What a special experience it was being able to bring my daughter to the same bookstore I grew up visiting as a child. An amazing selection of books even antique ones! Please make this a special stop if you have not done so yet!

The largest book store I've ever seen that wasn't an indigo. Incredible selection, amazing staff, will stop by every time I'm in North Bay!

Been coming here since my son was born who is now in his 20's! Still an amazing book shop:)

Nowadays everyone is so into technology, you can do everything on your phone.

I was only inside for less than an hour but was amazed by the amount of books to browse through. New and used books all in very good shape to. I could have spent hours there if I had the time. Very clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. I shall return to this store.

The idea of happiness is to stop and smell the books. What a great shop. I've beening buying books here since I was a kid. I remember sitting on the floor reading through all the soap digest magazines. And spending all of my allowance here. Now 35 years later I still stop in to grab my favorites. Friendly and local is where the loyalty is at. Customer service and the book selection is on point. Thank you for investing in our community. So grateful for your whole team.

If you're looking for a certain book there is a good chance it is here. The staff are friendly from the interactions my wife and I had and their store is huge. Very large book store.

This is my go-to place for meeting my reading needs. My favourite authors. John Grisham, Bernard Cornwell, Conn Iggulden, Ken Follett, Wilbur Smith and Lee Childs are always well-represented. And use of their online services to find other sought-after books is helpful.

I stopped in this bookstore on a road trip and I was thoroughly impressed! This store has it all, there were new, used, and even some free books! I love the layout of the store, it was clean and organized. The used books were in great condition. Staff and patrons were very friendly. I highly recommend stopping here:)

Great little book store with new and old. Parking right in front and beside it off the road. Request books and they call you when they get it.

This is a great book store and has almost everything you're looking for and the best part is that it's local.

Just stopped in their parking lot to eat homemade sandwich however years ago used to go there every Wednesday night for beer and chicken wings which were very good

There's a lot more to this store than meets the eye. If it's your first time set aside enough time to browse the enitre collection.

I just happened to park in front of their store as I was going to the church across the street. Of course I had left a good size box of books at the cottage, not realizing that I would be so close to the Bookman. I really enjoy this store and have stopped at a different location of theirs before. I will be back in the spring with some books and I will be looking for more.

Great selection and amazing prices for new-gently used books! Can be a bit confusing to navigate but you could easily get lost in the titles for hours!

Very good book store. We dont live in North Bay, however we visit regularly. Every so often we visit Allison the Bookman to pick up a book. The staff has always been really friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating.

The store has a vast selection of books which are fairly easy to find. Parking is free along the side of the building, but very limited and narrow, but theres also parking on the street, which I think is free on weekends. I haven't gotten a ticket yet if its not. We have an account there, with a pretty good credit system. With this system I paid three dollars for a ten dollar book.

I have shopped at Allison's for yers and the service is great. I prefer hard over books and they have a great selection. The store is well organized so i can find what i want easily and if not help is always available

I could just wander the shelves forever. Even though it's used books they are all in really good condition. Great deals on new books too.

AMAZING bookstore. Was able to find many books that I wanted. Staff are very friendly and helpful, even letting us bring our dog inside.

Located in Downtown North Bay, Main Street. I was told there is 2kms of bookshelves. Mostly old books and a small section for new books; my understanding is that much is donated. Rare book section. Any early print is rare if you ask me. I live 3 hours south, will not stop me from ordering books from their online catalogue, via mail. Please visit if you love books. You won’t find it anywhere else.

Wide selection disappointed with staff would help me find books I was looking for despite saying they had a copy after 2nd time I went to front Left without the book. Great selection. Also I have large credit from bringing books in. Cant use on new book and only 1/2 on used books. I'll be dead before I spend that much.

Some of the staff are friendly and helpful, others.not so much. When customers are asking questions, the staff shouldn't be confrontational. Answering questions is your job. Since the daughter took over, just been steadily going downhill. Credit only on used books? I can understand only using it for half. Just not worth going there anymore. I can get the books new online for less.

Wonderfully large collection of mostly well loved books in great shape. You could spend hours just browsing but end up with some great finds. I visit North Bay once a year from Buffalo N. Y.and always make it a point to stop in. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Allison's has just about any book you can imagine! The staff are always really helpful. If I'm looking for something specific, they always know immediately where to find it - and if they don't have it, 9 times out of 10 they will have something else that is suitable.

Absolutely LOVE this store! Could spend an entire say and my paycheck in there! Lots of different books for everyone.

Allison's is such a wonderful place to go for browsing and book shopping. I always go here first when looking for new books.

Great price on magazines and a pretty thorough and good selection. I'll definitely be coming back to see what other magazines come into the store in the future. Fun place to look around and browse. Lots of rows of shelving and everything's well organized.

I really enjoy the old books the only problem is that some of the books are priced higher then the original price
