Altum Health - Vaughan

This past March I slipped on ice and suffered a traumatic shoulder dislocation, resulting in: a torn labrum, hill sachs lesion and a crazy painful "frozen shoulder" condition that just wouldn't quit. After 3 months with minimal progress at a different Rehab, I switched to Altum health and my recovery really took off. It was such a relief to finally start seeing ROM progress, I cried at home when I could finally bring my arms up and over my head again (I hadn't done this in 5 months). During my PT journey I was taken through a strategic step by step process, with a dedicated team of professionals: Monique, Aubrey, Umang and Sylvie. My experience with my surgeon Dr. Liroux was also very reassuring. I highly recommend Altum Health - Vaughan location! Thank you.

Altum health helped me achieved my goals of recovery. I was involved in a accident where someone pulled me down to the floor with all their weight, caused me to injure my back. I saw many doctors and had many xrays, MRIs and Ct scans done. I was told that only 5% of people make a full recovery of back injuries and that I am not part of the 5%. Also, I was told to look at options of changing my career. I was told many negative things. I suffered from uncontrolled pain for months regardless of the many pain medications/treatments. To top it off those medications had many unpleasant side effects. I had my injury in October of 2021 and started my therapy with Altum in March 2022. The best thing to ever happen to me in regards of this injury is to have Aubrey as my kinesiologist. Regardless of uneffective medications and pain management treatments, she believed in me. She didn't treat me as just a patient, she treated me like a human. She had compassion. She knew when to push me harder and when to remind me to take it easy. She was there for me every step of the way. I went from unable to have full range of motion or even pick up a pillow to being able to lift heavy weights. I would like to publicly thank her for being a great kinesiologist and even better human. Being a 23 year old with a back injury that turned my life around, almost unrecognizable is a horrible experience but I am thankful to Aubrey and Altum for being there and believing in me. July 06 of 2022, I am at 85% recovery and happy to say that I am officially discharged from treatment. I hope you guys are as lucky as I am in landing an expert kinesiologist to be with you every step of recovery.

I went to ALTUM Health late last year, having attended a previous clinic with no significant results. Aubrey my assigned physiotherapist did an amazing job in getting me back on my feet, with a stringent workout plan, and an approachable, supportive and friendly demeanor. And with the assistance from Krystina and Vinye my experience though challenging at times, was pretty smooth due to the additional support. You ladies are awesome and the overall team is great. I was referred here by WSIB for a work related injury. From the moment you walk in to Altum Health Vaughan you are welcomed with smiles and a genuine concern for your well being. Christina, Alex and Jody are awesome. Christina works her magic to schedule all the appointments. My OT Belsky sets you up on a program for success, with her infectious laugh and always positive attitude. The entire team Alfred, Angela, Sylvie, Aubrey, Ida and all the Doctors were great!

I had such an amazing experience at this clinic. You are greeted by Alex, Christina and Jodi whom are so kind and welcoming! The on going support and encouragement from everyone on my neurology team made this an experience I will never forget. They were with me every step of the way. I will miss these amazing people.

Very well organized phisiotherapy place.
After a few months I decided to edit my review for a few reasons. After a deeper consideration I realized that I didn't receive effective treatment. The therapist works only with affected areas and the other parts of your body remains stif due to lack of proper activity. After a while I decide to get local gym membership and arrange personal trainer. Three months later I have wonderful results, I'm walking and doing my daily activities pain free. I stop taking pain killer and today I can tell that not everything is good as it looks. Thus I am deciding to change my rating giving only 3 stars.

An appointment in 9 days? Makes no sense to me especially if I'm a new customer. I'm sure physio is good but the reception did not try to find me any solutions or alternate. It was take it or leave it.

Altum health n Vaughn, this people r so professional, kind, helpful & knowledgeable, I love everybody here but Christina & Alex @ the front desk are d icons of Altum, their kindness, help & care put big smiles on my face, I come to this clinic with lots of pains but when I c Christina or Alex I get much better, I look at them like my family, THESE PEOPLE WORKING SO HARD & THEY DESERVE AT LEAST HEALTHY VEGETARIAN PIZZA BUT NOT CANDDY OR COOKIES. I recommend all people who deals with pain in this place, thnx so much.

This clinic is incredibly disorganized! They kept claiming they left me voicemail for my upcoming appointments and there was only one message once out of the many that they claim they left. The one message said that they were confirming an appointment but they didn't say when (date or time). I'm INCREDIBLY disappointed with their lack of communication with me as a patient. Unfortunately, this booking of appointments and not letting me know about them (and claiming that they called and left messages) did NOT just happen once. If I could I would leave ZERO stars for this clinic. I'm quite disappointed as this clinic was recommended by a doctor that I was seeing for an assessment. A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!

I had an assessment scheduled at this location this week. The staff forgot to mention that I arrived at the location to the doctor. So we (doctor and I) were waiting for each other for an hour. Please be more attentive next time.

They are not professional. Aside from the front desk. The staff are cold and don't really care about you.

Highly impressed with the level of personal care shown by the staff, right from the moment you enter the door.
The facility is very clean, bright but not sterile.
Assessments are thorough and specific which give you confidence in the resulting recommended treatment plan.

Warm and courteous staff at every level who really seem to care about your progress and really do stay ever mindful of the pain your working through on your way to recovery. Immaculately clean facility with a very large assortment of equipment and loads of room to do it in.

If you need physio this is the place to go! Went in with a back injury and after 3 months of working with the staff, I feel amazing. All thanks to the wonderful staff at Altum health. Wonderful program, great people.

Altum Health Vaughan is an exceptional Physio establishment, the best that I’ve seen since I’ve been dealing with spinal cord issues, going back to the late nineties.
I can rattle up a whole list of what makes Altum Health Vaughan so special. But, the key differentiator for me is by far the staff. They are very knowledgeable, cheerful and friendly.
From the moment I walk in, I’m always greeted with a big smile from Alex & Michelle at the front desk, before I go see my Physiotherapist Michelle Cohen. I cannot say enough about Michelle Cohen. She is a professional to the core. She takes my health very seriously, asks questions, listens, offers tips/advices and depending on how I have been feeling the previous 24 hrs, never hesitates to tweak my exercises. I’d recommend Altum Vaughan to anybody, anytime for appropriate care, by a staff that truly cares.
