house rule. As soon as we had ordered, the waiter asked if we were paying together or separately. I was thinking, isn't that supposed to happen after we finish? We asked him if we could talk about it later, and he said no, we need to talk about it now. It was fine, then they served my friend ramen and charred meat in a bowl, so we asked for a new one, but this time the noodles didn't boil and we just returned them. Then they got the wrong salad, and we ask for the one we ordered and didn't get it even until the other friend finished the ramen. This is outrageous. We ended up watching another friend eat ramen, pay for it and leave.
Really ridiculous experience here. We came as party of 3 at lunch time and we were the only customers at that time. We ordered bunch of things and the sever said we need to figure out how to split the bills so that he can send our orders to the kitchen. I ordered the spicy pork ramen and thr pork on the top was overcooked and they were dark and dry. And the server serve the wrong salad which were not my friend’s ordered, the right one never came.
