Amazing. I have lots of trauma around dental procedures and a host of mental health issues and I’m used to being berated by dentists for not taking the best care of my teeth. Not only did the lead dentist actually talk to me, but he was completely non-judgemental and just gently encouraged me to take some small steps to improve my dental hygiene.

The hygienists are great too, really friendly and empathetic.

Plus you can tell that everyone who works there really like each other and are a pleasure to be around.

I've had a few bad experiences with dental cleaning and decided to look for a new dentist in my new neighbourhood. The entire staff at Altima Coxwell Dental Centre are approachable and kind. Everyone was professional and on time in their service. I had no problems with each team member as they explained what was needed for my dental care. They are very experienced in their profession and treat one another as a team family. I have found my Dental Care Centre and am very pleased.

Recently I had to move dentists and I came here and I am so glad I did. They are all so nice and you really do feel that you are getting the best care. Would recommend to anyone looking for good dental care.

I've been going here for 10 years. They organized, flexible and friendly! They got me in when I had an emergency recently even though staff and openings are limited due to covid.

I have been with Paul for well over 30 years - and have consistently maintained him as my dentist even as I moved away to other cities, travelling over 2 hours to his clinic because there is no one like him! Suffice to say he is a fabulous dentist who is interested in the whole person. His personality is positive and his work is extremely precise as he strives to perfection. His dental skills are a gift as he works to care for teeth so they will 'last a lifetime'. Thank you Paul for your humour and support of my health and for being in key to all the radio songs! Thank you for assisting me over the many years - and for skipping a tennis match because I fell off my bicycle and needed dental help.or the time I got hit in the front tooth by a flying soccerball that resulted in surgery.you have always been front and centre in supporting me! I've been in Dr. Paul Alter's capable hands for many years, almost as long as he has been in practice. Even though I now live in St. Catharines, I don't want to go anywhere else. When I first went to him, my dental health was poor. He was not sure he would be able to save all of my teeth, but he did. Thanks to him I turned the corner and improved my dental hygiene forever. I ended up with many crowns and they have all held up perfectly. Recently I needed bridgework when an implant was not viable and I couldn't be happier with the result. The drilling appointment to prep two crowns to support a new tooth was quite grueling in length, but Dr. Alter's work was so good, my Fitbit recorded 70 minutes of sleep! I was wide awake of course (from all the noise), but that's how relaxed I was! The level of professional care and sound advice Dr. Alter provides is 5 stars all the way.

Dr. Marangos is AWESOME! The entire staff at Altima Coxwell is incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. They always greet me with huge (beautiful) smiles and only let me leave when I’ve been fully taken care of. Thanks guys!:)

Dr. Paul Alter has taken care of my mother, father, and me for decades and I have never had a problem with the service. Aside from his dental work, he has always shown a sincere interest in our overall health, and happiness. He has a great sense of humour, has always been respectful, and has treated us well. I can’t say enough about how well Dr. Alter has looked after me for decades.

My thanks to Dr. Alter for a smooth tooth removal a couple weeks ago! It has healed perfectly and there was almost no pain throughout. Really excellent!

This clinic is a godsend. After being dismissed by many practitioners, Dr Alter willingly offered so much information that allowed me to make an informed decision regarding treatment options. Went there for three appointments. Great friendly service all round from everyone including the dentist, receptionists, hygienist, and the x-ray technician. Would definitely recommend.

This is based on my one and only visit to this center. What I didn't like about this process is how I'm not told what procedures will be conducted on me.
Second, the dentist was. How do I say. In a hurry. And not quite friendly or adept at explaining in layman's terms. His overuse of medical jargon was overwhelming and I honestly couldn't figure out, at the end, what dental issues I had and what further needs to be done.
Felt like he was sort of judging me and I honestly didn't understand the importance of the advice he gave me. 2 hour visit overall and I came back more worried and confused than I was prior to the visit.

I love every employee I've met here! They're extremely patient, personable and professional. If you want the best dental hygienist you've ever had, book an appointment with Raymond. Ask him about dogs. You won't regret it.

I have a filling from here that I'm not madly in love with, but I could just.avoid getting cavities in the future? That's probably ideal.

Also super clean, especially during The Year We Won't Name, very safe and sanitary. They're taking every precaution they need to.

Wonderful! I have known Dr. Fawad from the days he was a dentist in Pakistan. I still have a perfectly working bridge since 2005. He has soft hands and a compassionate heart towards his patients. Recently had 2 extractions done. No issues. Working with him on my dental plan. The front desk is extremely friendly! Makes you feel at ease! All the best for the Altima Coxwell Team!

Dr. Alter solved my jaw pain! He designed a dental appliance that when worn at night, keeps my jaw from clenching in my sleep. No more odd wake-ups during the night and my jaw no longer aches when I wake up. Highly recommend seeing Dr. Alter to get outfitted for one of these appliances.

Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. I am very impressed with the measures put in place for COVID-19. I am put off by two of the hygienists who drag out my scaling and polishing appointments. First dentist's office I have ever come across this.

Best dentist I've ever been to - and I've been to a lot all over the world. Friendly, stress free, pain free, thorough - of all the things I'm going to miss when I move away is this dentist.

This review is an update to treatment I received from Dr. Paul Alter four years ago for my TMJ disorder and sleep clenching problem. Dr. Alter was able to help me when no one else could. For the five years prior to meeting Dr. Alter, I had been suffering from a number of issues that medical specialists couldn't solve, including severe eye strain, neck pain, facial pain, and a posture that I couldn't correct. I'd spent years and literally thousands of dollars on tests, chiropractic care, physiotherapy, massage therapy, etc, to no avail. I was told repeatedly that nothing was wrong.

As things got worse, I shared some of my concerns with Dr. Alter, and after an examination and some testing, he diagnosed me with a TMJ disorder. He put me on a three month TMJ treatment plan using a specialized guard during the day and a different type of guard at night. Now, four years later, the majority of my clenching, grinding and 90% of the neurological symptoms have disappeared and are still in remission.

I sleep better, and am very happy with the new path my life has taken, thanks to a dentist who listened patiently and looked at the big picture. Thank you, Dr. Alter.

Dr. Paul Alter is a fantastic dentist. I have had the pleasure of having him as my dentist for over 20 years and the service he has provided has been exemplary. His work is great and he always takes the time to explain things and to address any concerns. I would strongly recommend him.

Dr Alter took the time to assess, treat and educate, beyond dental health, but how oral health, influences your overall health. This is functional medicine at its best!

I was there for a total of 18 minutes for a sore tooth. The dentist got me to bite down a bunch of times and charged $192. My tooth still hurts.
Never going here again.

Dr. Marangos is awesome! He fixed my TMJ which was excruciatingly painful. He puts me at ease and makes sure I'm always comfortable with any dental work. I would recommend him to everyone.

Dr Alter is the first dentist who has ever given me consistently pain-free injections prior to dental work.
