Have had Car insurance for 5 years with Allstate, looking to get renter insurance, the eventual reply.you have to have already had renters insurance for 180days before we will approve you for renters insurance

Office is never open, no matter the day of week. Always a sign on door saying us website or phone, when I've stopped by.

Allstate needs to get rid of the contact us on the website and clearly state only phone us.

Used the contact us 3 times on website no reply or contact. I had to track down email address of someone I talked to month (s) before, last time I went through this. Answer was phone someone at number provided (just like previous time)

Expect not to have an actual agent. Someone new every contact. Wait times worse than trying to reach Bell. No In-person Kingston office. Had an agent for three months but ALLSTATE underwriters overruled his insurance offer. Took 3 3-hour calls to cancel all of our insurance.

In the past I have been very happy but I have just received my renewal. It has gone up over $200 from last years renewal? When trying to contact the Kingston office I just listened to the same recording for over half an hour before giving up. No agents in the office to go and see anymore.

I’d like to acknowledge the wonderful service I received via phone today while speaking with Andy Goddard. Andy was able to provide wonderful customer service and clearly analyzed my situation and took the best steps to ensure the situation was handled correctly. On top of his wonderful service and detailed explanations, he also ensured that myself and my family received the best rates on our insurance policies and generated some savings on our plans (who doesn’t love savings? !). I am so pleased with the service I received today, and I hope that Andy can be recognized for his wonderful work. The Allstate Kingston office has been so helpful, and I will be sure to recommend this company to friends and family! Thanks again Andy for being so helpful!

No physical access to an agent in the office. Drove 40km to sit with an agent and discuss policy changes only to find a locked door.
A posted sign redirects you to call, only to remain on hold for 20min. Quite a sad state when you can see their mail laying all over the floor through the door, really makes you feel like you’re “In good hands”
For the money you pay annually for this “service” you’d like to think the delivery would be far better.

Addition…did precisely as asked in the reply to this review and sent them a detailed email. My reply from Allstate was to call my local office. This redirects to the the 800 line…right back to square one. Utterly frustrating!

It would be nice to have a call back rather than useless automated replies.

Who's insurance goes up by 60% in one year with no infractions or claims?
They wouldn't/couldn't offer me any reason why.
Now I have a new insurance company, with all of my business.
I wouldn't recommend this Allstate office, or Allstate in general.

I spoke several times to your agents, the were unfriendly and seemed disinterested in retaining me as a client. I have better coverage now with my new insurance provider for less than what I was paying before your ridiculous price increase.
I gave written notice that I would not be renewing 3 weeks prior to my renewal and you still took my renewal payment out. I'm pretty sure that's stealing since you were not authorized to continue to do so. Now I'm still waiting on a cheque to come in the mail. It should include an apology for the inconvenience, however I'm sure it will not.
Once again I do not recommend this Allstate office.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of hitting a deer while driving home at dusk. I immediately phoned our insurance agent, Rhonda Jarvis, from the Kingston office, who calmly and reassuringly stepped me through the process. At no time did I worry about the next steps and felt 100% better after talking to her. She gave me phone numbers to call, reminded me of my insurance policy number, as I totally couldn't think straight and she really listened while I explained exactly what happened. I realize now that my agent is not the claims department, there is another department that handles these calls, but she was the first person I thought to call, and she answered right away. I have only great things to say about her, and am thankful we switched over to Allstate a few years ago. So I want to publicly thank Rhonda for being a 'super agent' regards Debra Hill

I have been with Allstate Kingston Gardiners Rd branch since 2003. Even when I moved I have stayed with them. Filed a claim 3 weeks ago to the day. Called after 1 week of not hearing from an adjuster and they told me they will escalate and fast track the process. Called after 2 weeks of not hearing from anyone and they said I will receive a call within the hour. I actually said I didn't believe her but she assured me I was priority one. Called after three weeks just now after still not hearing from anyone and was told there was no information about my claim in the system and we will have to start again. What a joke. What are we even paying for? Getting a decent price is one thing but if they take your money and have zero accountability when it comes time to actually use them, what's even the point? Now I'm over an hour just trying to start the process again. Get the car fixed, and then bye bye Allstate. If I could give zero stars I would!

UPDATE: 2.5 hours to do another claim as apparently the first time and first person never actually did it. He took all my information, gave me a claim number that doesn't exist and an incident number that doesn't exist. Unreal.

Rhonda has always been nice and cooperative with all the queries and issues I have with my car insurance. She would give you all the best possible options that suits your budget. I would highly recommend her.

Pathetic excuse for customer service.
I have had to HAUNT their phones in order to get someone to talk to me.
Been with them for 10 years and its taken 2 weeks just to get in touch with someone. If you get in an accident pray that the agent your assigned doesn’t go on vacation. Cause so will your claim.
What’s really sad is that it will probably take this public negative review in order to be fully dealt with.
Not to worry Allstate, as soon as my car is fixed I will be going to a different agency.

Rhonda Jarvis, one of the employees at Allstate in Kingston, has hands down been the most kind, helpful, reachable and all around good person I have ever dealt with when it comes to insurance. She has helped me through some hard situations and given me great advice I didn't even realize I needed!

Rhonda has been assisting myself and my spouse now for several years, and every time we have a question or need she provides amazing service. She goes even beyond that though, because she is a wonderful person and chatting with her during these times makes the experience that much better. She really cares, knows her stuff and will always make time for you.

Very slow and poor service. Lack of support and knowledge of their own products let alone what vehicles are. Do not know how to use vin to look up vehicles which speak to their abilities.

I am the victim of a careless driving accident, and now I'm being revictimized by my own insurance company, Allstate. Incredibly bad service overall, and Paul Quinn shouldn't have his job there. He lowballs you, hardly contacts you, and tries to wait you out so you wont have a rental vehicle anymore. Here's another example of his games: I sent him 5 Jeep Cherokee Sport ads similar to mine, 2 of which were 2014, but he said no and claimed its fair instead to compare a 2-wheel drive Jeep Cherokee Limited with 22,000 more km's and $11,300 accident damage repairs done, to my mint condition 4-wheel drive Jeep Cherokee Sport, which I bought accident-free.
I will follow up with the details, as I'm STILL waiting for them to respond to my many, many, many, many attempts to contact them, as has been the case since day 1. Btw, my accident was March 3rd

I see that you have responded to my review, Allstate. I have already made 14 calls to you, including mainly Customer Service and Claims, and I have sent several emails and left multiple phone messages for adjusters and managers.as well, my issue has been escalated twice. Where will the email you're asking me to send now go? I'd like to know if it's just going to waste more of my time.

Was in an accident, took almost 3 weeks for the claims agent to make the initial call and this was after leaving two voicemails and an email for her (I also cc'd her manager in on it, but didn't seem to make a difference). The worst thing you can do is ignore a customer, even though you may not have answers, acknowledgement goes a long way!

So I loved All-State, right up until I needed to submit a claim. I've been given the run around by 3 different people and departments all with different answers, other then 1 answer. Make sure you look at the rental vehicle maximum cap, and take into consideration the times we are currently living in. My truck is going to take 22 days to repair once they have all the parts, and in these times, parts are often delayed 3 weeks plus. The rental agreement with All-State is $1200 which gets me 23 days in a rental while my vehicle gets fixed and I live an hour out of town, how am I supposed to get to work the rest of the time? The collision centre is estimating roughly 3 weeks longer then what All-State is willing to cover, so looks like I need to either find a couch to live on for 3 weeks in town and not see my family. Thanks for your help, I'll be going elsewhere ASAP for insurance!

1 recommendation to new clients. Please call Allstate’s number for any issues as an existing client and just see how long you sit on hold.
I signed up for Allstate’s home insurance and was a client for 2 years, I tried to bundle with car insurance and with the one claim that I had against me and my quote was over $600 compared to under $200 with a different brokerage. I decided to change my home Insurance after receiving a better quote. I sent 3 emails before receiving a response telling me that I needed a hand written letter along with multiple other items. After sending that email with all required items and still not receiving a response, I sent another email to confirm that my email was received… still no response. I then phoned to confirm and I was told that my account was still not canceled but that agent was finally able to cancel it. I ended up having to pay an extra month of my policy because allstate can’t answer emails but at the end of the day my point is; sign up with a brokerage that actually cares about YOU.and not just the money they are making off you like allstate does. Thanks to anyone that read my whole review.

We have been with Allstate for about 20 yrs and always great service. We had a claim last year for water damage and everyone from local office to clean up crew were extremely organized and professional. I would recommend Allstate for all insurance needs.

I contacted my existing AllState Kingston office about insurance for a new seasonal property and Rhonda was very helpful and was able to provide us with better coverage than the competition and for a significantly lower amount. I would definitely recommend Rhonda to friends and family for their insurance needs.

Rachel Brunton, who works in this agency was very helpful. Because of my own reasons, I asked her to amend my insurance policy over and over again. She has no complaints about completing tasks quickly every time in a very professional manner. Allstate is my favorite insurance company - not only they offer better prices than others but also many of its employees are just great!

It was my first time insurance buying experience. Rhonda is super helpful and make the process very easy and efficient. She is very nice and patient. She offers me and my friends tenant insurance at a very good price compared to many other websites I was looking at. I strongly recommend her to anyone who has no previous insurance buying experience.

Recently bought a new motorcycle and was having trouble finding decent insurance at a fair rate, a friend recommend I get in touch with Randy Ferguson and I'm glad I did. Allstate saved my life. Not literally. But my insurance company provider of 20 years wouldn't cover my car insurance because of too many claims that weren't my fault in one year. Even though I never had a claim before. So feeling helpless and hopeless I shopped around for another car insurance and home insurance provider which led me to all risks insurance whom were absolutely wonderful to me but unfortunately with everything moving forward they couldn't insure me. So I was almost in tears at this point driving a brand new Camaro without having any coverage but all risks were so wonderful they referred me to Allstate and I called them right away of course being so desperate and scared.and I spoke to their wonderful staff and they ran my information and in less than a half hour I was covered everything I couldn't believe it I'm actually paying less now for my car and home insurance that I was paying with my original provider of 20 years unbelievable I've never been happier. And they made me feel so comfortable they were so professional and most definitely empathetic and sympathetic and by the end of the conversation it felt like I was talking to a friend like I said all their staff so wonderful and accommodating. I can't praise them enough I can go on and on and on.

I moved to Kingston in September and needed home and vehicle insurance quickly. My previous place of residence was Quebec so I needed help navigating Ontario insurance policies. I was put into contact with Nick Bohdanec and he was a fantastic help. He walked me through the whole process and answered all my questions and really helped make the process as easy as possible. He was efficient and effective in providing me with home and car insurance in the shortest possible delay. I was able to close on my new house and register my new car ASAP because of his help.

When the time came to renew, he reached out to me right away and put in place my new policy as soon as possible. It was a painless process and I didn't even have to think about renewing because he reached out to me before I could! I highly recommend Allstate Insurance and Nick if you are looking for a new insurance provider in Kingston. This is some of the best customer service I have ever had! Don't look anywhere else, Allstate Insurance in Kingston is the place to go!

I recently bought a house, and I was not impressed with the house insurance quote that I got from the company that insured my car. My realtor recommended Randy Ferguson at Allstate, so I gave him a call. I was pleased with the house insurance quote, so I decided to move my car insurance to Allstate as well. Randy was very helpful and knowledgeable, and he was always ready to answer my many, many questions. He has always promptly responded to any concerns that I have had. I will definitely use Randy in the future for any other insurance needs that I might have.
