I purchased 10 hours of lessons before taking my G exam. Overall, my experience was mixed-I got along well with my instructor and re-learned some valuable tips for "hard" skills such as parkings, emergency stops, and three-point turns. However, after my exam, I felt disappointed that it seems my instructor did not know the exact requirements of the G exam. The hard skills are important to know, of course, but they are not currently included on the G exam at all. I unfortunately failed my exam on the first try partly because of missing "traffic checks" and not moving my head while checking my mirrors. When I reviewed the score sheet and checked the Ministry website, I realized that traffic checks are a MAJOR part of the G exam and are included on almost every skill. For example, this means checking your mirrors and surroundings before, during, and after every stop sign (the examiner said your head needs to be "on a swivel"). I didn't realize how frequent and specific traffic checks are on the exam, and I didn't know I would be asked to move my head while checking mirrors. If my instructor had mentioned or known about these requirements, that would have helped me a lot, and I probably would have passed on the first try. As well, this means I paid for 10 hours of lessons during which I was not practicing those traffic checks and head movements-which feels like a bit of a waste of time and money in hindsight. My instructor was very surprised that I failed the exam and had expressed certainty that I would pass. This leads me to believe that the instructor wasn't aware of the full requirements and criteria of the G exam. I was surprised because I know my instructor is knowledgeable and experienced. Maybe the examiner was too strict, but regardless, I had to pay extra money to take the exam again and use the instructor's vehicle again. As I mentioned, I got along well with the instructor and learned some valuable skills, but there was more I could have and should have learned in terms of the specific tasks and skills covered on the exam. Ultimately, I passed on the second attempt after doing my own study from the Ministry website about the exam requirements.

I also found the scheduling system a bit difficult and stressful. Arranging lessons by text message and not always reliably receiving a prompt response wasn't the best approach for me. I appreciate that some individuals may prefer the flexible nature of booking lessons. I'd prefer to have some kind of online portal where I can reserve time in my instructor's calendar a couple of weeks in advance.

Took a 2hr G2 lesson and test. Jamal helped me to pass and get my G2. Thoroughly reviewed parking and traffic rules.

Passoon was a great instructor. Got my G2 licence on my first attempt. He prepares you fully well for your test. Gives you tough love but on THE day nothing surprises you. Definitely recommend.

I had a fantastic experience with All Star. My instructor Raky was incredible. He took me all around the city so I was comfortable driving in different situations, and he taught me lots of useful tips for parking. I always enjoyed our lessons and he made me a much more confident driver. Not only was he a fun teacher, but he taught me everything I needed to know for the test and I passed first try. HIGHLY recommend!

Shakir is awesome instructor, I ever seen. Passing test is not prominent until u can’t drive safely and I passed my test with all safety instructions.

My instructor Shakir was amazing helping me prepare for my G2 test. I passed on the first try on a very rainy day thanks to his guidance. I has a lot of test and driving anxiety and Shakir worked tirelessly to ensure I felt safe and did my best. I would recommend him to anyone. I joined All Star driving school and Dinesh was my instructor. He was a great teacher! Each lesson he was calm and taught me the fundamentals to pass my G2 test on the first attempt. I recommend doing the drive test in Dinesh's vehicle, as he offers a driving lesson the day of the test which prepared me well.

All Star Driving School provides excellent driving education, both for theory and on-the-road skills. My instructor Danesh was extremely knowledgeable and professional. My lessons with Danesh not only helped me to pass the G1 and G2 road tests, but also become a much better driver. I highly recommend Danesh as an instructor.

My experience with all star driving and the instructor Ms Farah was amazing! Her classes were very educational and also so fun to participate in as she held a bunch of fun activities and group activities to do to get to know our road rules and peers! Learning with her in car I had a great experience! She is super kind, caring, patient and optimistic:) never a dull moment and I never left the lesson upset, I found myself leaving the lesson always more confident and excited for my next lesson with her! I also passed my g2 test first try at Downsview driver test center which considered one of the harder test centre’s in the city! I would definitely recommend any new first time drivers to take their lessons with Ms Farah for both the in class portion and the in car portion!

Do me a favour and ASK FOR FARAH! I cannot recommend Farah enough - she is truly one of a kind and I learned EVERYTHING about driving from her. She was with me from the very beginning … writing my G1, preparing for my G2, and now finally passing my full G (on an icy winter day no less!). She has a way of making you feel calm and focused when you’re in the car. Honestly I’m actually quite sad that there are no more tests left to take because this means I’ve graduated from Farah’s services.: (she really is the best of the best, you could not ask for a better instructor. I had the opportunity to have Dinesh as my Driving Instructor! He was amazing and very knowledgeable. The lessons were efficient, and well put together. We covered everything. I would recommend Dinesh to anyone, passed my g2 first try with no problems at all!

I passed! The course was a little dry and long (did online), but was very informative.

My instructor- Dinesh- was really amazing. He was calm and gave instructions well in advance and noted what you did right, and could have done better on. Was very soothing on the nerves for my first times behind a cars wheel on the road ever.

I don't think I would have been as confident going in without him.

I got my G license today and all the credit goes to my Instructor Farah.
I have been driving for more than 10 years but being a new driver in canada I wasn’t confident for the G drive test but i cleared the test in 1st attempt with Farah’s guidance.
She is really skilled and helpful, she helped me gain confidence on the highway and pin pointed my pros and cons time to time which helped me prepare for the test.
Farah is a very excellent instructor and i will highly recommend her.

My instructor was not ponctual, patient or professional. Would multitask and work on his phone while we were driving.

He would also play loud voice messages, or background sounds on his phone while I was driving which was really disturbing. He was not focused on what I was doing.

His communication was limited and he seemed to get annoyed when I asked questions.

It was a very poor experience.

At the end of the exam he said it was his responsibility to drop me off at my destination. However he seemed to be in a rush so I had to take an Uber on my own expense.

All this while paying about $80, per hour.

I definitely do not recommend this place.

Jamal helped me to drive confidently and explained all rules best, I got great feedback from my examiner and I passed my test G2. It’s a good school for new drivers. Recommend it.

I had a fantastic experience with All Star Driving School. My instructor Mr Ali Mohsin really made the test experience very smooth from getting the practice to the day of the test. My Father and I both got G from G1 on the first try thanks to him. Definitely recommend his expertise on this.

Imtiaz was AMAZING! He was so patient with me while I was taking my lessons for my G2. When I didn’t pass my first test, I was so upset and cried in his car. He assured me that it would be okay and that he would help me pass the second time. He drove me all the way out to Peterborough for my second test and was so encouraging that I would be able to pass. And then… I PASSED! He was so excited and I was so grateful. Thank you so much All Star for giving me a 5 star experience, and an amazing instructor. Thank you so much Imtiaz!

All Star made the process so easy to get started and contact my instructor. Naeem was my instructor and he knew everything that was to be expected on the test. He went out of his way to give me extra lessons and took me to a drive test centre out of the city to do my test.

Mian was a great teacher, was very patient and did a great job helping out with improving my driving

DINESH is the name of the game! 100% recommend him! Knowing how to drive is one thing and knowing how to “teach” is another. He knows both equally well! He gave me ample tiny tips on how to manoeuvre smoothly and safely, which I wasn’t told about at all from my previous instructor Naeem. So glad to have chosen DINESH as my driving instructor!

Excellent experience with this driving school. My instructor was Ali Mohsin Sir, who helped with clear G exam in the first attempt. In my case I was trying from G1 to G directly, and I passed!:)

Ali Sir will help you focus on what is needed to pass the examination, he has a very clear idea on examination structure and provides good feedback and tips. He will also help you get mentally prepared for the exam so that you are confident to give the test.

Ali Sir has excellent behaviour throughout all classes and will remain courteous even if you make mistakes. He will teach you patiently until you master the requirements of the exam.

Highly recommend Ali Sir to people from all backgrounds wanting to clear their driving examination whether G or G2. All the best!

This was a great experience and Dinesh was my driving instructor. He is an amazing teacher who is super kind, flexible and great personality. He never gets mad at you when making a mistake and is always reasonable with expectations. I passed first try due to his ability to effectively teach me over a short time span.

My driving instructor Farah went out of her way to properly and quickly prepare me for the G test. I was very nervous and her encouragement made me feel comfortable and confident. I only had a week to prepare and I passed on my first try! I would highly recommend her to help you successfully get through the process of getting your licence!

I had five in-car lessons (2 hours each) with Mo before going for the G road test after not driving for 4 years. I passed the G test on the first (and last) attempt! Woooooo!

I would highly recommend this place. Dinesh my driving instructor was excellent. I am a first time driver, I am nervous at the wheel but he managed to teach me patiently and that way I built my confidence in the road. He teaches all the techniques that he knows so that it would be easier for students. Thanks Dinesh for the knowledge that you shared with me.

Best school ever, absolutely recommended, If you want to pass your test. Instructor was super nice, I can’t believe he teach me for the first time learning every type of parking and going out of streets one hour before my test, and I passed my test.

My driving experience at All Star Driving School was great. Faray was a very patient and experience instructor, who took the time to ensure I was ready for the road.

I got my G2 licence under 1st attempt with Shiraz as my driving instructor. He is one of the most patient and skilled driving instructor I have seen. He was very helpful in explaining all the rules, gave useful tips to pass the exam and was extremely respectful and patient in correcting mistakes. Highly recommended to learn all tips and pass the road test in 1st attempt.
