After dealing with chronic bilateral plantar fasciitis, Brandon and the wonderful Align team have me moving like a regular human again (and pain free too)! Every aspect of patient care, recovery, rehab, assessment, orthotics, footwear selection and more is handled with care. I cannot recommend this place enough if you have foot issues, or just want to be preventative. I travel specifically to come to this place, it's that good.

Hands down the only place I will ever go for all things foot related for me and my family! The amazing owners Darius and Teressa h built an epic team with an awesome chiropodist Claudia who educates the client! I brought my 5 and 12 year old to get assessed in addition to me and hubby!

The gait assessment was very thorough and insightful!

Claudia was able to identify an issue in my alignment and helped correct my foot issue! My Orthotics fit so well and easy to change between my shoes!

Cannot forgot to mention this place has the best selection of On Cloud runners which has been a game changer! AND this place does not pressure you to buy!

I am on my feet all day. Prior to wearing orthotics, I am always in pain during and after work, it is now my 3rd day wearing my custom orthotics and I feel GREAT! My feet feel like they are cuddled. The difference is day and night!

I had an amazing time at Align today! First off, the space itself was extremely clean, modern and luxurious. They offered me coffee/espresso, took my coat and directed me to Darius who my appointment was with. Darius was so knowledgeable and thorough with my posture and gait scan. He took the time to explain what was going on both structurally and functionally. They even got me to walk on a treadmill! We came up with a game plan of what type of orthotic would be best suited and what kind of rehab I could be doing to help strengthen and relieve my foot pain. I was able to bring in all my frequent footwear to ensure they’re a proper fit for my foot itself which was an added bonus. Lastly, their footwear selection is on point! Lots of beautiful choices (designer too- I was looking at Michael Kors sneakers specifically). Would highly highly recommend!

I’ve been wearing orthotics for years and this is hands down my favourite place to buy orthotics. The quality is better than other places. I like the technology they use - scanning your foot to make the orthotics and using videos to show what is happening when you walk. The ambience feels high end and the shoe selection is stylish. Amazing service. Incredibly knowledge, helpful, and passionate staff.
Brandon in particular has been instrumental in coming up with a treatment plan to help heal an injury by correcting my biomechanics, and providing custom fit orthotics to help alleviate pain and provide support.

I had a body align assessment with Braveenan he did a great job of thoroughly looking at my issue. I also bought new Vionic Slippers for the summer.

Update, follow up second visit:
Brandon was very helpful in picking the right shoes for me and helping me with detailed treatment approach. Also Chelsea was very sweet and helpful. I am so excited for my Orthotics!

Got aligners from them plus shoes and some food braces. $1,500 later and about 2h running in my new shoes I got severe back pain that I needed to go to Physio for. Also, it didn't help with my shin splints at all in fact, they started hurting even more.

It is so unfortunate that the owner (s) or who ever is responding to this, is making up stories to make a honest review look bad. I have not been rude to anyone. No one ever cried. If someone did cry and I was so rude, why were you asking me to come back to the clinic in your original response?

Seems like you have also edited your original response where you said "sometimes your staff is overbooked". If you would have seen this review as feedback to improve your practice and actually try to address my concerns - instead of trying to make me look bad, I would have had more respect for you. Everyone makes mistakes, but as many people have said, this owner is more concerned with their image than trying to solve the patient's problems.

I really hope that future patients do read this and keep all this is mind. Please find yourself another clinic that is truly competent in addressing a patient's concerns. It is so unfortunate that the owner tries to blame the customer who is making a honest review in an attempt to save their image, instead of trying to improve. Extremely unprofessional!

Dear align team,

I appreciate you taking the time out to respond to the issues I had at your clinic.

I unfortunately did not receive a call from Align. This may be due to the fact you may have been looking at another client as my appointment was more than 2 months ago (not a month ago as you had suggested).

Furthermore, you mentioned that the chiropodist - Catherine Duong, spent more time with me to try to address my foot concerns. I do not recall it being 20 minutes as I felt extremely rushed. This is probably due to your staff being overbooked as you stated. Moreover, if indeed she did spend more than 20 minutes with me (free of charge like you said), it is unfortunate that she - even with the extended time - was not able to correctly diagnose and treat my condition. Prescribing medications that are not needed only does harm to a patient.

In response to me being told what kind of appointments are available. It is not the job of the client to pick and choose the correct appointment type. This is something the receptionist should have been able to do based on my concerns. They should have put me in the correct appointment type. It is unfortunate they were not able to do so.

I hope you can use my feedback as a way to improve your services. I unfortunately do not wish to come back to Align, as I have lost my confidence in the ability of the staff to adequately address my health concerns. I stand by my initial review.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:

I wish I had the same positive experiences here as others have had. I have not had a chance to use their orthotic shoes, but I did have the opportunity to meet with their chiropodist - Catherine Duong.

I came here for a 10 minute assessment to get my ingrown nail looked at and a toe nail that had discolouration. During my consultation I felt extremely rushed and was not diagnosed properly. For example, I was told that the bruise on my toe nail was a fungus and I need to apply medication on it to remove it. It turned out that when I got the toe nail reassess, it was bruise that ended up healing by itself. Another example, was slight swelling near my the side of my big toe. I was given a strong pain killer and told to put medication on it to help reduce it. It turned out to be a hypertrophic scar and not a swelling that needed to be treated with medications. Pushing medications when they aren't need can cause serious harm and before giving them the chiropodist should have made sure that it was indeed what she thought it was.

It is possible these issues could have been avoided if they scheduled me in for a proper consult. I am not sure why they are offering a 10 minute consult when it just leads to misdiagnosis and stress for the chiropodist.

As a result, I would not come here again for any of my orthopedic/chiropodist needs. It is extremely disappointing that this all happened to me as Catherine Duong seems to be more than qualified on paper.

Had a lovely experience! Everyone was super nice and I learned a bunch about the reasons behind specific assesments/etc.

At Align,
I had a body align assessment with Brandon. He gave me a very detailed and comprehensive feedback on my body, the postures I use etc, most of which I had no clue about. Once the results came in and O got the orthotic, he showed me exercises I can do to correct them and it's very fascinating to see the mind body connection to correct the posture.

Give these guys a try for sure, the best in the business

Everyone at align was so friendly and the assessment was really thorough. I really enjoyed watching the gait video again afterwards because I was able to see where it could be improved. The chiropodist, Dr. Catherine, was amazing and they whole team went above and beyond to listen to my concerns and answer my questions with everything from the assessment to at home stretches to choosing the right footwear for my orthotics. I even ended up referring them to several friends & family members!

From start to finish, the experience at Align was great. I got my first appointment within a week of scheduling (there were closer appointments this one just happened to fit perfectly into my day). I got there and spent about an hour with Brandon going over every reason I could possibly need orthotics. The gate (treadmill) test did a great way of showing me problems I didn't even know I had. Due to 20 years of dance, and working two 12-hour shift jobs, I had a lot of unique and highly customizable needs for my orthotics, but Brandon covered them all. My orthotics were ready within 2 weeks. I'm bad at following advice, so instead of easing into my orthotics I wore them for the first time the next day, all day on my 12-hour shift. It went great! I had some original discomfort from now having this extra piece of hardware in my shoe, to not even noticing. Didn't have any pain following my shift, which has never happened. Would recommend Align to anyone, and will definitely be coming back for different shoes.

They are unfortunately on the more expensive side, but it is worth it. They follow you long-term, not just on the first appointment and send you away. It is also covered by my insurance, but check with yours first. You do have to pay everything up front and then get reimbursed.

The facility is small, but nice. Lots of different shoes to show how orthotics can fit into your life.

Detail oriented approach to foot health. I have purchased numerous orthotics and surgical stockings from Align and have been extremely pleased. As an athlete, I have enjoyed comfort and performance.
For my dress shoes, I've enjoyed luxury, style and longevity.
I have also purchased 2 knee braces and both are the best I've ever used. For comfort, safety and performance.
Very expensive but really is the best of the best.

Brought my son in to Align to get fitted for orthotics after he was complaining about foot pain. He had an hour long initial assessment with Brandon, who took great care and made sure my son was comfortable during every step of the process. During the assessment, Brandon answered our questions and made sure to share his findings with us, in a way that made it easier for my son to understand. We highly recommend Align and are looking forward to returning.

Trust me stay away theres alot of better places then this place I had someone analyze the orthotics I got from these guys and they did not match my feet or my new pair that I got from my new place just trust me dont want too get into too much details about this place save your money and get a real pair from a real place not a boutique box shop

Cathy did my "pedicure" and my assessment! She was very professional and educated me very well on my body alignment. She confirmed my leg length discrepancy that I have suspicious of since my second pregnancy! Great experience. And i love my new Asics shoes that Cathy recomended. Highly recommended!

Very happy with the service they provided. Extremely thorough with their assessment, also provided a detailed copy of the assessment for my new custom orthotic insoles. Very current with their 3D scan of my feet that catches every contour. Staff is very pleasant, showroom and consultation rooms are very clean. Pricing was very reasonable to my surprise, also if you are not sure of what your insurance covers they can find that out for you. If your are looking for services for custom orthotics such as insoles or custom orthotic footwear this is the place for you!

It's my second time getting orthotics from Align, but definitely not the last. Was a bit sad to learn that Carlos is gone, but Tavish took care of me all the same. Align has a great vibe from the moment you walk through the door. It is inviting, modern and comfortable. Staff is super pleasant and polite. I have been struggling with foot pain for years. However, after a very professional consultation with Tavish I now have the tools to improve my foot health. Furthermore I was able to pick up a beautiful pair of Mephistos in a very desireable colour scheme. Highly reccomend this place to anyone who wear shoes.

I thought the happiest day of my life was my wedding day 31 years ago.then came today August 11/20 when Darius and Terresa completed my fitting for new orthotics and brand new pairs of amazingly comfortable sandals/runners and dress shoes. A few weeks ago I went into Align to browse and take a Body Align Assessment. My husband had been at me for years to get a proper assessment but I didn't want to wear "old lady shoes" as i figured that was what was going to happen. Well to my surprise the pleasant atmosphere allowed me to look at an assortment of shoes from Michael Kors, Ted Baker, Bugatti, Sketchers, Clarks and so much more.all at my own pass and then Darius completed a detailed assessment on my VERY FLAT feet. Darius then gave me exercises to improve my gate and foot range of motion. When I slipped into my shoes today I was so happy at the comfort and that it was crazy awesome that I did not even feel the orthotics. I was blown away.never in my wildest dreams would I have ever guessed that shoes could be this comfortable and good for me at the same time. Thank you so very much Darius and Terresa. I can't wait for the fall and winter selections to arrive.
