Absolutely fantastic service with trusted and honest diagnosis. This is the first independent auto repair shop in 20 years that I can trust more than any local dealership and did a fantastic job on my car. Highly recommend their honest services.

These guys are the best. My husband and I bring our 2019 Jetta, 1985 Mustang and 1958 DeSoto here - the level of care and attention to detail is wonderful (and we always end up laughing and having a fun time too). Can't recommend them enough!

One of the worst experience

Andrew seemed nice at first, but when I took my car for inspection he damaged my car further. And said he was busy and never contacted me again for the repairs

This review is a few years late but Andrew helped me out when I was in a pinch. My car had broken down and I had to buy a new one ASAP for work. I found a private sale that seemed like a great deal and called around a few places before getting in touch with ALC to get a pre-purchase inspection done. He got me in same day despite me cutting it close to closing time.

While his mechanics were going over the car we started chatting. I excitedly told him about how I just needed the car for a few months because I was saving as much as possible to move abroad.

The inspection ended up going pretty poorly and I would have needed to spend more on repairs than I was paying for the car in order to pass a safety. Andrew waived the inspection fee and sent me on my way, costing nothing but an hour or so of my time.

Reading through the other reviews it seems clear that on top of their excellent service, Andrew and his team run their business with integrity and grace. Those little things end up reaching much further than business.

The type of shop anyone would be lucky to have in their neighborhood!

Andrew's shop is the best place I've ever taken a car. He is very professional, and totally trustworthy. I won't be going anywhere else.

Andrew is a most patient and helpful person as he showed after a few mind changes! In taking my son's newly purchased car to him for certification, he found several NECESSARY repairs and they were done professionally and very quickly. He was very understanding about our hesitancy and was helpful in solving the problems. My son has a good safe car now. Thank you, Andrew.

I'm super late with this review but it is needed. I was referred to Andrew by my mother (who I'm usually hesitant to take referrals from lol) but I have no regrets with this one.
Andrew has the heart of a genuine family man, & it's evident that this is the culture of ALC, they're all quite awesome & VERY hard working! I have to say, I've (unintentionally) TRIED Andrew's patience when I was unable to make a payment on time but once I was finally able & feeling horrible bcz he'd been lenient from the start, he kept his cool, infact he was empathetic & more kind than I deserved. He understood & there was no sign of aggravation. I was also considering selling my civic but unsure if the choice was wise & he suggested I hold onto it a bit longer & explained why, & I truly needed that insight, I learned a few things & I am SO glad I listened bcz he saved me alot of $ by doing so. He's like the uncle I never had! Lol

Saying that I'm grateful is an understatement. I HIGHLY recommend ALC Auto but I do NOT recommend anyone taking advantage of genuinely cool a** people. We need more ppl like Andrew & his colleagues

Recently had my engine seize, and towed to Andrews shop. Instead of just telling me what went wrong and providing me with a quote for the job, he contacted the manufacturer, discovered a potential recall on the engine. The dealership ended up replacing the engine free of charge saving my family over $5000. Finding a mechanic that gives away work, and saves the client a substantial bill, is certainly not the industry norm. Andrew says "Hey, I'm just doing my job. "

Needless to say, Andrew will have my business (and anyone else that I can send his way) for a long time to come.

An amazing business. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable and you're treated like a person rather than a dollar sign. The head mechanic, Andrew, is straightforward and honest. Whenever there is a major problem with the vehicle he always lays out all of the options and makes sure you are a part of the decision process. Highly recommend!

Thus far I've only had great experiences at ALC.it's hard to find mechanics where you can feel the trust but at ALC, I never feel that Andrew or his team are taking advantage. Great staff, great place.

I have been coming to ALC for several years now. I have ALWAYS received top notch service and they don't try to gouge you by nickel and diming you on everything.
Andrew will advise you on what needs to be done and do ONLY what you ask for.
But only if it is to your benefit, I had an BMW X5 that needed some work. Andrew had already done several repairs on this vehicle. It was basically at the point that it wasn't worth putting anymore money into it. Andrew refused to do the work because he didn't want me to spend unnecessary $$$ on the vehicle.
How many mechanics do you know that would turn down work because he didn't want you wasting money? That would be NONE except Andrew Cormier.
I recommend this shop to everyone I know and if I could give more than 5 I would.
I will continue to deal with Andrew and the boys as long as I own a vehicle.

My check engine light came on suddenly and my vehicle started to act up on a Saturday in the early evening. Upon a recommendation from one of my neighbors I had the vehicle towed to ALC Automotive. By the next day the owner, Andrew, was already in touch with me to reassure me that he and his team would start to diagnose the vehicle on Monday. I received a call on Monday to let me know what the problem was and that a part was ordered and by Tuesday I had my car back!
Andrew is a professional with high standards. He communicated with me every step of the way so I was never left wondering what was going on with my car. The work on my car was done perfectly at a fair price. I will definitely recommend this shop.

I used to love coming here and referred everyone I knew, I always got the pleasure to talk and deal with the owner+mechanic andrew, after coming here for almost 10 years this new ill-mannered woman advised me I was no longer allowed to speak with him and said I had to go through her. Ok. So I gave her a list of the work I wanted done, came back a few days later to pick up my car only to find the instructions were not followed, they didn't do what I asked them and I was charged for things I did not ask for and her discourteous response was "I don't have time for people like you, we deal with large scale fleet vehicles or people who give us their credit card and don't ask questions" I found out later the parts they did change were 3rd line cheap Chinese branded aftermarket and failed after less than 20,000km even though I requested OEM only. It saddens me to write this review.

Been there for the first time spoken to Andrew about my BMW X5 and also about my 3 series as well. He provided me the info I was looking for. Definitely recommended one of the best guys! Tony.

I was in a rush to school on Saturday morning and my engine light was on, I went for a quick checkup on my car at ALC, Andrew was able to help me and he was being honest how much he will charge me for an inspection and knowing that I was heading school, he quickly ran to my car and did a checkup and cleared the engine light and told me exactly what the issue was, he was probably the most knowledgeable mechanic I have ever met. After explaining what really happened to my car, he said it's ok I didn't have to pay and at that point I was totally astonished by his honesty. Absolutely recommended and I am happy for myself that I finally found a trustworthy mechanics in Oakville.

When I first went to ALC Andrew walked my mom and I through the issues with the car and he was very honest and transparent with us. Since then, I have found everyone in ALC to be trustworthy and they actually care! I have been going to this shop for the last 10 years and would never think of changing mechanics. Every time I have been here the staff is accommodating to everyone's needs, friendly and they truly make sure you get the most cost-efficient option. None of that "cosmetic" stuff that you would get charged for at a dealership.
