Alima's Roti and Pastry

Poor poor poor customer service by a Trini staff at front, I was regular to Alimas and me and my friends/family won’t be back anymore. There is confusion between customers on pick up and order line and few of us waited in a wrong line and service was denied for me and gentleman in front of me whereas rest of all in front of us was given their pre ordered pickup. We requested the next line customers if we can be accommodated as we’re waiting there for almost good 25 minutes and this particular staff at front even denied this. And this same lady served few other Trini customers before us and me and the gentleman in-line before me were are from different nation. I believe this was a racist behaviour from this staff, she even threatened the customer who accommodated us to be in the pickup/order line saying if you want to order or else to move away from the line. Sorry, this is unacceptable and very poor customer service. I placed my order at 11: 00 am was given a pick up time at 3: 00 pm, was there inside store since 2: 50 pm, waited in line till 3: 25 pm to face this racist and rude behaviour from this staff, I had guests waiting at home for food. Just because of 1 persons arrogance the whole dinner plans for a dozen of individuals are ruined. Very bad and shameful act, you didn’t have to ridicule me and the other customer in front of other customers who clearly understood what happened. Hope this is not what the management or owner promotes or would like to be reflected on their behalf. Be polite, kind and patient to each other.

Definitely recommend their paratha.

But chicken and lamb wraps were not as good as I was expecting. Wraps included paratha as outside layer with chicken or lamb thick curry with potatoes inside.

They make the best paratha. In town. I can only give you My rating only the take out.
There are no dinning.

I can't belive the unprofessional behaviour of the people working here.
I order and came about half an hour before closing, picked up my doubles and the lady said to me 'someone ordered all these polouri and never came. I'll give it to you'. I said no thank you, she insisted I was like okay, I ordered like $20 more in food I got. Extra tamrind sauces & pinetarts, paid about $70 all together which is fine I was feeding like 5 people.
Omw out the lady who ordered her polouri came, these people stopped me at the door put thier hands iny bag n said no sorry we are taking this back I was like can you make her new stuff its already in my bag I'm sure she doesn't want something I already put my hands all over, they said no.
Proceeded to grab the bag out my hands, take stuff out my bag, scream at me, accuse ME of stealing, bro get right that's not right that's not how you treat customers, actually that's not how you treat people! I would NEVER recommend this place. I can't believe the behaviour of these people, that's wrong. Do better, your wrong.

Alima's Roti and pastry shop is a very popular place for Roti paratha, pastries, cakes, Chatinies, and other accessories. They have a Caribbean style food.
This place is vary busy any time although it is located in an industrial area.
They have many kinds of Roti paratha with different kinds of filling.potatoes filling paratha is also a vary famous Roti paratha.
I love the plain one.

Had 2 Aloo pies, they were ok. The sauce provided wasn't closed properly, it leaked out in the bag?
Otherwise, it was ok.

I have been ordering food from you guys from since you opened.supporting you guys atlesst twice a month. I asked you guys to support me by allowing me to put up my family day event poster inside your venue to help with ticket sales and you guys hid my posters in the kitchen. I will NEVER order from you guys again.you guys are NOT for the west Indian community AT ALL

Have been looking for a good Roti for many years after a lot of disappointment finally found it.

Use to visit this location very often. Had all the dhalpuri options and it's always 10/10! BUSSIN! Unfortunately if you love your pepper sauce hot n spicy this place has pepper that's more citrus/sour. However, I wouldn't recommend doubles or aloo pies from here. Hate to disappoint, but it's microwaved. Hot on the sides and cold in the middle.

Was craving a roti today and I remembered one in the area I was driving in. I stopped in and got an excellent boneless chicken roti today! The sauce was just enough, it didn't fall apart in my hands and the roti shell was just perfect

Food changed from four years ago. Changed to 2 stars.

April 1 2022 Husband and I had their curry chicken wrap.didn't even taste like Trinidadian style curry seemed to have an east Indian twist to it. Also had their doubles.if you can call it that.very very dry and not tasty at all.

The good thing, the wrap had a hair in it and they replaced with a new one. And their chicken pies taste good.

Do better Alima!

Best roti shells in the area. Always fresh! Reheat the next day or freeze it and it’s still great.

Cashier was warm & nice & helpful, she help me decided what i really wanted. Short wait time. Placebwas clean & tidy.

Alima's is it! They cook just like my granny did so I know it's good. This is home cooking West Indian food at its best. You have to check them out.

They're not the same as it was. Employees doesn't even know their own menu. Wouldn't recommend.

This is must try Roti place, even though they look Caribbean all Indian must try their Roti insanely good. The coconut rolls pastries are my favourite. The curries are also good but it is semi-dry.

The food was really good but the lady who took our order near the entrance was extremely rude and impatient. Regardless of how busy business may be you should always treat customers nicely and accommodate them in a professional manner.

Our family and friends have been their customers for many years. Over the years we have seen their product offerings increase, but quality and service has remained great. Thanks!

Oh man, this is one of the best spots I think I have ever visited. The doubles were some of the best things I have ever eaten.the hot sauce was spicy and floral and perfect.this place is perfect.

Go-to for doubles. Boneless chicken roti is different than many in the GTA - consider it above average - as it's a more traditional style. Recommended.

Their Patties and Curries are amazing (fresh or reheated Properly!)
But they do all kinds of great Caribbean foods, baked goods, sauces, ready made & take home available.
Line up can get long! But they have a socially distanced lineup&setup. Totally worth the wait. Try the chicken patties or lamb curry

An old staple of mine in Brampton. Moved away and came back to visit, it's still just as good. Glad to see they are still keeping busy with everything going on. One of, if not the best Roti place in Brampton.

Best roti around and their prices can’t be beat. Anytime I have large functions I buy their roti. It’s delicious and their serving sizes are HUGE!

We were referred by a friend to try out the Caribbean Foods at Alima's Roti & Pastry. Their food, preparation, spices everything is very well balanced and tempting. The prices are very reasonable too.

We initially tried their Doubles, Cheese Rolls, Paratha & Roti Wrap (Potato filling) at different times & liked everything so well that on next visit we purchased their full box of Paratha's for us in addition to a full big box of Cheese Rolls. The combination of vegetables + spices is very well made and always fresh. The Doubles are perfect: not watery (dont have lot of curry) and are mildly spicy. The Paratha's are incredibly tasty like Punjabi Rumali Roti. Cheese Rolls are a much better snack than Tim Horton's Hashbrowns, with Tea Ha Ha

Ratio between chickpeas and dough is perfectly balanced. Both mild and medium are great.

I had the doubles or what I like to call them "dirty diapers". I must say that they are absolutely stellar. Definitely suggest this place.

Randomly found this place when driving by. Tried doubles (outstanding 5/5), chicken & potato roti (excellent 4/5) and lamb roti (also excellent 4/5). Great service and reasonable prices. Will definitely stop here again if I am back in the area!

I find if you're charging me $13.95 for a roti with lamb, I should be eating lamb not potato and roti with 3 tiny pieces of meat. The reason for 2 stars is the roti, the curry however had no taste.

The food is absolutely amazing and nothing can beat the fudge here! Definetely deserves 5 stars!

This place has awesome Guyanese food, and Doubles. Have tried many things here and have never ever been disappointed.

As usual, the food is excellent. The service was fast and social distancing is in effect. The doubles had just the right amount of pepper, it was tasty. My children enjoy the poultry. Sorry, I forgot to pick up the coconut rolls. ; excuse for another visit soon

Alima's food is healthy and appetising, I live alone and doesn't always have time to prepare my own meals so the cooks are my Chef. I totally recommend trying their menu. The prices are very reasonable and amazing portions. This is a 5 STAR.

Love this little treasure hidden on steeles. Great Halal Caribbean food. The Daal puri is amazing. Great curries and wraps. Their parathas are super fluffy. Great customer service. Quick service with a smile. My go-to place for their amazing doubles! Don't miss it if you are in the area. They are always busy, but the quick service never keeps you waiting for long.

Been coming here since I was a kid with my mom. Alima's is great, super fresh, always has, and still is. Prices has gone up on things, but that's a business, totally worth the extra $. We love getting the Chicken Pies, Cheese Rolls & Pine tarts on the regular. The wraps & doubles are pretty good if you're feeling for a taste of back home! Great option at this time with Curbside pick up too! Thank you Alima's for always taking care us, stay safe!

Meat patties are delicious. Chicken curry and roti tastes ok, but no heat at all. Needs some wiri wiri added. And the size of the roti is a little large.

Surprised at how good the food from this industrial unit was. Dont let the surroundings fool you.this is great quality Trinidad home food. Very reasonable prices. Will return now I know where it is.

The food here is always amazing! The delivery driver Joe is punctual and friendly. Always takes the precautions for safety and makes sure I get my Alima's.

Got order wrong and did not want to admit they were at fault and/or rectify the issue. Extremely poor customer service and does not care if you return or not. No company is perfect, and every business is going to make occasional mistakes but knowing how to deal effectively with ​customer complaints is important in valuing your customers comments and their business. How you handle customer complaints will determine if the customer comes back to your restaurant. This was not the case as the issue or concern of this customer was not taken care of and brushed off as non the less important.

I am a loyal customer with Alima since 2003 until now their farata n dholl puri are fantastic and now they do deliveries -Wonderful -Thank you all Alima's staff for the great work

Nice for a quick bite, I enjoy coming here most of the time but doubles are inconsistent.sometimes perfect, sometimes very dry

We love their food. Hubby always passes by to pick up their beef pies and chicke pies and cheese pies. BEST PIES I'VE EVER HAD. Whenever my husband says he is going to pick some up, my mouth starts to water lol.

Sorry to say that for the first time in 10 years I am disappointed with my most recent purchase from Alima's! I order my curry chicken separate from my roti. The bottom of the curry container as filled with doubles filling and curry chicken on top. Not what I paid for. If you don't have enough curry chicken, don't take the order! Really disappointed, never thought this would ever happen at one of my favourite restaurants. Where has your integrity gone, obviously out the door!

Nice tasty chicken roti at a good price. My dad was a Trinidadian roti connoisseur and this was his favourite shop in the Brampton area. I stop by whenever I am in the area.

This place had a hiccup the other day I'm hoping.chicken curry roti tasted spoiled/tasted weird and way too many potatoes than chicken. If I want a veggie roti I will order that! I ordered a chicken curry roti it should b mostly chicken plz. The doubles r good and the frozen roti in a package of 10.

Amazing roti. Best roti in the GTA. Fresh, great portion and their curries are amazing as well. Recommend to everyone! Also, they offer frozen curries to take home which is great to save for later or for students like me!

Best Rotis and curries in GTA! They are also very pleasant and courteous, and tend to give a small sweet snack or tart to my elderly mother at no charge!
