Ali Baba’s Middle Eastern Cuisine

NO HEATING cheap to offer basic neccessity to your patrons yet charging $18 for 2 average at best wraps cmon in this economy have a proper incentive or don't be in business at all don't go here especially if you want to dine in very dirty.

I had really bad experience with this restaurant. I ordered poutine, they asked if I wanted chicken one. I said okay after they charged me 15.81$ just for fries and chicken and found this poutine distasteful. I thrower it in the garbage. I asked them if they could get me chicken and rice, they wanted to charge for that as well. There were no prices written on their menu for chicken poutine. I’m attaching pic as well. I don’t recommend anyone to go there. Two ladies on reception have no respect for customers.

The owner is always so nice, when i come get food, plus their chicken shawarma is 100%. Get the spicy and garlic bbq sauce.

So pleasantly surprised by how this turned out. Wasn't expecting much because of the outside, but a wall of delicious aroma hit me as soon as I entered, got really well made felafels and got friendly service. Definitely the best Ali Baba's I've been to.

Finally a Middle Eastern restaurant that carries whole wheat pita & brown rice. The server was excellent & very nice.

Thé staff are warm and friendly. The food is fresh and always delicious. Not fast food. Wholesome and healthy

Fresh spread, tasty meal, excellent portions, good service and great price. What else can you ask for?

Food is good and usually there is no or just a small line up. They do a good job and are local. The last time I went there was my best experience at Ali Baba. My beef wrap was perfect and I didn't even have to ask for napkins.

Went to grab food for some visitors I was having over. The gentlemen working that day were great and gave excellent service. My visitors very much enjoyed the food! Thank you!

I decided to give Ali Baba’s another try (the first time was a letdown) and gave the fish platter a go.
I’m glad I went with this dish because it was quite good! It was seasoned white fish filet marinated in lemon, garlic, cilantro and various spices. It’s served with a basic salad, hummus, tahini sauce and ‘hot’ sauce (the sauce is actually quite mild). I added a side of garlic potatoes.
The whole thing was a nice medley of flavours. A nice tangy side from the tahini sauce and the turnips, a more neutral side from the hummus and the spices and hot sauce balanced it all together.
The fish was tender and had flavour and the rice was quite good in the sense that it was night and day different compared to bland steamed white rice. Overall, I highly recommend this menu item.

I tried garlic potatoes and it was amazing. It's a must try item especially for vegetarian people.

My purchase a few days ago was not that good the chicken in the shawarma was really dry and hard. Quite a surprise for me.

The worst place to eat. Very very rude. Zero customer service Instead of treating customers in a good manner they choose very rude way. No need to argue, talk loud or scream, very simple just correct your mistakes and make real children shawarma.the business owner should check yesterday’s the video how the younger one act and treat the customer.

I was waiting in the line, but cashier ignored me and started serving others. I asked for beef shawarma, cashier offered beef and chicken mixed, as beef was running out.
I again asked beef only. Guess what? The wraps were full of vegitable and very less beef.
Always had wonderful experience at this location, but not this time, cuz the cashier was lousy.

Please if you want to eat food and you are hungry do not come to this place i came home and my stomach still wiggiling dont recommend

Food is fresh and delicious.
Salads are fresh and the garlic potatoes are delicious.
I would highly recommend, on my last visit they forgot to put the lemon juice in the tabouli.

Everything was great, we tried some things a la carte, we could order whatever we waned how we wanted, staff was great and put up with all our questions about the cuisine with a smile. Wife discovered a carrots mango juice she has been searching for, from out of town, but will revisit whenever we can.

I’m not a regular, but I always enjoy the food when I do get it from here. Service is quick and friendly, prices are reasonable, restaurant is clean and seating is plentiful (when COVID decides to go away). They offer free wifi as well. They work with you to give you the meal you, d like and I have never had an issue with substitutions.
My only issue is I work nights and sometimes don’t get here in time to get a meal.
Oh, why only 4/5 stars then? Well nothing is perfect and there is always something to improve. Getting in and out of the location is hampered by the busy street it’s on. Making a right out of the driveway is easier than making a left. Picky? Sure. But there it is.

Decent food. Good staff. Interior looks super dated and questionable. Ali Baba's downtown Toronto is a lot better

The portion size, quality of food, friendliness of staff, hygiene and how late it is open, qualifies it for a 5 star review.

A definite must for people looking for great Mediterranean cuisine.

Almost every bite of our Chicken Shawarmas had either fat, grizzle or even bone. We ended up throwing half our Shawarmas in the garbage. Will never return.

Nice place, reasonable prices. Taste is good. Good choices of toppings and staff is friendly as well.

Excellent Middle Eastern food and reasonable prices, friendly staff but the TV was too loud and communicating with the person behind plexiglass shield was very difficult.

Great taste, fresh, and not cheap with toppings like other Ali Baba places like Weston or Dundas. Wish the wraps would not break. That’s my only complaint.

One of the worst shawarma and poutine i had in my life. The fries were not fried properly and the girl in the kitchen prepares the gravy only after placing the order which was too salty. Never recommend this place to anyone

There is guy that is always there I have to say he has the best customer service. His always nice and very polite because of him I keep coming back

Great take out place (pre & during covid). Fast service, highly efficient staff & good portions. My location favs are their lentil soup and pistachio baklava.

Not sure about the cooks at the other locations, but these ones do a great job!

Used to be my go to spot but service and quality has slipped as of late. The owner unfortunately needs to spend more time at this location. Mohamed was always friendly and provided a great experience.

It's great but sometimes I feel like am eating last night food I always go there it feels like the food it's not fresh to be honest sorry but I might be wrong I wish.but it's true

Tuesdays is Falafel day, me and my coworkers love it. The staff here are always friendly and attentive.

Had a excellent experience in here with my daughter. The food comes out quickly and the service is just great. Prices are affordable.

The customer service is consistently fast, excellent vibes, super nice employees. I will eat here again when I get in the area.

Refused to make any more wraps because there was a line. I told him I'd be more than happy to wait or go back in line but manager insisted the pitas were done even if they were right in front of everyone. Foods decent, I've been to way better locations.

These guys really know how to make shawarmas. Always go there when I don't want to take a chance on other similar places.

This is one of our favourite places. Food is always fresh, service is always great and the portion sizes are amazing. If you haven't been here you are missing out.

It was my first time there and I got the chicken shawarma wrap and loved it so I will be back again.

Even the best shawarma place in my hometown isn’t as good as Ali Baba’s. I feel this location gives more generous portions, which IMHO makes them the best of the best.

I ordered their food using door dash and the items were greatly different as they had shown in the pic. And food never be fresh cooked always smell like as fridge one.

The service is good, the food quality varies making it not excellent but not bad. It's just a place you come to time to time to grab a Shawarma when you're craving one!

Absolutely the best shawarma in the area. I love the consistency of this place. The place requires a little sprucing up, but I'm not here for the ambience.

I've eaten at a lot of alibaba's but I believe this one is the best run restaurant. The food is amazing and with very healthy size portions. The wait time for your food is really quick.

The food is incredible here. The restaurant could use a little rennovating, I mentioned it to them and they had a legitimate reason, their rent is quite high and they may relocate elsewhere.

This Ali Baba's has it right. The dark guy who's been there forever has got spectacular memory, the staff is always kind and the food is always fresh and on point. There us one location closer to me (Burnhamthorpe and Dundas) but is awful in comparison.

They were open late on Thanksgiving Monday. Walked in at 9: 30 pm after a flight. All the food looked still fresh. Got the chicken shawarma special, it was delicious!:)

Its very big and u can find anything u want, and they have nice food inside with resonable price and great service.

Food is delicious most of the time, I once had a samosas that tasted expired. Otherwise, I recommend getting the fish fillet wrap, amazing!

I really enjoy coming to Ali Baba's as I've only gotten great service and an enjoyable meal at a reasonable price. If you're in the area of Rexdale Blvd. & Martingrove Rd.then drop by for a filling and delicious meal! Highly recommend!

Good food! Always fresh.i forgot my wallet one time and since i go there frequently, they said it's fine. But business is business. I paid when i went back to eat again. Amazing customer service.my go to place when we don;t cook at home

They have there places built by hard working tradesmen and labourers and they turn around and screw them all over. Its absolutely disgusting. Couldn't even imagine whats really in the food. Beware people

Loved my lunch here. I came here with my friend and had a chicken leg with rice, salad.
Tasted better than it looked so don't go by appearance.

I’ve been going to the Rexdale location at least once every 2 weeks for the last 2 years. Good prices, nice staff.
Only one problem, they often run out of their specials. For example, today, they were out of falafel. I repeat out of falafel. I had to ask twice because part of me refused to believe it. They had no falafel on the Falafel Special Tuesday! At 6pm.dinner time. Right around the time people would be coming to order ‘the special’
The staff were very apologetic and in all fairness, its not really their fault.
However, this event made it ever so clear to me that they don’t make their falafel from scratch. Its all a pre-fabbed mix so when they’re out, they’re out!
Also their hummus is pre-fabbed and too. Likely everything on their menu is not made fresh.
I will still come back because the theyre specials deals are still good value. When they have them.

Food is great, service can get a little backed up at times meaning a bit of a wait but it's worth it.

I had the chicken shawarma plate. Big portion and tasted really good! The salad, in particular, was outstanding! A must-try if you're in the area.

Food was good and tasty. Good specials. Portions could be a little larger with the shish raoul though.
