The building manager, Nicollet, was a wonderful person, professional and responds quickly and efficiently to any questions or issues and was kind to the very end when we moved in. Loved the place. Clean, Cozy, beautiful, modern and had mostly retired people living in there so it was always nice and quiet as well. I recommend it to everyone I know.

It's only been a month and a half but we are happy we made the choice to move to the Alto Towers. Everyone we have dealt with has been friendly and accommodating. Voula was great as we tried to decide if this was the right move for us. She has been so easy and pleasant to work with. The same goes for Shane, the building manager. Whenever we need something he's there for us. We look forward to living here for many years.

I have found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. Shawna, Nana and Roman keep the building clean and spotless every day. Shane-Michael has a pleasant presence and is constant resource. The quality of building material and appliances is top quality. Would highly recommend Alto II to anyone considering apartment living.

If you want to enjoy garbage trucks at 5 o clock and if you dont mind a very noisy tractor at 5 o'clock which driven by one of the employees to clear the snow and take out the garbage containers, then this is the place for you. Lol 7.30 am i really wish, if you just have decided lie then no one can do anything.

Sad to see this management resort to paid "5 star" reviews from SEO marketing companies. Anyways, many reason for the one star, but living next to a commercial parking lot is horrific. Constant delivery trucks backing up at 4am, snow removal graders at 12am, car alarms during day time. Closing the windows helps a bit.but hearing your neighbours talk next door and the floor above through the paper thin walls and floors is more horrific. Older buildings are built much better quality with sound proofing than this plaster job.

Our move from a high rise condo to the Alto II Tower Apartments was a very good choice. We found that our unit is very comfortable, with a great North view. We can see the water tower in Ilderton from our unit.
The staff and management are ready to assist with any needs in a friendly manner.
As normal, whether in a condo or apartment, if only some of the residents were as considerate as the staff and management. This would really make our apartment a 5 star building.

Noisy Noisy Noisy. Very cheap thin walls and floors and hear neighbours walking around all day and toilet noises. If window open little bit you can hear all neighbour phone calls too. Almost $3000 per month to live in a cheap hostel too close to a very busy road.

I've been here for little over 3 months now and already know 2 neighbors who moved out because of thump noises from above floors. Did the builder cheap out on the subfloor material? Hard to sleep when you can hear every toilet flush and every single walking step from the people above. Maybe lower that $2650 monthly rent if you saved money on floor insulation. Also, parking. The builder literally went with the absolute minimum code for stall width and garage door width. More door dings than a Walmart parking lot and for $100/month parking. Feel bad for the new manager who have to put up with the constant noise complaints. Everything else we can live with. But please do something about people walking barefeet on hardwood floors! Time to send out more "reminder" letters to everyone? People just can't be recklessly pounding their heels into the floors when walking to the fridge. For the love of God!

Like many of the people that live in this building, we sold our house and moved into this apartment having never lived in an apartment before. We chose this apartment for three reasons: 1) we like the location, 2) it is a new building and 3) the building is smoke free. We find that our building is kept very clean. The cleaning staff are constantly washing the hall floors and vacuuming the carpets. The management and staff are very friendly. For the most part, the residents are also friendly. We find that periodically people do smoke on their balconies and some dogs bark in their apartment for hours on end. In hindsight we should have chosen a building that is pet free. We’ve even seen our neighbours above us dump (what we think is) water off their balcony on ours. This is no fault of management and they address it promptly when notified about it. Nevertheless it’s impossible to stay on top of it.
We have our underground parking spot so parking is never an issue for us. But we can’t understand why there are so many handicap spots in the visitor parking lot. Out of 24 available spots, 9 are designated as handicap. That’s 38 per cent. The by-law is from 1 to 12 spots you need one for handicap. From 13 to 100 spots you need 4 per cent. I’ve rarely ever seen any more than two vehicles parked in the handicap spots at any one time. It’s frustrating when we have company over, register them in the 1Valet parking system, and when they get here there’s no visitor parking available so they have to park at No Frills, yet there’s many handicap spots available. Since the parking spots are not clearly marked, many times I’ve seen two vehicles take up three spots. I would suggest to Alto to paint lines on the ground to clearly identify each parking spot including the handicaps.
After living in a detached house for over 40 years, we’re not accustomed to living in such close quarters with so many people. Over all I would say that our experience has been a pleasant one. We are cognizant of our neighbours so we are mindful about excessive noise. But not everyone exercises the same courtesy. We don’t know what the people are doing above us but there is constant banging on their floor which is our ceiling. We do our best to tolerate it and the other noise that they generate on a daily basis.
Thank you for allowing us to be your tenants. We look forward to staying here and making this our home.

Love our apartment in Alto 2. Beautiful apartment with nice finishes and good appliances. Love our view and the balcony facing north. Onsight manager Shane-Michael is awesome - very responsive and helpful. Have only needed one repair so far and it was handled the same day I let them know about the issue. Love the dog park (although do agree that it would be good to do something about the drainage). Cleaning staff do a fantastic job and are very friendly. Love the amenities especially the gym and the roof top terrace. Tenants are generally quiet but friendly. A little noise from stompy stomp upstairs at times but that's all we ever hear and we're getting used to it. Please make temp settings a little cooler in the fall and winter- much easier to put a sweater on than to cool down a hot apartment at night. All in all we absolutely love it here.

I cannot express just how much I love living here. The owner is personable, the cleaning staff are amazing. The property Manager Shane always goes above and beyond. Phil in maintenance is the man!

The misery that is Alto Towers. It is October 10th and 80 degrees with 70% humidity in my apartment. Complaints to management are met with platitudes and resignation and falsehoods. What falsehood? The city of London requires that heat be available if the temperature falls below 16 degrees C. That DOES NOT explain why they have turned off the AC. We pay 2500$ a month and are sweltering, miserable in our apartment. Our dogs are panting and trying to shed their fur coats. So you think, take them for a walk to the dog park. We wait for 20 minutes for an elevator, because only about 20% of daylight hours are two elevators working. So you wait and let full elevators go by waiting for one you can put a dog in. Finally we get outside and the dog park is a swamp. The sprinkler system has no drainage and the water all collects in the dog park. Well, at least at night, things will cool down and everyone can sleep. OOPS, the walls and floors are paper thin, and the students in the building are having a party. So whether it is our upstairs neighbor stomping, or the students down the hall entertaining, no sleep to be had.

Over the past year I have lived in Alto tower 1, personally I have had a good experience and if I didn’t buy a house I would have stayed long term. The owners are top shelf along with the Managment team. They care and this is their first build so I would like to say well done. I am excited to see what the future brings for York Dev. These towers are beautiful and I enjoy the dog park and how close I am to get groceries. I would recommend to my friends and family. Thanks alto team for the great year

I agree with the other poster
Apt looks nice but way too warm at this time of year still need A/C
We just moved in this week
the tenant above paces all day thump thump could have been more sound proofing
We have a constant fan noise in the unit on 2nd floor very annoying
Very stuffy in the unit we have a window open but still way too warm & stuffy
The unit we looked at was in Tower 2
We were told this unit in Tower one was the same.well it is not
The parking garage is a nightmare

Suppose to be carts for tenants to use to bring things to your apt
well try to find one
Then 6: 30 am the exodus from the underground begins & the noise from the garage door wakes you up
not to mention the dumpster pick up YIKES

We were moving on short notice & did not have time to really check out London as were lived 3 hrs away
That was our mistake
Cannot wait until next Sept & we can get out of here

We moved in here just over 2 weeks ago and I am quite disappointed. The size of the apartment is quite good for the price and the closet storage space is very good but that is about the only good thing I can say about the unit itself. The appliances are functional but are the bottom of the line except for maybe the washer and dryer. There is little or no soundproofing between floors as I can hear the people above us walking around and making loud noises all day and into the night. Our unit is at the rear of the building and only on the 2nd floor and 2 - 3 times a week around 6: 30 in the morning the garbage dumpsters are taken out side to be emptied. VERY LOUD is an understatement. The noise will wake anyone up. The high ceilings look nice but the entire living area becomes a reverberation chamber that seems to amplify every little sound. Maybe I will get used to it but I don;t think so.
