Usually rental car agents are very accommodating. But my experience was not that good on Friday night. My request for an upgrade was not entertained, they did tell it was a busy weekend and i should have tried alamo website instead of costco travel. Is that really true? I am going to talk to Costco travel as well.

Beware Hail Damage SCAM
Rented a car in Calgary and drove it to Canmore. They ask you to sign off on the car damage in their dimly lit garage. Looked fine to me and didn't think much of it. Spent a week in Canmore/Banff area. There were no storms for the week. I get back to the airport for the return and they whip out a special reflector to look for minute damage on the car. Miraculously they discover some dents with their special mirror and charge me $500 for hail damage. They state that they DO NOT rent out cars with hail damage so it must have happened during my rental even though there were no storms. What a SCAM. I guarantee they just rented that same car out to the next sucker and will ding them $500 on return for hail damage. Next time I want that magic mirror waved over the whole car on PICKUP and will mark every minute mark on their form.

Staff were great, it was the most affordable option with CAA and they got the car to us early by a day.

Not great but decent. Had a really toughtime with using (denied) my debit card for picking up a car rental. Without a credit card that I unfortunately forgot to bring in from the USA, was just plainly denied to accept debit card. Crazy. Other than that it was a smooth experience.

Poor customer service.
Booked a mini van but they ran out of minivan. I also booked a car seat but the guy at the counter kept suggesting to use a booster instead, which is not even legal for age and weight of the child.
He also messed up my receipt.
I would not recommend Alamo or National.

Had issues with my reservation and the manager went above and beyond to help straighten it out. Thank you so much!
