Ajisen Ramen

They don’t MISS. My friends and I came across Ajisen in 2017 and we’ve been happy returning customers ever since. Seriously can’t go wrong with a bowl of pork ramen and a glass of bubble tea.

One of the tastiest ramen in the city. I’ve been here multiple times and tried more than one type of their ramens, can’t complain about any of them. The portion size is pretty big!

This food is a once in a lifetime experience! The best ramen I’ve ever ate and I ate some.

I love the Spicy Miso Pork Ramen

We also got the Pork Ramen with Black Garlic broth. If you really like garlic, this would be a great soup base for you.

The two appetizers we got were Steak Teppanyaki and Potato cakes.

I love traditional chasu, but their thin sliced pork is absolutely delicious.

Everything is great except my food just this last meal of mine. The black
Garlic is soo toasted i guess that’s why my soup is bitter.

Love the spicy miso ramen broth base. Great noodles and decent prices! However I do not recommend the steak, it was very bloody and not the best. The staff are just okay. Good spot for a fast cheap meal:) will likely be back again for take out.

I’ve tried the best ramen places in Toronto, and Ajisen Ramen beats them ALL. I had the Original Ajisen Ramen and my husband had the Spicy beef ramen, and both of them were AMAZING! If you’re looking for a ramen spot in Toronto, don’t think twice. It’s also pretty reasonably priced. For both ramen it was $35 with taxes. Still can’t get over how amazing the food was.

Great Location, Great Food Fast Service and amazing proportions. I recommend any of their ramen noodles along with any appetizer.

Authentic, full-body ramen with super quick and friendly service. Must try during the cold winter months. Be aware that the spicy broth is actually spicy. Enjoy!

My experience was absolutely horrible.

We went on Dec 21, at around 4: 30. I believe this place is a franchised owned. We were seated and the owner asked our order and was rushing us.before we finished telling him our full order he was already walking away. There was a group of 4 that came in after us but still got their food before us so we were already confused. I asked a waiter how much longer since it's already been 20 minutes and turns out the owner forgot to place our order so we could hear him yelling and a couple minutes after we got our food.this isn't the worst part yet.when we got our food, my broth was luke warm.and my friend's was a different noodle type that we asked for (udon was given instead). So we informed the waiter on my friend's order since it was incorrect and I kept mine. At this point I just wanted to eat somewhere else. Anyways, the waiter informed the owner that the order was incorrect and he started to yell at her and everyone was able to hear. I felt so bad for the waiter because she wasn't the one that took our order - it was the owner.

The owner came out and gave a bowl of regular thin noodles.and expected us to transfer the noodles over and take the udon out ourselves.it was a self service at that point, so we asked him for a new one.what he did was bring a bowl of a DIFFERENT broth out that was hot, and he dumped the two bowls of noodles in the broth and told us to trasnfer everything else from the first bowl into the new bowl.

The owner I would say has zero customer service and management.

100% would NOT recommend. It was a horrible experience.

Horrible. Dirty, dirty oil.
Please change the oil. Had to drink so much water after dine-in.

Chicken karaage: meat was okay but breading was like the tire.
Side rice: it’s not soy sauce on. That soy sauce was like from boiled meat broth.very oily and no flavour at all.

We ordered 3 Pork Ramen, 1 Spicy Beef Ramen, 1 Original Steak Ramen, and 1 Pork Katsu Curry rice through Ubereats. The food was pretty good and tasty. Everybody enjoyed their bowls of Ramen.

I ordered the spicy beef ramen and it was good. Definitely one of the better ramen I've had but certainly not the best. The broth was tasty, spicy, and not overly salty. The beef was tender and delicious as well, and the noodles had a good chew. Didn't care for the bean sprouts in there, I know they were for added crunch so it's ok. The marinated egg was cooked well but it wasn't marinated enough at all. Overall, it's worth it, I'd come again.

Amazing ramen, the pork ramen is to die for. Will be coming back to Toronto just for this ramen.

The taste isn't the same and the prices went up very expensive for basic food and the filet mignon was very tough not good at all.

The absolute best ramen I have ever had, no contest. Been coming for two years, and have never brought someone with me who didn’t walk away stunned at the quality.

Great and fast service. Friendly staff. Ordered Spicy beef ramen and I got the order within 5 mins I would say. I was also here just before lunch rush hour, maybe that’s why. Regardless, the food was delicious and I didn’t have to wait around for the bill once I was done too. It was perfect for my lunch break from work.

There are a couple of major things I did not like during my dining experience here.

1st was that they were not as strict in complying with the proof of vaccination requirement. The employee initially just asked us to show our vaccination proof. While we were fidgeting around looking for it, the person just mentioned that he trusts that we have it and we can just go ahead inside. It made it faster and convenient, yes; but it defeats the purpose of having that requirement.

The other thing was that I personally did not like how the attitude of the servers were. It was all-business, and there was no attempt to provide exceptional treatment other than the minimim required. The person serving our table also seemed impatient and it was showing when he came to check if we were ready to order. I personally find it improper if waiters rush customers to take orders. Also, the gesture of how our waiter took our menus after ordering was rude as well.

Food was not perfect. My ramen's noodle texture is not tender and was coming off hard. My pork katsu's covering or breading was also falling off and eventually separated completely.

There were a lot of things I found negative when I dined here. I will not recommend this ramen place with how it is right now.

Thoroughly enjoyed the ramen here! My only complaint was that it wasn't as hot *temperature wise* as I wanted it to be. My friends all had hotter ramens. But the spice level, the flavour, the broth was outstanding. Will definitely be back

Our experience wasn’t really nice… had to ask for waters when they were brought to other tables right away. We ordered and we watched 2 tables who came in after us get their food before we did. Maybe it was a mistake or a fluke, but we waited an hour for our food (they weren’t that busy) and nobody came to ask us or check in. Don’t think we’ll be back.

Good place but I have noticed the quality of ramen varies whenever the owner is not present. Whenever the owner is present food is top notch (usually dinner service) other times, there is a bit of degrade (not bad but noticeable if you regular the place). Overall my go to ramen place.

The servers can sometimes have a bit of attitude.

Food here is ok. The Raman noodles wasn't what I was expecting but the broth is tasty and different (I prefer not eating spicy foods, but this place made it good). Service is somewhat questionable due to the attitude of the server however, I think it was because they were short staffed, although that should never be an excuse. I would return to give them another chance.

Ajisen ramen is good for its price. The service at this perticular location was fast & efficient. Right after me and my friends ordered our food, the bill was quickly placed on the corner of our table. You do not go to the cashier, you pay the bill at your table. The restaurant it's self was a bit small for the amount of tables.

I’ve been to this ramen place a lot more times than I can keep count. Their ramen is cheap and comes in a big portion worth the money. However, their soup isn’t the most flavourful. I prefer their meat over most other ramen spots because it’s very fresh. Overall, it’s a good experience and the staff are friendly.

Food is fantastic. I always get Tom yum BBQ pork and I've never been disappointed, so delicious! The portions are big and well priced.

Spicy chicken ramen, my all time favorite! With lots of coriander seeds and chilly oil make broth even more tastier

The spicy miso soup ramen was one of the best I ever had. This place accepts credit cards. It gets very busy on weekends and evenings.

Excellent selection of ramen. Might not be the most authentic but it's a good introduction to ramen with a lot of side dishes and side drink options.

Very good experience here! Very affordable and great taste! Plus its in Chinatown so there's lots to see and do outside. Highly recommended place!

Large portions with lots of variety. Your choice of meat and level of spice with lots of sides to add on as well. Small and cozy with a bit of a wait but it is well worth it. Access to 2 pokèstops while dining as well makes it a great spot to sit down for a break while playing.

The Food was fantastic! I enjoyed it it came fairly quickly as well. The reason I am giving this a 2 star rating is because the service. One of the people working had told my group of 5 after having been seated for only about 5 minutes and figuring out our order (which we all had figured out already) have been told to "Get off our phones and order" my friend had said calmly we have been waiting to order. The same guy came over and took our orders. When he got to me he had cut me off mid order, I had to call him back to finish my order. The man proceeded to get my order wrong and charge me an incorrect amount and did it with a very shove off attitude. I suggested this place to my friends as a place to eat cause I liked the food and service before. Now this leaves me like they dont care for their customers and will shove then off and get things incorrect to help serve others before you.

Great variety of tasty ramen and cozy atmosphere. I had the spicy miso pork ramen which had just the right amount of spice. The pork was cooked perfectly and had a wonderful smoky taste. Noodles were freshly made. The menu is very large and offers a large variety of non-traditional ramen. Staff were friendly and our food came out extremely fast (< 3 minutes).

Great ramen shop. Ramen was super flavorful and service was fantastic. Shop was very nice and clean and felt very inviting.

FOOD POISONING ALERT! Never coming back again. Found a fly in my ramen and I asked it to be changed (politely). They didn't change it (i know because i always put extra garlic in mine because this dish doesnt have garlic and I always dump my kimchi in) and they just added more ramen and egg and tasted funny. I can't call them out on this because the waitress was rude and i just wanted to get everything over with. Puked it all out on the way home because I felt so sick. The table is sticky and the utensils feel oily. The windows are never cleaned and u can see dead flies stuck in between gaps, and the doors are full of papers that doesnt even make any sense at all. Overall is very cluttered and not well kept. There are lots of offensive papers stuck on the doors about tips when they could've addressed it politely. One time (last 3 weeks) the debit machine kept messing up I had to operate it all by myself because the waitress kept ignoring me for 45 mins, and it's not even busy! Don't they want to be paid? I was honestly just dumbfounded. Waitresses kept rushing to order even when we literally just sat down.

Lots of options to choose from. It's not your traditional ramen as it has a Chinese influence on the flavor and selection. However, it's just as delicious and has something for everyone.

I know quite a few people who would say this is their favourite ramen place but they have no LLBO and I prefer my ramen with a spot of sake!

Their walls are beautifully decorated by a bunch of seemngly cheap notes from the store owner. Very unpleasing to look at while u eat. Never coming back. #notthebestramenplaceintorontoanymore

Excellent food, the taste is awsome and they have quite a large sellection on the menu, it is worth to try at least once.

The quality of this place just seems to decrease everytime I come back. I could barely make myself finish my bowl because I felt like I was drinking hot water with some oil.

Another favourite spot of mine! Usually a go-to stop whenever I’m in the area and hungry. I always get the steak ramen, and I’ve never been disappointed. They once forgot my order, and I had to wait a few minutes more, but received a complimentary bubble tea! Great service, amazing portions! I’m always stuffed when I leave!
