Did tent camping; had an amazing time! Very helpful and friendly staff. This will be a definite return for me! Best washrooms I’ve seen at a campsite as well.

Our first time camping in Algonquin, we stayed at Algonquin Pines. It was such a beautiful park, very well maintained grounds. The owners are clearly passionate about what they do and were so friendly and helpful. Loved the little toddler play area. Public washrooms kept clean. Nice sized serviced RV lots. Will definitely be back!

I do NOT recommend this campground if you're a group of family. Owner came aggressively because of noise complaint. There's a place for everything. If you're not happy with your job then leave. The owner can come to us nicely and tell us nicely that there's a noise complaint but this owner used his power to be aggressive in front of our kids. Didn't enjoy the place at all. All we did was to keep reminding our kids to keep quiet and if we get another complaint then we will be kicked out even in the middle of the night. They should be more specific on their websites about the noise. All we know is after 10pm we need to be quiet and we are okay with that rule. Bec rules are rules. What a bad experience for a 1st timer!

I stayed at the Algonquin Pines Campground with my van for 6 nights in late August and the stay was wonderful. The campground is very tidy, offers a lot of space and different camping possibilities. It has two small hiking trails starting right at the campground, is close to the Lake of Bays from where you can start a beautiful tour with the kajak, is close to Algonquin Provincial Park (Not in the park though, which I was first confused about because of the name.), the facilities offered enough space and were clean. I liked the firepit at the campsite and with the wood delivery service you can have a campfire whenever you want. Besides the stunning nature there is to see and explore in the area and the massive and beautiful pine trees at the campground, the people I met there are what made this stay so different to me. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly, open minded and offered loads of recommendations after I asked what to do in the area (check out the guide Phil who does kayak and canoe tours). I will definitely come back again!
+ You absolutely have to check out the merch! The sweaters are very cozy.:)

A lovely spot to lay back and relax. Lots of activites close by and the staff was super friendly. We were so pleased with the site that was booked back in January. Thanks Michelle for changing us to a fabulous site! We will return!

We stayed here for a few days on our honeymoon. Almost 3 months ago. We liked our experience so much that we camped again 4 days ago, we just got home. They double booked one of my sites, I booked 2.we had friends joining us later. We made them aware and they were right on that like white on rice. I also got a free bag of wood. The staff is great & friendly.if you are looking to relax and camp come here.

We just had an overnight stay. No sewer hookup available in this campground, only water and electric. Water looked yellow from the tap and I noticed potable water station by the office. Campsite was long enough to allow us to stay hooked up to the trailer, but nowhere near level and sitting on a dirt surface tracking all sorts of mud into the trailer. One plus is that it was very quiet and the staff in the office was very friendly.
23 October 2022 21:56
Had the pleasure of camping at this little hidden gem. Showed up a day early than I thought I booked and they were more than helpful and had me another site booked in seconds. If your wanting a nice little getaway this is definitely you're place. The glampers are amazing and the cabin looks super cozy, cant wait to get back!

Dated park. Playground all older items. No pool, no beach. Pump out for trailer $35. Kind of expensive if you ask me. Stuff dropping from pine trees and also sap all over my truck and awning.
Washrooms are very dated and should be ripped out and redone. Shower stalls, tiles missing, drains sinking in.
Other than that, nice large sites.
22 October 2021 23:48
We just spent 8 nights at this park. We had an amazing vacation. The park is so clean, washrooms were spotless. The owners and staff were so welcoming and friendly. Despite being full it was so peaceful.

We have booked at Algonquin Provincial Park in the past but will definitely book here instead. See you next year.
26 September 2021 11:12
RV and tent camping. Really nice and clean. It has a pool, big forest for hiking and biking & children's places for playing. Adults can play volleyball, basketball and soccer.
The pool is closed for the season. You need to do your own recycling and composting and take it home with you.
There are 2 restaurants, 0ne by the camping and one across the street and one backery across the street. The beach in Dwight is sandy and free. The water is great for swimming. Algonquin Provincial park is minutes away.
24 September 2021 12:12
Stayed there in July. A great campground close to everything. Algonquin Park, beaches, canoe/kayak rentals, fishing, rapids and so much more.

Owners and staff were absolutely fantastic when we had a family emergency. They really came through for us going above and beyond. Thank you so much!

We look forward to returning for another trip.

Lovely campsites with all the amenities you could need. Grounds are clean and there are tons of activities in the area to enjoy. Owners and staff are super helpful and friendly, we will definitely be staying here again.
13 September 2021 16:17
Staff are amazing, friendly, and the facilities are excellent.we have camped here 2 years in a row.way to go Algonquin Pines Camground.wish you many years of success! You deserve the best!
05 September 2021 11:20
Our family enjoyed a very enjoyable long weekend while camping at Algonquin Pines. Owners are family focused, relaxed and run a well thought out park. Children of all ages have interesting and age appropriate play areas, from toddler zone to teenage sports. We felt that our trailer site had good privacy on J row.

Local attractions give a taste of the Algonquin experience— nearby: Oxtongue rapids trail, ragged falls park, beetle lake trail, Dwight Beach, Algonquin park and waaaaay more.

Across the highway from the park is Henriettas bakery a couple of food trucks, gas station and LCBO.

We’ll be back.

Had an absolutely amazing time spending a week here with the family.
We stayed on site J9 and it was a great site.
Absolutely beautiful campsite!
The campsites are beautiful the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Loved everything about it.
We will definitely be returning in the future
01 September 2021 17:14
We traveled here for a family reunion and it was simply perfect! The owners and staff are incredibly friendly; the sites are well treed, and a great size; the washrooms and showers are super clean. We loved our week here and will be back!
The long term residents in the site next to us were super friendly, and pointed us to some local places to see.
30 August 2021 8:14
We had a fantastic experience here; excellent customer service, beautiful campground and geared towards families. We will definitely be back!
25 August 2021 0:05
Good place to go, wood a but pricey at 12 dollars a bag. Pool was closed to covid but beach was only a 2 min car ride. Site are nice seize big park for the kids.
18 August 2021 21:02
We booked a large site here because we have a 24 ft trailer, apon arrival we were given a tiny site with no privacy. Our picked site was taken from a park model trailer. There wasn't too much to do in algonquin pines bit Algonquin park is about a hour away. Had a good time but if we had a bigger trailer we would have been screwed. You don't know what size of site you will get and most will be hard to get into.
16 August 2021 5:06
We stayed here for 4 nights in early July.
The park is full of tall pines that instantly set the calm factor to 10.
Our site was near the park, the owner did advise it may be noisy but we didn’t find it so.
Great play area, basketball, volleyball and mini golf ($) for all.
The owners were very friendly and all campers we met were equally friendly.

For remote workers, wifi was slow and only available at the office but cell signal was strong.

We’ll be booking again for sure.
15 August 2021 3:50
Very beautiful campsite, it was very calm and quiet here too. The people were really nice and friendly.
14 August 2021 0:18
We had a wonderful time last week staying here even with all the rain. The kids enjoyed the park, and the stars at night. The staff was amazing. We had a great time meeting Ben and Elizabeth. We enjoyed the restaurants close by especially The Boiler Room, the chip truck and the bakery is a must. We will return
nice
12 August 2021 3:50
We were told that checkout is at 12 and we were all packed up and ready to leave and right at 12 and one of the staff came and told us that we should leave now and we told him sure, he goes go now, gooo go….
This is not how u treat ur guests! I’ll make sure that my experience is gonna be shared with my followers on social media
02 August 2021 13:28
My sister and I stayed here last weekend and had an amazing time! Facilities were always clean, staff and owners incredibly nice and knowledgeable about the area, and only 15 minutes drive from Algonquin Provincial Park. We will definitely be staying here again and very much look forward to it. Thank you for such a great experience to the start of our summer!
30 July 2021 1:33
Well maintained, good sized campsites, nice tree coverage. No sewage hookups is a nuisance. You can pay to have it pumped or move the trailer and dump at the front for free.
27 July 2021 23:55
Thank you for a wonderful weekend we had so much fun, you have a beautiful location, its clean and quiet, can't wait to see you again.
26 July 2021 6:14
Spent a couple of nights there in our RV. Park was clean, seemed family friendly and the staff were very friendly. It was close to the ATV trails and you are allowed to go from your site. Dwight Beach is about a 2-3 min drive from the campground. Beach is small but decent. Very little weeds. Water is clean although it is the browny colour, like the Burnt River. I think it from the minerals in the ground. Because the campground is not on the water, it's the only reason I gave it 4 stars. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
11 July 2021 1:33
New owners the place is been fixed up other then the weather we had a great time in a nice park we will be back for sure
10 July 2021 19:49
Absolutely amazing! Staff are extremely helpful, respectful, and friendly! Great campsite, and a great hiking trail. Cleanly, and well kept bathrooms.
10 July 2021 17:03
The whole experience was ruined by the attitude of the staff!
Very rude and unprofessional treatment of the guests,
racist comments were made.
I truly encourage the management of this place to take serious measures toward training the people that work there so that they are not so offensive.
26 June 2021 0:36
Well run private campsite with newly renovated showers & washrooms, wifi slowed down during daytime, friendly staff with reasonable price breakdown of disclosure for billing while booking, campers well manner for quite time period, site to site space wider compared to Carson's @ Sauble, coner pull-thru site is tie as tree removal should be applied to meet the category of site type.
01 December 2020 20:42
We camped here as an alternative to Algonquin Park the first weekend of October. First, how lucky we were, Algonquin Park was absolutely rammed and we would not have enjoyed our stay there. Lots of tall pines and trees to give you the Algonquin feel. There are pull through sites for larger trailers and sites with more privacy if that's your thing (it is ours). Really nice and helpful owners, all of the amenities you need. Really pleased to have water at our site - huge bonus.
29 November 2020 18:20
Great well run campground. Clean, friendly, great trails. Walking distance to bakery, and garden decor store.
26 November 2020 16:21
Camped here three times during September and October in the unserviced campsite section. Each time was perfect. A great alternative than staying in Algonquin Park, and being so close to the park still. The owners and staff were amazing! One of the main reasons it was hard not to come back. They were friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The campsites were pretty private, kept nice and tidy with beautiful pine trees. It's nice how the various types of accommodation are kept separate. Also really appreciated the clean washroom and shower facility. Excellent experience. Thoroughly enjoyed the stays, recommend it and will definitely be booking again for next year!
19 November 2020 18:44
Very nice campground. Owners Chance and Michelle are great. Clean washrooms. Sites are big. Great privacy. Glamping tents are very cozy
17 November 2020 14:14
Beautiful trails but make sure you know the difficulties before hiking the trails. We had a wonderful time.
11 November 2020 6:38
This place was absolutely wonderful! The owners and employees were always super friendly. Our children loved the playground. Campsites are well laid out. We can't wait to return in the future!
10 November 2020 12:55
Very well kept and friendly staff.
It would be more helpful if there was more info of local spots and activities to go to.
04 November 2020 15:21
Amazing camping sites are a great size, the staff are very friendly always take the time to say hi and a fast chat! Bathrooms are very clean with fantastic hot showers.highly recommend we will go back we also purchased two of the hoodies got to say it is stylish and really comfortable️
On a side note - could have done without the neighbours super sized speaker playing the same song over and over but you get one rude camper.
02 November 2020 1:09
The staff are very friendly & helpful. I saw some one cleaning the washroom every time I visited, which is less stressful to think about how the washroom going to look like. Amazing hiking trails, kids friendly area. Huge campaign ground for each area. My hubby who did the campaign 1st time in his life, he enjoyed very much. We will definitely come back next year. We thank you for the wonderful work you all are doing to keep us safe& enjoyable.
30 October 2020 12:00

21 October 2020 22:22
This is a well maintained Campground. The sites are large and private. The bathrooms and showers very clean!
13 October 2020 15:12
Booked Algonquin Pines a few weeks ago with the idea of doing one last trip and catching the fall colours. Not the most private sites, but it was nicely kept. The people that work there are fantastic. Very accommodating and always ready to help. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. Definitely recommend it.
06 October 2020 8:01
Algonquin Pines is quiet, private and being run by friendly people. We had the privilege to camp there twice this summer 2020 and hope to go back again for years to come. The new owners are definitely bringing life back to the beautiful, scenic campground.
03 October 2020 19:13
Honestly the quality service from this family owned camp ground was top notch and perfect. The staff are super special and accommodate with all effort. The grounds are clean, the facilities are well maintained and my kids adored the playground. It was super quiet at night and early morning as the quiet hours were firmly respected. Dwight beach nearby was safe, beautiful sand and perfect for a beach hang out. Henriettas bakery and other close by restaurants make this camp ground so special. We are definitely coming back. What a wonderful experience.
01 October 2020 23:36
These new owners have been amazing! Michelle and Chance are superb hosts and aim to please. My husband contacted the camp while it was under the previous owner and it was a less than pleasant experience. However, unknowingly I contacted the same camp last year to book a seasonal site and immediately felt comfortable and at ease with booking a site unseen for the 2020 season. Once we arrived Michelle, Chance and Family gave us a warm welcome and would check in on us periodically as they toured they're property to ask if there was anything we needed! What Service! This is a gem of a park and I'd highly recomend booking with them. Michelle will answer any questions and is always quick to reply!
30 September 2020 15:45
My husband and i LOVED this place! We stayed at an un-serviced campsite, nestled in the back. It was incredibly cozy, quiet and a beautiful spot. The owners were very welcoming and hospitable. Very clean, spotless bathrooms and everything so well maintained. Would recommend the camping area. Cannot wait to return!

UPDATE Sept 5th- We love the place so much we did return again to camp for a few days. The owners are truly hospitable. They take the time to speak to you, and make sure you are comfortable and content. The pride they take in running the campground is apparent. I cannot wait to go back, which sadly may not be until next year!
30 September 2020 8:00
What a joke on name of camp ground. Owner is very rude if you ask for something otherwise you will find him very nice. He charged us $200 for a small burn mark on table from gas stove. Very very disappointed. I do not recommend camping here.
29 September 2020 16:50
Great setup with various choices of privacy. Nice hiking trail.short enough for us mature people. 10pm noise regulation is great! Very quiet. Our first visit and will be back!
27 September 2020 22:55
We wanted to check out Algonquin Park rather last minute, but the park was completely sold out of car campsites and interior camping permits. Then we found Algonquin Pines Campground, which had tent sites still available for similar rates. It's only 15 minutes to Algonquin West Gate, or 25 to the Portage Store. It worked out perfectly! Camp sites were clean and a short jaunt to the clean and central washroom and shower facilities. There are a couple of nice local bakeries, restaurants and a small grocer/pharmacy a short drive along the highway. Campground staff were very friendly and attentive. Bonus: Be sure to check out the Oxtongue River-Ragged Falls Provincial Park, a day use park along the way to the Algonquin Park entrance. It has some short hiking with spectacular views of the Ragged Falls. Dwight Beach is also very close, a small beach but good for families.
22 September 2020 19:04
Great place to stay. New owners (this year) are super friendly and provide excellent service. Restrooms are very clean. Camp backs onto undeveloped property so the lot we had was like camping in the forest. Lots of pull through spots for larger campers and RVs. Our tent site was generously sized. Excellent experience.
19 September 2020 8:13
Totally enjoyed our week spent in the Cabin in the Pines. Michelle and Chance plus all the staff are helpful and considerate. The hoodies and t-shirts for purchase in the store are great quality.made sure we had 1 of each. We will be buying a trailer and hoping when that time comes there is room for us to park in the campground. Can't wait to return!
17 September 2020 23:44
Really nice place, kind staff! Beautiful trails beside the camp, and the beach isn't so far. Unfortunately the pool was closed because the Covid. The chopped wood that you can get there was as thick as my leg, so I went to buy an axe to make a campfire.
Thank you very much! It was a pleasant weekend!
09 September 2020 6:24
We had a great time, park was clean, sites were nice and quiet- it was a wonderful weekend escape! Would definitely recommend.
