Great store. It looks a bit old and stuffy on the inside, they could use a bit of renovating. Otherwise, their comic inventory is huge. They have a large selection of comics, TPBs and Hardcovers from a wide array of publishers. They have back issues of everything, and they always have new comics coming in every other week (and on time). The owners Dave & Doug are very helpful chaps. They always stock my favorite titles i like to collect, and they always keep stuff on hold for me to collect whenever i need to. Would have been nice if they had a bigger space with tables for playing card games as i like to play Magic too. Overall it's a great store and i hope they continue to maintain and improve upon their business model. Too many stores nowadays have sacrificed on comics and now mostly cater to pop culture merchandise which i don't really care for.

No hello as I walked in with no customers around so it's not like store owner was busy with other customers.

No have a nice day as I walked out with no other customers around so once again store owner was not busy therefore this guy could have at least took a few seconds to say hi and bye.

I must also mention that store owner wasn't even on his phone with a customer therefore there is no excuse at all for not being able to acknowledge me.

I will not return, it was my first time there and last time there.

Place has the largest collection of comics and collectibles. The state of comics as well as the collectibles are top notch. The store also has a huge array of Funko pops and trading cards.

Very friendly and awsome owners! Huge selection and such an amazing old school vibe. I will definitely be picking up all my goodies from them.

Was with a couple of friends and we decided to stop by at this comic store to look and potentially purchase some comics. I was browsing though some comics and accidentally dropped one and the store owner comes says, “If you damage it, you’re buying it” like tf.

I have been buying items from Altered States since they opened! The two owners (brothers) are super nice and super knowledgeable about their products!

The selection is vast, and who I believe is the owner, is very friendly, and has everything very well organized! I ask him for a series and the issue, he goes over to the cabinet and quickly finds the issue you're looking for.
Everything is well taken care of, fairly priced, and displayed well! From obscure older issues to new issues.

I have been in and out of here, as life comes and goes, and Doug & Dave have always kept it real. They keep me coming back for the gems they hold and the appropriate prices they offer. If you want to let your inner child geek out a little, you have to check out this gem of a hidden treasure.

Low key, quiet location. Excellent selection of back issues, trades and collectibles. Didn't see a lot of high price back issues, but didn't ask either. The boys know their stuff.

What an excellent store. There is a huge selection of current material. Their back collection is massive. Their RPG section is impressive. The assortment of supplies for storing comics, or other material, is the finishing touch to make this great, neighborhood comic book store the only one you need to visit.

This is a great comic book store in the area. Each of the staff member is very helpful and calm and composed. They have a great knowledge of the books and stock and never try to give a cold shoulder to anyone they really try to help if you ask a question.also they dont have a pushy attitude.the stock is excellent. I always get what i want here.

These guys are great people, offer excellent service. They are honest as you could hope for and are willing to help you get the comic, card, or collectibles you are seeking.

Definately check them out if your around Mississauga or the GTA. THEY'RE ON LAKESHORE.

One of the cool places in Mississauga. From comics to action figures to anime they got em here. Staff are very nice and friendly wont let you feel like your pressured or eyes on you when your inside the shop. They will let you look around for free. But due to COVID they only do curb side pick up only.

Though its moved locations a few times, this place has been around for more than thirty years, no small feat for a small business comic shop. Lots of great memories of playing Double Dragon in the Eighties, then getting my MtG fixes in the mid Nineties.

Great comic book shop. Alot of comics, figures, and books for a store that size. The prices too are reasonable. Recommended.

The guys have been running this store for years, and are consistantly helpful and have a great selection. Worth the trip to Clarkson!

Friendly and helpful staff, interesting stock and great prices! Managed to get a 10 inch charmander which I havent seen anywhere else!

Great little comic shop in Mississauga. When hot books come out on Wed they do their best to make sure everyone gets a copy

Dependable LCS with great selection & service. Like many, it can be a chore to find the time to visit a LCS weekly (especially Wednesday), so it’s a perfect place to pick up a wide selection of books.

Was here and bought a couple things. They have a sizeable selection comics, action figures etc. Some of the complaints seem to be far fetched or exaggerated I think. The owner has a reading chair set up in the new comics section. If he was a rude guy why would he allow the customer to sit and read before buying. However that being said the store is hard to see if you’re driving “ a mortgage broker” takes up the view but what can you do.

Legit comic shop.they dont let greedy flippers snap up all the hot issues on new comic book day. When i am done work i know thatbi have a great chance of getting all the books im looking for on my read list

I live out of town and only get to go to Altered States once or twice a year. That being said I have never been disappointed. They have a good selection of comics and action figures. I can always find something that I'm looking to add to my collection. The staff is laid back and gives you space to browse. The prices are comprable to that of similar stores.

Great place to go back in time. Reminds me of being a kids.good little vibe and friendly staff.

A fine comic store that has graphic novels, weekly releases, figures and toys as well as enormous drawers that contain back issues (not much manga though). A really great place to visit and shop.
