Even if you couldn't get cheaper better shoes online (which you absolutely can) the few times I went in to look for mens shoes, as soon as I walk through the door, my eyes haven't even adjusted to the light yet n these miserable people start molesting me with sales tactics like aren't you going to take me out to dinner first? N then you're left to wander around this dingy maze of unwanted shoes while these snarling foot gypsies scour the isles for there next victim
Melissa and Jenise were amazing and helped my daughter and I with getting new boots. They were patient and honest and that's what I needed from a sales rep. Thank you for the amazing service.
We have been shopping at Al's for many, many years now. Always a great selection, prices are competitive and the customer service is top notch. They are so well staffed, that there is always someone available to help you. I was in with my daughter tonight, looking for a pair of running shoes. We received some assistance from Bogie (I'm probably not spelling it correctly, my apologies) and Ashley. They were both so helpful and interacted with us as if we were friends, not just customers. That type of service is what keeps us coming back again and again.
This is the only place we buy shoes. They always have what we're looking for, and in our size. The staff is super friendly, and never hard to find in case you need them.
Misleading. I selected a pair of men shoes from a rack labelled” All 19.99 or less” and took them to the counter for payment. To my surprise the lady mentioned that this pair is not included and priced it around $90. She did mention that only one side of the rack is included which is misleading to the customers.
Great place to get boots, huge selection to pick from. I ended up with a pair of steal toe work boots and a pair of steal toe work shoes. The store staff was really helpful, the products pricing was affordable. Will be returning here a few times a year for all my family’s footwear needs.
No one asked me if they could help. It was my first time in there. Just teens running around making jokes. They would just walk by laughing. It was an awkward experience and I would rather shop somewhere else.
Extremely slow service at the register. One staff and a whole big line of people! I tried calling their office to ask them to send some help but no one picked up.
My daughter and I were shopping for shoes for her graduation yesterday. After browsing the aisles and not finding what we were looking for, a lovely employee saw us and asked if she could help. The employees name was Milena. She was absolutely wonderful! She picked out several pairs of shoes for my daughter to try on. Gave advice and tips to my daughter on how to walk in her new heels! She helped us find the perfect pair of shoes to go with her dress! She then helped us find another pair for my daughters birthday gift! Milena is very good at her job, and such a genuine caring person and employee! I highly recommend Shoes Factory Outlet Simcoe, and Milena! Excellent service! Well done!
I went in here for the first time and was greeted my sales guy Mike. Not only was he personable but was a great help. Customer service goes a long was and due to his great service i will be back. Thank you Mike
O M G Anita in Simcoe was the best ever…I brought in an elderly family member and she had the best patience with her…. We walked out with 2 pairs of shoes, thanks to her…
They treat their employees horrible. They will yell at them right infront of customers, wouldn't want to give my money to people to treat their staff so poorly
Went there to get shoes for myself and my husband! Bought them there before and was very happy with them, staff are knowledgeable about the products! Very helpful and find what you are looking for in minutes. We were in and out within an hour with three pairs of footwear! Thanks to the staff who know their stock! Been there twice now and will go again when needed!
Always buy my oversized (size 14 and 15) DC shoes and workboots from here, as well all my kids shoes. Pricing is good for brand name shoes. Sales people are always very helpful.
I have never been to a better shoe store…. The staff are all so knowledgeable and very helpful…. I am sure that having a family of six come into the store must be overwhelming but yet our family has always been treated so well and so has our wallet with there great prices…. We have never left this store unhappy … Keep up the great work guys and thank you ….
Pros: Nice selection of shoes and boots. The prices are reasonable although I didn't actually compare the same product in another store. The store is very well laid out and if you can't find the size you're looking for, the staff will check to see if they have it in the warehouse.
Cons: unlike some of the other reviews I found the staff to be overbearing. No more than 5 minutes in the store, a helping young lady approached me to offer her assistance. Even though I told her I wanted to browse around she started showing me boots I might like. Several boots! I finally asked her if she had one particular style in my size as it was not on the shelf. She went to the warehouse to check. While she was gone four other staff approached me to ask if I needed assistance.
Lucky for me they did have the boot I was interested in and I asked if they would keep it at the counter while I continued to look around. Almost every aisle I went up I was approached by someone asking if I needed assistance.it became extremely annoying so I opted just to pay for my selection and leave. I'm not sure I will go back. The pressure to make a sale seemed overwhelming and made me very, very uncomfortable. I appreciate the fact that they were offering help, but when it is offered multiple times by multiple people in an extremely short period of time I feel it borders on harassment. Maybe some people enjoy this sort of attention, but I prefer to be able to browse on my own.
Great selection and prices but the staff are kinda rude. There were two staff at the cash register and they made several people including myself wait in line for several minutes before they started moving the line forward because they were busy chatting.
This place is pretty awesome. If you can find what you want in your size then it's a great place for deals. I got myself some work shoes and my son a pair of wicked shoes valued just over 300 and all said and done I paid just over 130. They don't have everything but the have one hell of a selection. I will be going back, and I do recommend you check them out.
We always have great service and prices when we shop here but during this pandemic it’s been even better. Their setup for service during the pandemic is so incredibly convenient. They listen to what you’re looking for and grab shoes in various colour options and sizes per your request to try on. Especially with kids shoes it’s so difficult to figure out what the kids will like and what will fit them the best when they can’t go in stores so being able to go and have the kids try them on at the curb is super helpful. We left with a bunch of sandals for the whole family at a great price. Can’t recommend them enough!
Stopped in yesterday to get some shoes for work. I was very impressed by the selection they had, and how they were handling COVID restrictions as business. My boyfriend and I were helped by a salesperson named Jhonna. She was very helpful, and knowledgeable. She helped me get great deal on excellent pair of Adidas running shoes. I am very happy with what I got, and what I spent. If you are in the area and need shoes, especially when we are out of lockdown again, you should check this place out!
The girls providing assistance were kind, knowledgable and had great customer service personalities! Purchased a pair of birkenstocks (at their recommendation) and reeboks. She was helpful with sizing, styles and foot support types (high arch). Recommend!
I went to Al's looking for winter boots. Told the sales person I had $100 tops for new boots. He walked right over to a pair on clearance for $49.95. Awesome deal. Just what I was looking for
I came in with my toddler looking for dance shoes. The cashier told me how to find them in the basement. I passed several sales associates sitting down and chatting to each other, and when heading downstairs a man asked me if I needed work boots. When I replied to him that I was looking for dance shoes he took off in a hurry. No one ever came around to help me, or ask me if I needed any help with sizes or finding anything. I spent 30 mins in the basement alone trying to keep and eye on my kid and find exactly what we were looking for. I highly advise parents with children not to bother coming, you are treated like you are diseased and left at your own mercy. My husband and I believe in supporting local businesses, however each time I've come to this establishment with my child I've been neglected. Its amazing the customer service you get when you are a lone adult looking at expensive shoes.
Last night we arrived thinking it was open until 9 so instead of an hour to shop we had 10 minutes. What a rush. The 2 Gentlemen that helped us were great. Both my Husband and I walked out with our sandals. We will be back
What a place! Mike was phenomenal helping us find the perfect shoes for our needs. He listened, helped us find and far exceeded our expectations. He will now be our go to man for excellent knowledge and experience. The store has more shoes and styles of shoes than you could imagine! Thank you, Mike!
Huge selection, lots to pick from but staff can get pretty busy at times so if you need help you might have to wait. The new location is wonderful, easier to access the selection
Way too many employees on the floor at all times. It feels crowded and makes shopping feel super uncomfortable. Makes me want to get out of there as soon as possible.
Help galore. Large selection. No Red Wing but they did have. Few Doc Martens. Priced in what I would determine is affordable and overall was a very positive experience as shopping is NOT a fun thing for me.
Wow.what a first impression. Will never walk into that store again complete disrespect you guys really should sit down with your staff and go over Customer service. I will be sure to share my experience at this so called store to many people.
Bought a pair of clarks shoes for $159.99. Having a issue with soul because it past 30 days they will not help me. Said I have to call clarks my self. If you want to sell the product you have to look after you customer bad service.
My husband and I came here for work boots for him. We will not be back. We went to go downstairs to where the work boots are *With a huge sign above which says “work boots down stairs”* and we were questioned as to why are we going downstairs? We got downstairs and then had workers all around us out of no where.with a very pushy salesman trying to get us to buy whatever shoe he put on my husbands foot. My husband wanted a specific work shoe and it took us almost 45 minutes for him to fully try a pair on because every time he tried to walk around to try them he would be stopped and the sales person would keep talking!
Finally we got upstairs to pay, and we were greeted with an extremely snobby cashier. Full of attitude, she was even giving my 2 year old daughter dirty looks when she kept saying “hi” to her. Very disgusting attitude. Chewing her gum with her mouth open, loudly, talking in such a snobby tone. We are NEVER coming back to this store. We use to love als.but we have completely changed our mind about that!
Found staff very aggressive, whent down stairs to look for work shoes, found staff followed me every where like I was doing something wrong very uncomfortable to even try a pair on think the have to mark off staff only and open to public, will not be back not welcoming at all
I went in to replace what I thought was a fairly basic style sandal with no luck. I've always gone here for me and my family, but it's been a little while since I've been in. I remember a more helpful staff, but perhaps I just went on an off day. At any rate, there were no styles that I found comfortable, so I'll be going somewhere else. I did get my son shoes, however, and he's happy with them.
I've always liked Al's. Today they did not have the size I needed in the shoes I wanted (not a problem). However, that does not mean I will take something I do not like.
The salesman was aggressive and seemed to be of the delusional belief I would buy shoes I did not like because he pushed them onto my feet. He seriously played the "this pair our that pair" card with shoes I never ask to try on. (REALLY? !?)
There's a lot of selection here! Ask staff if you need help finding something - they are very good at knowing where everything is based on your description of what you want. Some prices are really good and I find some prices are really high. Take your time to look around and you might just find the perfect thing.
My first time purchasing from this store and I will be coming back! The staff were very helpful and friendly. Today was a special coupon day so I got 20 bucks off my purchase! My daughters went back after I got home and bought some shoes as well!
Went in looking for hiking style boot. Service by Mike C.was very good, very helpful. I chose Merrell Moab 2. Only criticism was at check out. Only one cashier working and waited 13mins before served. Aside from that, I left the store with what I intended to purchase.
After spending over $400 I had the worst experience with a weak manager. The salespeople were great though. I understand people can make mistakes but I can't take a manager don't even try to make things better for the client after their own screw up. Instead, she made everything much worse. After a miserable experience she gave us a $20 discount coupon for our next purchase witch we tossed in the garbage. Great job loosing a client! My family and I are never, ever going back there. Also HIRE more CASHIERS.
