Algoma University

Worst registration process ever. They give you freedom to choose your courses but at the same time you cant choose any because everytime the portal goes down whenever the process starts and by the time your portal get open all courses are full. And they also say that we cant go more than 50% online but they also do not have enough offline classes. Being in 4th semester, its getting really tough to go through all this all over again every time they open registration process. And when you ask for assistance they hardly can do any thing

DLI Approved University, Great place for Learning Business. With too polite staff and Professor, they help we critical learning. Beautiful designed courses.

Worst worst management. My friend got admission and visa for January 2023 in Brampton Campus. After coming Canada they informed that her intake got deferred to May intake. Not only her, but for number of students. She can't work to survive, can't go back due to heavy flight ticket prices.

Reception was rudely answering upon visiting campus to discuss this issue. Admission department was totally out of reach. Don't reply to emails at all. No call pickups.

As a new person in Canada you feel lost due to college's such behavior, after getting ton of $$ as fees.

INTERNATION STUDENTS, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS INSTITUTION AND CAMPUS!

Ad for university shows a woman wearing an Algoma shirt running through the woods, strongly implying that it is part of the campus: the university is a building in the middle of Brampton with no green space at all.

Tried so many times to reach some one on the phone, no response at all, no return call for the VM. I have no idea why they even have a phone line.

I have really bad experience while studying in Algoma university.
Some of the professors are rude while teaching and giving the deserve grades.
I took one of the course in Algoma university
This is my worst experience of studying in this university
I want to take one of the faculty member name that is "Klaus Peltsch" who is so much rude.and never give the appropriate grades to a students who deserve good grades.by getting a zero or less grades, students feels depressed.and when students wanted to contact faculty member or other person in this university, no one give the appropriate answers to the Students.in this type of situation what students can do.specially International students. I personally think that just because because of the tuition fees, algoma university failed the students and this way they even get the extra fees from the international students.

I don't want to be personal.but i just wanted to tell this to an international students who will be applying in this university.

Algoma brampton campus is awesome, you can come anytime and do study. You just need your access card

I don't want to name this professor because he will give me a ZERO even if I breath. Only a handful academic instructors engage closely with the students and are actually committed towards students, while many others keep warning like students are animals. Even after paying thousands of dollars, many professors force you to buy labs and microsoft tools for hundreds of dollars each semester. Spend wisely, don't join Algoma University.

I’m an alumni of the Business Mgt program at AU. The experience at the school was nothing less than memorable. I’m glad I am a part of a growing institution. Everyone from the admin staff to the president are approachable and listen to the students seriously. Networking within the school is amazing. Special mention for Shahrukh as he is the backbone of the Brampton campus. He knows most of his students and is a great support

I made a blunder enrolling in this so-called university for September 2021 intake and would never recommend anyone to join this institution until and unless they want to burn their hard earned money here. The whole campus is being managed by Punjabi students while most of the university professors are located in the main campus of Sault St Mary and the Brampton seems remains deserted. Indian students who are thronging this institution, I would advise you to either go to another university, and if you are coming here only for a PR, then better enroll in a better college. The fee for project management is far higher than other colleges and the quality of education they offer is just not up to the expected standards. The professors keep on giving assignments over assignments and quizzes over quizzes and you will have no idea what to submit when, and when to submit what. From the day you begin the classes, the university will insist you buy a campus access card, printing balance, access to assignment submitting portals like McGraw Hill and IT Pearson Lab and so on which will end up burning your pocket by additional $500 in the first 15 days of your classes.

Can someone advise is it good to apply for international students or not? Would be great help. Thanks in advance.
