I have been seeing Socky for a few years now and there isn’t a single item of clothing that I’ve brought to her that she hasn’t been able to fix! Skirts, countless dresses and pants. She always has the best solutions and is so reasonably priced.

I got my prom dress altered here in june and bought several masks. Thanks to alternations idea my prom dress fit me and I was able to have my special day and wear my prom dress despite covid-19 cancellations! I came back to by more masks and the one that I am wearing in this picture is the black one with paisley designs. The masks are high quality and comfortable they do not make my glasses fog up! I would definitely recommend alterations idea!

Had my wedding jumpsuit altered 2 weeks before my wedding. I was worried because I was 7 months pregnant and ordered the biggest size available and Socky had to size it down but leave enough room for my ever growing belly! She did an amazing job for me and my husband's suit and at such a fair price!

She saved my life last summer and again this spring! Both times I was a bridesmaid with terrible dresses. She worked her magic and I would compare her to perfectionist.which I love and appreciate! That is what you want when you’re getting alterations, someone who not only knows what they’re doing but CARES to do it. My husband and I had the pleasure to have Socky at Alterations Idea alter our wedding clothing. She was outstanding, and her work was done to a very high quality and attention to detail. My wedding dress was several sizes to big, and it comprised of very intricate lace. She was able to fit it perfectly to my size and problem solve on the touch alteration amazingly. I had a great experience with Socky for my wedding dress. It was several sizes too big and it took great amount of skill to alter it so that it fit perfectly. Socky kept me updated on her progress the entire way, I was able to go in for fittings and Socky ensured all the adjustments were made to my liking, and her pricing was extremely reasonable. I highly recommend her!

I needed to get a dress that I bought for my son's wedding altered to make it a little less formal so I could use it again. It was a very expensive dress so I was a little nervous of going to the local seamstress at the Mall. From the first time meeting with Socky, I knew I was at the right place. A truly skilled and talented seamstress. Her and her husband were also very kind when my car broke down in their driveway. Her husband John pulled out his battery booster to help. I will definitely be going back for all my alterations needs.

As a first timer, working with Socky was the best! She was very friendly and easy to work with, and reasonably priced. My bridesmaid's dress came in from the UK (far too large!) and with only 12 days until the wedding, was able to re-fit it perfectly with ample time to spare. I am so happy with the way it turned out and can't believe she did such beautiful hand-stitch-work along the back - fits like a glove! I will definitely be referring everyone here and look forward to working with Socky again in the future.
