Akita Sushi

Love this place! Best all-you-can-eat sushi in my area. They have amazing options especially for those who don't want to eat raw fish.

Great small location for AYCE sushi north of Toronto. Pretty basic in terms of variety and flavour, but still worth it for the price you pay. They have Ipads for ordering which beats the old system of having to write down your orders. Servers are nice, but orders come at varying times. Some orders came early and some came later. Overall just a great option for AYCE sushi / japanese cuisine in the area.

The manager/owner is always very friendly. He knows his regulars. What stands out for me with Akita are the servers. They noticed my girls struggling with the chopsticks so they brought over chopsticks that had the cheat fold! Awesome staff, quick food. Great quality and $$$ stays competitive.

My family and I use to come here almost once a week until about a year ago, when our service was so bad we decided not to go back. We found another Sushi place to go to where the food was much better and service was good. The other day our usual Sushi place had a min. 1 hour wait and that was just too long to wait. We went 2 minutes down the road to Akita and decided to give them another try, it's been about a year maybe their food and service have improved. We walked in, no line, no wait time, half empty restaurant, we should have picked up on the clues!

Food was awful, i honestly thought I had food poisoning! I was sick for the rest of the night and did not feel better for 2 days. Three of us went to dinner and 2 of us were sick. I won't even get into to the lack of customer service.

NEVER AGAIN!

I don’t usually leave review but I ordered Uber eats from this place yesterday and feel sick this morning. They should take more time checking the quality of their ingredients. I feel sick now

I enjoyed the sushi here. I came by quickly with my daughter for a snack and the service was quick. The sushi was good. My daughter was happy and that's all I can ask for. Would visit again for a quick snack.

It says they closes at 10PM also they have the open sign outside.
I went in asked for menu to take out the guy at the reception gave me the menu. Suddenly he said they are closed. This is the second time. Not sure if they don't want to serve me for any particular reason.

Food quality is not the best here, but it is very affordable. Online ordering was very easy and the order was ready for pick up on time. The issue was that the sushi became warm-ish as it was packed in the same bag as the hot food items.

Piece of salmon on top. Some pieces had none.

Busy. We didn't get everything we ordered and portions are incredibly small. Also felt like they wanted us to leave

It was my first time here although I'm not a big sushi eater, it was good (something different).

It's a very self-serve environment, didn't interact with the staff much besides them bringing our food. The sushi was pretty good, the all you can eat selection wasn't amazing, but overall good!

Very quick and efficient service, food was good, I would give an 8 out of 10, If you go for the allá you can eat menu, make sure you are empty stomach to make sense out of what end up paying for

We were there a group for a business lunch. The servant were very rude with attitude.
For all the group of 8 they only provide one tablet to order -
We spend more than $300 but with a terrible service
Also they charged at the end a 15% service charge!
With that service and high price and quality, it won't even cost $1 team

Never go back there

One of my favorite sushi spots. The cheese wontons are amazing. Food is good.

Only thing is I wish they would de-vein the shrimp before making tempura or the coconut shrimp. Such a turn off when taking a bite.

I have been there many times and the service and food has always been good. We went this evening and it was horrible from the beginning. Yes it was very busy and we were willing to wait, but they seated us in a back room which smelt like we were in the kitchen. We should have left but decided to stay. Our food took forever to come. They brought out one tray of sushi, 30 min later still nothing. There was another table in the back room that arrived after us and they kept getting their food. Spoke to the manager said the food would be coming. 10 min later still no food. Spoke to the manager again and we told him how unhappy we were and that we were leaving and not paying. I have never done that before and I definitely will never be going back.

Never again! Threw our order on the table and lied to us about changing the oil; while everyone else was being served their fried foods. Very rude and no customer service etiquette. First and last time. Didn't want to put any stars.

I personally preferred Sake Sushi over this one. I tried Akita today for the first time but 100%, it will be my last. Most of the sushi that I ordered, was salty and dry. The appetizers were not great as well.

Used to be a great place. Was there last weekend. Will never go back. Rude customer service. 40 min after placing our order, we got 1 plate of sushi. They though the dish on the table. Horrible. Must be new management. W

Super slow service! Took between 45 mins and 1h15min per dish to arrive at the table. We couldnt wait any longer and had to leave.

Forgot some of our items. Sushi didn't taste good or fresh. The oil was old. Waitress impossible to understand. I won't be back.

Love this place! Got the Dragon roll and it was fresh and delicious. Great all you can eat menu - large selection of appetizers, main dishes, bento boxes, noodles and so much more. A taste for everyone. Great atmosphere!

Good food quality and quantity but not the best customer service. But always a laugh yo see the guy behind the counter in sunglasses.even at night. ;-)

Very nice AYCE restaurant. Lots of choices available. Very clean restaurant. Definitely recommend.

Uncomfortable experience for black and brown POCs… Came in with 2 of my girls - all of us being brown and black. They completely ignored us for most of our order and we had to repeatedly ask them to bring us our food. Eventually, we received reminders from 2 different servers that they were closed at 9: 30. We left at 9: 33 after having the bill rudely handed to us (which we didn’t ask for) - come to find out, there were 3 other families there, all of which were white or east asian. They were all sat, eating comfortably, without being nearly ushered out like we were. Definitely never coming back here again, although the food was good, shoutout to the cooks.

When we went here for the first time, we had a great experience, second time around not so much. The food is good but they are missing more fresh salad options. The sushi is the best part. This time when we went they charged us a 15% service fee. We were a group of 6, split the bill and both of us were charged the service fee. Went 3 weeks ago with 3 people and we were not charged the 15% service fee. They should at least let you know before hand, it's very sketchy. With the service fee it ends up being too expensive. I don't think we would be returning. There are other good sushi all you can eat establishments for a better price.

They did not include chop sticks after I asked for utensils on Ubereats. They only fill up half the cup for the soya sauce. Super annoying

The food is always good whether you dine in or take out. The service is quick and reliable. You order through an iPad and the servers bring your food when it is done. Seating when I went was quick.

I come here all the time with my family or for just a nice date night. It is hard to find good all you can eat sushi places, which is why I am blessed to have found this place. Unagi sushi is my all time favourite!

It used to be okay now it doesn't even deserve 1 star. Been here an hour waiting for food starving.
It's an okay place to go overall. The all you can eat sushi variety and quality is good but chicken and beef items, not so good. The ingredients didn't seem fresh. They do have brown rice so that's a plus point. Tataki salmon is served on weekends and holidays only and is a must have! The service could be faster.

Great sushi and tempura. They have a great selection of rolls and sushi, most other things just ok. Quick service and fairly affordable, especially at lunch which is 7-8 dollars cheaper than dinner. The menu is a little more limited, but they still offer a decent selection for lunch.

Having sushi as the first sit in all you can eat meal post restrictions, a good choice. Going to Akita Sushi for all you can eat a wise choice. Good price a large selection and fresh tasting food you can't go wrong. Friends, family gatherings or a fun date night I will definitely be coming back.

Hands down my favourite sushi spot in Woodbridge! Amazing selection & freshhhhhh salmon! The price is also very decent for all you can eat.

Akita has been my forever favourite for all you can eat sushi in the Vaughan region. It has great selection of sushi rolls, appetizers, tempura and deep fry. However Dessert mainly has fried banana and different flavours of ice cream. My recommendation would be add to it. Also the portions are slightly smaller than other all you can eat. Must have: Cheese wontons or Butterfly Wontons!

My go-to.i have brought 10-12 friends/family to this sushi place and every single one has returned.great variety and service is good.

More and better selection for an all you can eat Japanese food. Tepanyaki wasn't the best though, it's a bit tough and over cooked. Overall was good.

Good food, quick service and a great selection. Go during the weekdays to get the buffet for $20:)

Maki platter was very disappointing. They were too small like candies. (My photo can ve decieving as they look bigger.)
And for the price i paid, it was not worth it.

Went for dinner tonight, we were 2 grown men sitting there. Ordered 20 pieces total of rolls, 8 hand rolls.
Received the first 20 peices, was mediocre to say the least. Asked if the hand rolls were coming and told that we Ordered to many!
I said "excuse me"? Waitress responded that's to many for you 2 people to eat!
So we reorder this time 4 hand rolls. Then ask for 2 orders of fried Banana she brings 1 and says " no more" I am never going back there again. When I paid the bill she shook her head because I didn't tip! They didn't deserve a tip. Disgusting! Don't go there to eat they don't deserve to be in business or receive any of our hard earned money!

Not a bad place to have lunch. The sushi is decent. Place is located conveniently. Would recommend to others.

Orders have been taking longer lately.
Order times used to be 15mins and order was ready. Lately orders have been taking 30-45 minutes.

The quality of the food has room for improvement. Until then 4 stars and I’ll still be a returning customer.

So glad I found a sushi place close to home was not disappointed will definitely be ordering from here quite often

Always fresh. Portions are always the right size. Prices are always great. This'll be my takeout sushi spot for a long while. Trust.

I miss being blissfully ignorant before having seen the documentary Seaspiracy and finding out how seafood is sourced and how it affects the ocean.

Their food is usually good. Their rolls sometimes fall apart. But today when I ordered on uber eats I had a long white grey hair in my roll and on top of that they forgot my chicken cutlet which was for my kids and they couldn’t eat anything besides the white rice. Don’t these people wear hairnets? Never ordering again from this place. Wasted 60 bucks.

I ordered delivery from this restaurant through Uber eats since covid. And I must say I am absolutely impressed by how amazing the food is. I ordered the salmon sashimi, roll, and the torched sushi but they tasted exceptionally fresh and so delicious. I haven't good sushi in so long. Highly recommend. Definitely ordering it again. And I hope I'll be able to visit in store soon in the future!

Very clean and accessible restaurant. They offer generous portions and for reasonable prices. We enjoyed the meals a lot and the waiters were very friendly and informative. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

Tried this place in the past with a friend and I am addicted since then. I like the excellent ambience and delightful dishes and drinks. Great work.

I used to go here all the time, and i loved it but lately their quality is terrible! But we decided to give it another try for my confirmation, and it was terrible! My entire family got food poising, and we were all super sick, and had to throw out almost all of it!

I visit this spot a lot since I work nearby. I like how the customer service is always awesome and they keep the spot well kept consistently. Rates are convenient and they serve large portions.

Food are good. Fast serving. The only thing i noticed is after we order 4 green salad they said nomore salad.we were the first one on the restaurant during lunch. It was eat all you can maybe the exception of green salad.lol!

Sushi not too bad. They are quick at making the food. And the place looks good and clean inside

The food is great, great taste, big selection of items, very reasonable prices, you get alot of food for the money, highly recomend it, i like the way they make general tao chicken.

Terrible service at this place. I ordered take out in the middle of the pandemic to support local businesses. They messed up one of my rolls so when I called to tell them the lady gave me attitude and acted like it was my fault. I live 20 minutes away so I drove back and asked for the proper roll. Keep in mind when she was on the phone with me she told me to bring back the roll that I had touched and had been in my home (while were in a pandemic). I did bring it back but I didn't want to considering the fact that they would probably re use the roll which is disgusting. Why else would they as for it back? I ended up getting my roll but forgot to hand her the roll was was the mistake. She literally chased me out of the place. I didn't realize until I was in the car. She called me numerous times I finally picked up. She then threatened me and told me to come back and bring the roll which I did not do. Clearly times were tough and they did not care about COVID-19 regulations because she clearly wanted to give that roll to someone else. LITERALLY DISGUSTING. Please do not go.

Not worth the money! I have been to better places but due to covid many of them don't offer dine in so we opted to go to Akita and we had ayce dinner. Rolls full of rice and pretty much all rolls are the same although the name is different. Rolls sea weed was chewy and each time we ordered there was at least 2-3 items missing that we had to call over our server to request them who was no where to be found! Test is mediocre, not worth $65 for 2 people, save your money and go somewhere else!

Exceptional spot to buy some food when in a hurry. Their customer service is swift, pricing is reasonable, excellent atmosphere. Will come visit again

The service is fantastic. The people there are very polite and incredibly fast with their service. The food is delicious and I strongly recommend visiting!

Tried this spot already with my friend and I am hooked ever since. I loved the great vibes and delicious dishes and beverages. I recommend this place.

Overall quality is good. Raw fish on rice was really fresh, especially the white tuna and salmon. Prices are in range of other competing restaurants. I recommend giving this place a chance.

Sometimes the place is okay. Everyone is angry in the customer service as per usual. But this time the rice was not done on the sushi and everything was dry. Definitely would rather go saki sushi or elsewhere.
