This place has terrible service. I spent a lot and my food was wrapped poorly. Workers didn't put any effort into it. Avoid this place if you want quality.
Hands down the best Ali Baba in all of Toronto. When I first went, I was ignorantly going to buy a pretty standard shawarma wrap, but then saw the person in front of me getting the shawarma poutine. When I saw the cook put together the shawarma poutine.oh.my.god. It is the most glorious thing you'll ever see. Got it once, and is my go-to order. If I don't have it atleast once a week, I'd go into withdrawal. I always forget to take a picture because the sight and scent of it shuts my brain down leaving me with only my caveman needs of devouring it. Must try.
This Ali Baba’s location was not the best compared to the other stores I’ve been before. Food was okay, they put all the condiments in my chicken wrap and only asked if I like it spicy or not. Normally they would ask if I want everything but asking questions isn’t their forte. The staffs look tired since they don’t even greet you instead I was the one who greeted them LOL
The most cleanest restaurant the workers are amazing they’re very accommodating if you kindly ask them to change and item. Everything is fresh and clean one of my favourite locations️ Mashallah
I came to get a wrap and the order before me had ordered a wrap with extra meat, he ordered greek salad as a topping for the wrap (knowing it's extra of course) and when he asked for a little more the employee put (literally) 3 pieces of salad smirked at him and said he was going to be charged double. I don't understand how an establishment can condone such behavior with their customer service. When the consumer is already ordering a single wrap that will already be at above $20 and then to smirk about it is ridiculous. This is not the place to come to if you'd like to be treated well as a customer and don't want to be scandalled for your $. I'm disappointed in you Ali Baba.
Really liked the platter meal, great flavour! Good portions for the price & the service is great! The chicken is well seasoned & the fish is really tasty, with a hint of spicy, the falafel was soft & crispy outside, great balance of meat, rice & veggies, they are generous with the sauces. No matter what time you go the food is good. Some middle Eastern places are fresh only during peek times like lunch, I've been here for lunch & dinner & it was tasty.
My family and I had a wonderful experience at this place we were very pleased by the food, service & friendly staff, the food is just super delicious and fresh! I recommend to everyone and would like to come back here again.
This place is worst among all Toronto, s Ali Baba location. They will serve you burned chicken and beef. Veggies doesn’t look fresh. Employees care more about their phone rather customer. This place is a total Nightmare for any food.
I tend to visit two locations for Ali Baba's. The Yongw location and the Broadview and Danforth location. This location the platters are very nice, whereas the wraps are soso in my opinion. The Yonge location is the opposite, wraps excel and their platters are underwhelming. Food is overall very tasty, but I would suggest ordering over the phone to pickup as sometimes the wait can be a little long.
4.6 I would give this place. Great customer service, but what I like more so, is that they're clean. Food taste great, it actually got me liking "middle Eastern" food.
Never a disappointment and always open late! I live in East York now closeby but would travel from East Scarborough to have food from here. Always worth it. My fav is Beef Shawarma with double meat. Ty as always! P. S cheesecake is sold here too.
Great sharwamas, falafels, usually busy so be prepared to wait. Always worth the wait. I've been to other Alibaba's around Toronto but this one seems better than most!
Iam a regular customer …They are not providing enough quantity food at night…today @1: 00 am it was too low quality not worthit for normal price…i felt it 2nd time…day time and night time deffrent quantity…keep always same we are paying same pay.
Service is pleasant. Place is small. Line up starts as soon as u step in which leads to waiting outside if there's too many ppl inside. Be prepared to wait as it can take a long time. I was second in line and walked out prob 15 mins later. Food is prepared as quickly as possible by one person. They also take etransfer as payment - neat idea. Over all pretty good.
Amazing, no complaint. Ordered: Chicken shawarma ; delivered. The portion size is amazing at Ali Baba’s. I got one dinner for my partner and I to share. The chicken is flavourful and juicy, (never dry). The service is fast even on a Friday night peak hours! Rice is so good & hummus is great (good hummus is rare). Has flavours that remind me of my grandmas East Africans cuisine. Fresh as always. Haven’t tried other locations but Danforth is the place to order from.
The price differences between downtown and Broadview is too much. They offer LARGE wrap + fries + drink for $13 all inclusive. At Broadview location same thing costs $16 and doesn't even come with drink and it's a SMALLER WRAP.
Very decent place for the money! If you expect something gourmet for the price - you have to high expectations from the world, and the world usually doesn't oblige. If you expect decent food for decent money - this is a place to go. I go here often since I live in the neighborhood. The guys who work there are a bit informal, but they will do your shawarma the way you tell them. Don't just keep quiet and expect them to do it the way you might think what shawarma should be like.
There are a number of Ali Baba's in the city that offer pretty mediocre fair. This one and the one at Bloor and Runnymede consistently great quality food. Is it the best Shawarma? Probably not, but it's light years from being bad or even mediocre.
They don't serve the authentic shawarma. They don't use pickles. A shawarma sandwich is not a shawarma without pickles. Their other food might be great but I am only commenting on their shawarma sandwiches
Good food but there’s never been a time where I haven’t waited less than 20 minutes to even be acknowledged. No matter if there’s 2 or 5 people waiting ahead of me.
It’s good food but double the price of their competitors. A shawarma plate comes standard with rice salad and potatoes across any shawarma joint. They charge 6$ extra for the potatoes. A simple platter with a soft drink comes to 27$. I’m not sure who enabled that but tell them to call me.
They were very nice, very fast serving the wraps and their food tasted amazing, but one of them didn't have his mask on. That's a very important detail to take in consideration because they talk to each other while they handle your food.
In the GTA, there r a few good place where u can have a feast. This place is just right on, nice size meal and amazingly tasty and juice bites, the place looks spotless, and the staff is also friendly and kind. Strongly recommended for anyone who wants have something nice to eat.
Can't say enough good things about this place. Food is delicious and hot. Staff is always friendly. This is an extremely clean restaurant run by amazing people!
Great food, good portions. But last time I went there, what looked like the owner, was walking around the restaurant talking very loudly with no mask on (right by the spindle of meat too). No regard from that man about public safety.
The food is consistently fresh and yummy, cashiers hands out fantastic customer service. I really like how clean it is and mood. Would recommend to others.
This is certainly one of the most pleasant place in the neighborhood. Always when I go there I am absolutely pleased. They always keep their high level service and the highest level of food they provide. You definitely will enjoy this this place.

Average for middle eastern food. There are better choices such as Chamsine at the corner of Sherbourne and Queen. Chamsine food is fresher, and the portioning is larger. Danforth Ali Babas is okay if you are strapped for time or have no transportation.
I ordered samosas and potato wedges from Skip the dishes ; samosas were too burnt and Wedges were made in chicken oil. My guests were vegetarian and they didn’t even touch the box of wedges. When I called the store and spoke to the employee of the store; he instead started to argue with me and wasn’t helpful at all, no courtesy or manners.
I think the portions are way too small.a wrap with meat & all the veggies is about the size of a hot dog.if your not that hungry, then try it. Besides the size its just ok.
Great and friendly staff, food taste real good I only gave you 4 stars because only one crucial thing I noticed, your precautions with covid19 needs to be enhanced, not all the time sometimes there will be 2-3 employees behind the counter with no mask on, it scares me a lot when I see that, guys please be careful other than you guys are great!
I have been here several times only for the excellent chicken shawarma. Love it every time. Service is polite and prompt and satisfies every need. I highly recommend.
Do not go here, they do not clean their produce. There was dirt in my tabouli, and I found a rock - yes an actual little stone - in my food. Disgusting, had to throw out my whole meal.
