Absolutely loved the food! Didn't too much like my drink. Service was good but the place itself to dine in, is small.

First time in. It looks like a good place to have brunch, reasonably priced foods and amazing flat white. I will come back for foods/ cash or debit only **

The food was delicious (pancakes, french toast, cappuccino)
The service was fast and friendly.
The atmosphere was very modern, and cozy (love the r&b music selection)

I’ve been here twice so far. The restaurant is small and they cheap out on EVERYTHING. No visa accepted (which I can deal with). There’s no physical menu (not even a barcode to scan). No substitute is allowed and they charge $4 for a few sliver of avocado! The highlight was when I asked for some salt and pepper (because the eggs Benny was completely bland), the waiter brought two tiny single serve packets of salt/pepper. No actual shaker. I don’t think I’ll be giving this place a third chance.

This is super cozy place for a brunch and coffee. Tried their Duck and waffle, smoked salmon benedict, hojicha latte and a flat white.
Everything taste super good and taste like a real chef cooking all of this.
One cons is that their food price is on a higher end but does worth the price

Brunch date with the hubby yesterday. I had chicken and waffles with a latte (oat milk) and he had brioche French toast with Earl Grey tea. Service was fast. The food was well prepared and plentiful. The chicken was so crispy and juicy, the waffles light and crisp. Yum. Brioche French toast was yummy - served with soups vide apples and bacon. Give them a try. I only wish they took reservations.

Unfortunately unfortunately unfortunately they reduced the portions and it didn’t taste like before! Service wasn’t like what we expected also! Alchemy was our favourite but not any more!

Ordered 2 egg Benny for din in and one steak and egg for to go. The egg is pre cooked and cold. The to go portion shrink a lot. The steak is only 2/3 size as normal.

Food was simple yet delicious. I came with my boyfriend. I gave service a 2 because they didn't serve our food together at the same time. I finished my carbonara pasta before his sandwich came. Also what kind of business doesn't accept credit card. It would also be nice if staff mentions this as they come to take your order.

This is a good breakfast/brunch spot! The menu is simple and not too expensive. We ordered smoked Salmon Benny, Egg sandwich with Sausage on the side. For drinks we got Americano and Vanilla Steamer.

The service was good and we left the place with full stomach and happy heart. Will definitely come back here another time.

If you are a large group just call before coming since the seating area is limited.

I tried to go here for brunch today, but unfortunately, I had to leave because the restaurant lacks capability - this is the most charitable way I can describe their service. I made a reservation at 10: 59 AM for four, and their automated system said 15 minutes. We checked in early to show them we had a baby with us. We were prompted that our table was ready at 11: 26 AM. We were asked to sit at the bar (with backless stools) when just moments ago, they sat a table for three (all adults). I tried to make due by asking if they had a high chair. They didn’t but the server decided to let me know they have one at their Richmond Hill location.

What am I supposed to do with that information, Alchemy?

I told them we’ll need a table and we’ll continue to wait. They had a second 4-person table occupied by three older ladies, who were clearly finished with their meal. Instead of nudging the party by asking if they wanted to pack up their remaining food or simply asking if they would mind sitting at the bar table, they did nothing.

We continued to wait for another 30 minutes (outside in 32°C weather), and there was no end in sight. So we took our business down the road, and we were eating before we got the notification from Alchemy that our table was ready at 12: 11 PM. Bush league performance.

I’ve visited Alchemy several times before, and the food is not bad. I come here when my kids want their pancakes. There just always blunders and bloopers with their service.

Food is fine. But not recommended to go with your toddler or children who need booster seats. They do not have highchairs or booster seats. You have to bring in your car seat or stroller, but because the restaurant is small, it's not easy to manage that in the tight space.

Although small, The staff were welcoming, Didn't rush me and my guest, apologized frequently for making me wait for a table which wasn't a long wait at all. And the food was unique yet traditional. Makes me wish there was a branch of this brunch spot closer to durham region. Definitely worth a visit

I was looking for coffee but found so much more! A charming place with friendly and efficient service and an excellent breakfast sandwich. All the dishes coming from the kitchen looked fabulous. And the coffee was good too!

Lol literally the only reason WHY THERE IS A WAIT is because it’s so tiny! Don’t be fooled! And don’t think that’s it’s super good or anything when it’s just a psychological trick in your mind!

the girl in the crocs has so much attitude problems it’s crazy. GO TO platform espresso bar or anywhere besides here the worst dining experience ever

Incredibly cute spot, great to study or chat in terms of atmosphere of the cafe. However, the baristas! They’re really the star of the experience. Incredibly sweet, very friendly and so knowledgeable. I came for a quick coffee run and was greeted by such a wonderful barista today. I’ll definitely be coming back and bringing my friends and colleagues

This is a great place for brunch. I had the Salmon Eggs Benny as my main and shared a French toast dish with the table. I go to a lot of brunch places and although they are fine, I never had something this good.

The French toast was crispy and soft on the inside. A perfect mix of cinnamon, sugar, eggs, cheese, apples and a nice syrup.

The main was done perfectly and felt light.

My favourite was the Mocha. I will be just for that now that I'm hooked.

Also I'd like to say that the staff that worked today did something amazing for me and my brothers that we weren't expecting and it made our day.

Love the chicken waffle it has 3 chicken legs which is so filling. I also ordered the Hojicha latte which tasted so good! I came here when it was new and glad to see the growth!

Cozy vibes and great food. Wish there was more parking available + more places to be seated because it does get really busy during brunch hours

I've dined in twice thus far. The 1st time I came by myself on the weekend. I only needed to wait about 8 minutes before I was seated. The 2nd time, me and my mom got seated right away as there were available tables. Servers are great, very prompt and attentive.
Their eggs benny dishes were really good. The plating is lovely and the poached eggs have been perfect every time. I especially love the salad as the salad dressing tastes really refreshing. I also really enjoyed the drinks I've tried so far (matcha latte & London fog latte). Will definitely come back to try their other drinks.
