Alexandra Marine & General Hospital

I have been to this hospital numerous times over the year; I would say it’s one of the best hospital in Huron county.
I know some have said the wait times being extremely long but I have never had that issue and keep in mind they’re the only hospital open over night outside of exeter. (Clinton and seaforth are closed half the time.)

The last time in particular after sitting at Clinton hospital for 4 hours and it was closing time, I was in a lot of pain and had asked numerous times to be seen. I never was seen and the nurses all dismissed me for having a “cold”. Which my chest pain and blue lips not a concern I left after waiting in the ER but not before the snotty response of the nurse saying goderich will be no quicker and scoffing for me wanting to leave. I walked in looked like I was about pass out, they got me in within minutes my “cold” was pneumonia with my lung partially collapsed. The care I received from goderich was nothing short of amazing. This was one of the numerous experiences of compassionate care I have received here.

Wait for hours to not even see a doctor, if you do get to see one you don't get the treatment nor the care you deserve.
It is better to go to Clinton or Wingham Hospital.if you have the means go to London or Kitchener hospital

Went on Friday and sat in the emerg waiting room for 6 hours to be seen for less than 2 minutes (I’m also 8 months pregnant). When I did see the doctor he told me I had a cold, go home and take honey and rest, things will get better by itself. Ended up in Walkerton emerg this morning where they actually completed some tests, confirming I have pneumonia. I’ve been here 2 other times for my daughter and had a female doctor and had a great experience but this experience has completely deterred me from ever returning. Also, the nurses I have had here are great: But this male doctor you could tell just didn’t want to be bothered by a pregnant women with a “cough”.

Mental health unit treats it's patients like it's the medieval times and its disgusting. No access to psychology and no after care plans to keep patients safe after discharge.

Emergency is just the BEST! The staff is the best part. To me they represent what medicine is all about: kind, thorough, compassionate, knowledgeable.everything you want on the worst day of your life! Thanks for all you do!

They should really provide caskets in the waiting room because that's how long you'll wait. First person in and left this afternoon without seeing anyone

Goderich Hospital is a smaller hospital with a big heart. The Doctors Dr. Spacek and Dr. Nicolai were great. The nursing staff is very busy but helpful. Definitely would recommend them. Yes there are wait times, but the staff is very caring and helpful.

Incredible surgery team! From the admitting person to all the pre op nurses, to Dr. Kittmer to the anesthesiologist. Thank you all so much for keeping me calm and making it so seamless.

Person running this hospital need to stick to government agenda and keep their personal opinions about covid and currently needing restrictions to themselves, not being able to see my loved one because im not vaccinated or need a test and isolations before hand is very unacceptable, london hospital dosnt even do this anymore and they see ten times or more the amount of people daily then goderich does.lots of good staff here.but the big wig is a bone head. 1 star for the person running things here

Waited 6 hours and finally left without being seen, disappointed in the fact that not one nurse came out to a very crowded waiting room and said sorry for the Wait or explanation why in over 6 hours not one person was looked after.
