The best in terms of Shawarma, the rice they prepare is delicious, and the meat is super juicy

Went in for a chicken shawarma platter had to leave with a wrap because there was no potatoes only a scoop of rice left.

Ended up getting the wrap which has nothing in it because they barely had anything to put in it.

I want at 7: 00 if you still have two more hours of being open make sure you actually have your products & if you are we going to talk about your customers make sure they leave the store first

Follow up to this review they have made it up to me and I have not had any problems whatsoever and have changed my two stars to a five stars!

Well I'm back a year later to say that the portion sizes have gone down but the prices have gone up.very unfortunate

For me … the BEST falafel ball … and every day have some promotion… beef and chicken shawarma is amazing!

Been coming to this place for 13 years. Was here a few days ago with my special needs client. They won't even give you a cup of water. Pretty sure that's illegal and what a completely sad world we live in.

Good healthy food for dine in or take out; location matters.this one at Dundas Street near Ronsensvales is the freshest and has nice staff.

Always fresh, reliable and delicious! Forget McDonald's, please give me 1000 locations instead! Also this is the best location, hands down. Friendlier, consistent and efficient. I challenge you to find a better location.

I have been going to this location for years and always loved the food.
Just had the beef shawarma and it's not good at all.
I eat lamb and it actually has an aftertaste of lamb.
Its dry and no flavour at all.
This is so disappointing because the food used to be great.

Ingredients in our wraps are always wrong. Last order I asked for no onions or garlic sauce. My wrap had both. My hot sauce was on my wife's wrap, she indicated NO hot sauce. Every order from here always has the wrong fillings. We'll give it one more try, if the order is wrong again. We won't order from here again.

Smelt good the moment I entered! Shawarma was great, but got pretty messy at the end. You should check it out.

Today has to have been one of my most memorable experiences yet. I've been going to this very location since being a kid. The owner has always been an amazing person and he's always has some pretty decent people working for him. But today the gentleman with long hair went above and beyond with how interactive he was. Making me and my sister feel very welcomed and glad to have walked in. Buddy, I tip my hat to you! True customer service and the food was exactly how I wanted it. (Get him to teach Lansdowne and Bloor)

The worst falafel plate I have had in my life. Everything was old and way too salty. The rice soaked up all my saliva in the first bite. I could not finish 1/4 of it. This place used to be good before they renovated it.

Truly the best Ali Baba's in town, possibly the original restaurant, but I'd be willing to stand corrected on that. It's shocking how different the restaurants are, but everything from the free salad with your platter, or the spices they use in the rice, the kind people behind the counter. This is by far the best Ali Baba's in the city, and one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants too.

Went for lunch today since I work in the area. Customers weren't wearing masks. Person working behind counter was very rude when I asked what the specials were. Chicken Shwarma didn't taste good. Being in Bloor West Village do not be rude to black customers. PERIOD.

Very good service however the amount of meat they put on their sandwich is beyond small.tasty but no value for money at all.do not recommend

Worst alibaba restaurant ever.beef shawarma with half a meat that they suppose to put.meat is also crispy instead of juicy.if you plan on buying shawarma just go the the next one at bloor/lansdowne. 5 minutes away at least they give you a decent portion of meat.

This is the original Ali Baba's location and still the best one. I've tried a few other, and I always say the same thing, "the original one is better". Food is always consistent and delicious.

Since I went pescatarian middle eastern food has risen to the top of the list. I mostly eat vegetarian options out, just because you can't be too sure how people cook their seafood or where it's sourced from. I love Ali Baba's because I always feel like I'm eating fresh ingredients that are nutritious and delicious.

Can't get enough of this place.the food is totally good and the prices are fair for the portions.and they have good specials during the week so can't complain.

I used to love this place with the different owners j am doing keto so I ordered the shawarma plate with salad. I literally got $1 with of salad. My daughter got the shawarma sandwich, which literally had scraps of burnt meat. The server did. It smile once nor did she respond to the hello. Will never return to this location again.

Excellent place for middle eastern cuisine. Loved their falafel options. Their platter is huge in quantity.staffs are ok abd service is good.hummus is very tasty here.

The food here is isn't good at all. I ordered a chicken shawarma sandwich and found the amount of chicken they give is small compared to other places; so I had to order extra chicken for $3 more. The worst part of that is I found 3 chicken bones (yes, three) in my sandwich. When I mentioned it to both people working there, they said and did nothing. Customer service is as bad as the food. Will never come here again and neither should you if you actually like good food.

By far the worst Ali Babas in the city.
I've consistently had my order been taken incorrectly.
It seems as if the staff try to give you the absolute minimum of shawarma, veggies, and tabouli. The only thing they are generous with (beyond eyerolls) is the sauce which leads to a dripping soggy disappointment of a wrap.

I would strongly recommend to put your money practically anywhere else.

No surprise to all the recent complaints about the customer service at this location. Was just there with my girlfriend and ordered a chicken shawarma plate and a veggie plate and it's very disappointing considering this was her very first time to an Ali Baba's restaurant that she found a hair in her salad. I barely was able to see it myself but then used the flash on my camera to get a better look and sure enough there was a short little tiny curly black hair and it. I took a spoon and scooped out that piece of it along with the picture that I took and went inside because we were on the patio to show the owners. I approached them and try to show them the picture and be low-key because I saw there were other people there as well and there was nothing low-key about the guy that was working there who is probably the owner because as I tried to show him the picture he kept saying to me how he didn't want to see the picture show me the hair in the food which was difficult to see under the lighting conditions and then he took a fork and moved it all around and said show me where the hair is I don't want to see a picture and buried it amongst the rest of the of the salad that was on the spoon. This has to be the worst customer service I've ever seen in an establishment and not only will I contact head office to try to have this place shut down but I will also call the Health Inspectors to be on them 24/7 because this place is a dump. I understand things happen and sometimes a hair might get into something but typically most restaurants would be very quick to apologize and give you your money back or replace the entire dish with something else but not these guys they just want to argue with me and make it look like I had to show some proof beyond the photograph that I posted. There was a woman there who asked me what I would like and offered my money back to me but I explained to her it was the principle of the man who was being so rude that I much rather let them keep the money because clearly they need it based on the small portions that they do compared to other stores and also explain that I much rather write a review about their restaurant to let the world know not to go there.

Good vegan options. But why, Ali Baba, don't you guys leave the garlic sauce (not vegan) off the potatoes and let customers decide whether they want it? Please?

Been coming here for 4 years best prices in town and best shawarma in the country, as usual jacob takes care of me every time!

The amount of food for the price is fantastic. First time visited, and the food was awesome. Had a quarter chicken platter.

Good place to visit if you're vegan and work in the area. You can't find a lot of vegan places on that Street.
Their shawarma wrap is pretty good too and portions are big.

Horrible place. Don't have menu items, subpar service, cold food, flavourless chickpea salad, and it's way too loud in here - they have loud music, a tv with half volume, and other noise

My friends & I order from here regularly at least twice a week & I've never had an issue. It's afordable, healthy, tasty & the staff are polite & efficient. There's also a cute oasis patio in the back which is perfect during spring, summer fall season (s). Just make sure if your not use to certain foods, sauces or herbs you may get sick, everyone's tolerance is different. I have no complaints & recommend this place to all my friends & family. Chicken Shwarmas are absolutely Delicious. I can not visit without getting shwarmas, samosas are superb with the garlic dip, perfectly crispy on the outside & juicy taseful filling! They also have these Grape Leaves filled with a rice mixture that you can dip in a sauce. I have to admit it may be an acquired taste, I recommend you try 1 first to see if you like them. And don't get me started on the baklava! I love them! This is my favourite place to visit!

This location sucks. If you want half the amount of food you would normally get from any other location, come here. Portion size is terrible.
