I called over a month ago and the young lady I spoke to said someone would call me back. 3 weeks later a gentleman called me. He did not know what I had called for so I told him and he said he would come the next morning between 10 and 10.30 am. That was 2 weeks ago. He was a no show and no one has called me since. Very disappointed

Buyer Beware! This company does not stand by their products! $9,000.00 worth of new construction windows ordered and not one of them are of any use to me as they are all defective. Window corners were to be welded as shown on their website. Photos show Blue Ducttape covering each corner and also shows warping has started and most have not even been unwrapped! Buyer Beware!

They did my roof and it was worth every penny! Would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get their roof done right! Wish I could give them 10 stars thank you so much

Apart from the fact that they did a good job of our new roof, and apart from the fact that the final price was exactly the same as the initial quote, I appreciated the professionalism of AM. They have been in business for a long time now, and my experience with them shows why that is.

Where do I start? First I couldn’t have an appointment even booked without my “wife” present. The assumption I have a wife that I’m not queer. When the consultant showed up and my partner was a man, snide remarks but they where the only company that showed up. So I was basically forced to sit through there 2 hour presentation. When I said I needed to think about it the salesman got aggressive and forcefull. I figured no one else was showing up I need to go with these guys because they where there. After a nightmare of getting the job done including urinating and profanity on my property. Even some homophobic remarks.
When I called to complain I was forwarded to the general manager Andy? Something. He told me to “chill out princess”, what did I expect from roofers. A complete a udder disgrace to the industry. STEER CLEER

BUYER BEWARE! Failed Roof Repair… but contractor keeps money!

In late October of 2019, AM Roofing of Collingwood applied an EPDM membrane to the leaking roof of my sunroom, at a cost of $3000.00. In mid November it rained, and the roof was still leaking. I called the company immediately and their production supervisor came to look at it. This young man commented, although I’m sure he regrets his words now, that he didn’t understand why the workman had even installed the EPDM given that the roof itself was in such poor structural condition. This assessment of the overall condition of the roof was subsequently corroborated by another roofing company as well as by an independent professional engineer, and it was determined by both that the only possible solution was total replacement. So the question becomes: Given the very poor condition of the roof, should the AM salesman and subsequently the repairman not have recognized that the EPDM membrane would be futile? And should they not then have declined the job or suggested an alternate solution rather than taking my $3000 for a job that was doomed to fail?

It should also be noted that the initial contract was for $5000 and included the removal of the existing roofing material and sheeting and replacing it with new ½” plywood. By sheer luck I was home when the workman arrived. He had no plywood with him and said there was no plywood involved in the job, either to be removed or to be installed. I immediately called AM Roofing who offered no explanation for this huge discrepancy, and reduced the price to $3000. But I have to wonder…. If I had not happened to be there when the workman arrived, would that “error” have been caught, or would I now be out $5000 rather than $3000?

Once the repair failure was identified in November, the company did offer to install, at no additional charge, several wood pillars to support the roof to keep it from collapsing, but that really did not seem viable to me, and certainly was not aesthetically appealing. I queried the possibility of constructing an extension from the shingled main roof of the house, and the production supervisor said there would be an additional cost but that he would price it for me and get back to me, which he did not. In late March I called him and advised that I didn’t want to take any further steps with them, and that I wanted a refund. The supervisor said he would take the matter up with higher management but then I heard nothing back and it took many attempts on my part before I finally connected with the general manager in early May. The general manager came to look at the roof and declined to reimburse on the basis that the roof had structural faults, which is unquestionably true, and which simply underscores my claim that they should have recognized this and not attempted the repair. He further pointed out, to my amazement, that the roof now only leaks when there is snow and ice present. That is a true statement, but hardly a persuasive one in defense of a failed roof repair.

I am a senior on a limited income and I do not have the resources to pursue this matter through legal channels, so it seems I will have to absorb this $3000 loss. But hopefully someone else will read this and spare themselves the expense and aggravation I have experienced through AM Roofing. I say again. …. Buyer beware.

So disappointed with AM Roofing.
I had multiple problems with this company. We had our roof done in August and are still waiting for a service worker to come back to fix dented eves troughs and other problems.even a call back would be nice (Its December now!) We were very patient with the roof job being pushed back & spread out randomly across the week - but very caught off guard when the crew showed up unexpectidly at 8: 00 in the evening (as I was putting my baby to bed) to finish the job. We had neighbors complain that the crew were very loud & vulgar. We were promised that somebody would come back the following day to finish cleaning up & it never happened. I'm still picking up nails and debris. The sales team seemed so friendly & were very convincing that they would be checking in on the job during & afterwards to make sure we were happy customers.this did not happen! I would not recommend this company. I'd suggest to find a company that doesn't contract their work out.
